      Strictly speaking, all starter Pokemon are event-exclusive, on the account of the act of receiving a starter being an event itself. So yeah, all starters should be fine...

      It's not going to be a very hard run, so you can choose any. To speed things up, I suggest you start with a Bulbasaur or a fire monkey
