Those times in video games when you are tasked to beat up a guy, so you do. You beat the bloody pulp out of him. Then the cutscenes happens and it shows you getting beaten up instead or your character complains about how powerless they are. Despite just proving to the player how powerless they aren't...

$15 isn't that much money guys haha. Besides that, Mael and I played a lot of matches last night and are starting to get decent at it. Mael was getting good at controlling space and understanding how to use Kragg's rocks and Orcane's puddle. I was also starting to get a good grasp of the burn bros and was starting to figure out some cool combos with them. I was also figuring out some cool tricks using Forsburn's smoke.

I am more "not surprised" if anything.

Some interesting details were released about the game. For starters, the characters use a Phone App to enter the other world. They are also on a mission to "Purge people's hearts that of which is tainted." Aka make big business people who are douchebags less douchey. There is also some info regarding the new characters and personas. They all have theme revolving around thieves who steal from the rich and give to the poor. This is Arsene, whom is based on Lupin Arsene. Who is based on a character from a classic piece of French Literature. There is an anime based on the character as well as a NPC from Assassin's Creed 2. This Persona is obviously of the Fool's Arcana This Persona is Captain Kidd. He is based off (obviously) a famous Pirate. You may have seen his/her face in tons of media, with the most recent one being Assassin's Creed 4. This Persona is obviously of the Magician's Arcana. This one was obvious (looks at the Z on the belt and how the creature sketched a Z with his sword in the trailer.) This is Zorro, a story of a legendary spaniard who would carve Z's as his calling card. It is also strange that they gave a this female character a Male persona. Then again... there was Naoto. I am predicting that this Persona's Arcana is Justice. This persona is based on the Bizet Opera, Carmen. You may have heard this song once before... Predicting that this Persona's Arcana is Lovers. Mael made fun of me for knowing what the Carmen Opera was This is the fifth protagonist's Persona, Goemon. You may have again heard of this character who in anime and video games. He is a Japanese thief who is often shown having over exaggeratingly bad ninja skills. You may also remember this character. If I had to guess what Arcana this is I would put money on Hierophant.

Interesting stuff. I don't know a whole lot about the character because I have been playing Forsburn more than anyone else.

Orcane's Fair has a weird hit box on his back.

I got maelstrom to play it with me the other day and he was really enjoying it too. I like the Burn Bros and the Beetle and he was liking the Beetle and the whale.

Happy Birthday Xiph! Don't have too much fun, (a day without me in anyone's life couldn't possibly be fun).

I repeat, that isn't the actual MU. That is my mindset, sure Mac "loses" to shiek, but he is my preferred character to fight her with. Same goes for most of the roster. -

Watched your video, Ryan, and it is all mostly true. When I play competitive I always play the MU, not the tier. I always keep in mind who my characters lose to, and what characters are less "risky" to play. Sometimes you lose not just because of the match up. But because of a playstyle. Character-wise, these are the things I keep in mind. (And this is based on my personal experiences, not the actual MU themselves) Mac: Loses to Mario, Rosalina, ROB, DDD, and Villager. (Sometimes Jigglypuff) Fox: loses to Luigi, Mario, DDD, Jigglypuff, Kirby, and Falcon. (sometimes Falco) I can deal with Mario and sometimes Jigglypuff using Yoshi. Falcon and DDD stuggle against Robin, Mega Man, and Samus. If Falcon, Mario, or Ganon are giving me trouble for some reason, Ryu wrecks them. If I need to be heavier, I go Ike, Charizard, or Bowser. But all in all that is mostly my mindset. -
Yeah, shofu did play it. Though I first heard of it from Event Hubs.

Half of his moves are ripped straight from Bowser and DK. What I meant by "copied" is that the game uses the same exact moves and animations as smash characters. 90% of Zettaburn's move set is identical to Wolf's. Animations and every thing. Not similar, but identical.

Anyone here playing this game? It is on steam early access ATM for $15. It is essentially Super Smash Bros for PC and it is pretty fun. The characters are a bit on the Furry Bait side, but they are pretty cool. The game also shamelessly steals a lot from smash. (Cough cough Zettaburn)

the other problem with the fox vs Ganon MU is that Ganon only struggles against those he cannot approach... Fox HAS to approach him. But I wouldn't call the MU 50/50 Fox's speed can give Ganon a load of problems. -

Fox loses to Luigi bad... Like really bad... 70:30 Falcon beats fox ~60:40 IMO. Fox can be easy for falcon to read, gimp, and kill. Fox is also a fast faller which makes him easy to combo despite his size. Fox and Mac players hafta practice special techniques to get out of certain loops and chains. And the Mario Bros's nair is like... The best anti combo tool in the game fox really really REALLY relies on his combos. He can also struggle against Jigglypuff and Kirby for the same reasons. They are small and floaty. They can be almost impossible for fox to combo. -
Playing a competitive game online and meeting up with one of your YouTube Senpais. MaximillianDood's combos hurt ;(

Up Air is stupid good on him. He also has long legs so he can camp under platforms with it too, which is again... Stupid good. -

And his whirling fortress. Bowser can pressure Ganon and approuch Ganon in ways Ganon can't. Bowser is only at the disadvantage when Flame Choked. I would also strongly disagree with the "being one of the best edge guard game" comment. -

I still need to play this game... I told myself that I would get it on my Vita as soon as I finish the Ratchet and Clank Collection (100%) and so far I am about 60-70% on R&C2.

I would suggest being careful when talking about spoilers here. You can literally put spoiler talk in by putting after your words and before your words.

No, against DK, Charizard, and Ganon its 50/50 or 55/45 or something like that. DK has combos, Ganon has Side B bullshit, and Charizard has his Rock. Out of the three I would say he is mostly even with Ganon. Even though Bowser is technically one of the worst, people can still kick ass with him. It's just really really hard and takes a lot of skill and effort to win with him consistently. I have no clue how practical the Mii gunner or swordsman is, but Zelda and Samus have fewer bad match ups than Bowser does. -

Bowser can't keep up with certain really dodge-y characters. This can be super pokey characters like Shiek or Greninja, Ground Dodge-y characters like Little Mac or Sonic, or air dodge-y characters like Jigglypuff or Peach. He also cannot deal with projectiles will, Like Spammy types like Samus or Megaman, Campy Types like Zelda or Villager, or set up characters like Rosalina or DHD. He also struggles against people with weapons. This can range from faster lighter sword wielders like Lucina or Metaknight, to heavier weapon users like Ike and DDD. He is also terrible Combo fodder. So characters like Falcon and Fox have a holiday with him. He has a bad match up against majority of the roster, and since tier lists are based around Match ups rather than power levels, he is pretty bad over all. Despite being able to beat the crap out of anyone who is surprisingly not in any of those categories. -
The part in Catherine when you have to escort Kathrine up a tower while Catherine is chasing you.... fuck that game.
