  1. I don't recall anything about Heathers mother, can someone freshen me up as to what we know about her?

    From what I remember,

She was killed by Sirius while giving birth to Heather because he planned to steal the Ruby Ring. Then, a while later, he got syringe'd by Corey.

  2. And it appears I screwed up if what BBD has posted in his spoiler is correct. Athough how she of all people gets captured really is beyond me...

Edit: Actually, now I'm even more confused based on Amanojaku's post. Also how do you use spoiler tags? And who was I meant to have be captured?

The ending that's usually considered the "canon" one is the one in which Sapphira gets kidnapped, since you get to learn more about a certain spoiler character. You can't get it if you fight Sigmund at Yureyu and it's not something that changes the game that much, so you shouldn't really worry about it.

Sapphira only gets kidnapped because she's poisoned by Sirius' Seviper, by the way.

  3. A good place to train Snubbull/Granbull and Drifblim would be at the Unown room under the Grand Stairway. They give good experience and aren't hard to beat. You could train Meditite in Pyrous Volcano, since you'll get Magcargo most of the time when using Rock Smash in the pillars.

  4. In my first run, the hardest Gym Leader for me was Aya. She was so hard that I needed to train a Cubchoo until it evolved and learned Icicle Crash, breed it with a female Piloswine, train the Swinub to lv 40, evolve it all the way to Mamoswine and train a random Noibat to lv 40 so it could survive Earthquakes and support the team with Tailwind. Even then it was hard. The second hardest was pre-nerf Noel, since my best Pokémon, Venusaur, got wrecked by two-thirds of his team and the rest had to pray to the RNG to stand a chance. Clefable was hilariously easy with Toxicroak, though.

Then my old PC got bricked and I'm doing a second run. Aya was still the hardest Gym Leader, though this time it's because I'm waiting for EP15 to battle Serra.

The hardest non-GL bosses would be Sigmund (on the first run) and Sirius (on the second run) at Yureyu, because Cain's Pokémon spent most of the time spamming weak attacks or hitting themselves.

  5. Yes please!!! Absol is sooooo cool.. <3

    Shiny-Mega-Absol

I can totally get why Absol is Reborn's mascot.. It goes perfectly with the theme.. Also I find it perfectly linked with the protagonists.. And kind of complementing.. Consider this, it appears to warn us of disasters due to its nature and we act to prevent disasters.. Though if you think about it if it weren't for us both Corey and Kiki would be alive.. So in a sense we created the issue that brought the Absol around and we act to prevent it..

Not really, at least about the Kiki part. If the player character wasn't there she'd die anyway, except everyone else on the academy would die too.

  6. Why the ! after every Young...

But yeah I would love to know how two Lins can exist in the first place. If the one from the orphanage ended up in Citae d'Arc... yeah that place, how did the 'adult' Lin end up outside of that place?

Also... Lin looks a lot older than Laura or even Saphira. If they did stay at the same orphanage, they should be of similar age right?

    TvTropes jargon, sir.

Well, I don't really know how to explain Lin 1 getting out from that place whose name I can't spell. Arceus did it, perhaps? I mean, we already have some characters violating common sense, she wouldn't be the first.

Laura is 18, so Lin would probably be on her early-to-mid 20s. She wouldn't be the first villain that's younger than they look (coughCyruscough), but she has an enormous list of achievements, including dethroning Solaris. Maybe she's had some help from above?

  7. Young!Lin's hair looks rather greenish to me. Not exactly Adult!Lin's shade, but it's not exactly black. And if I'm not mistaken, hair tends to become lighter or darker over time, so our favorite Steelix-killer wouldn't need hair-dying shenanigans.

So, if two Lins really exist, how would this work in-story? Something like "Young!Lin escaped from the orphanage, hid in the Grand Stairs and fell into a crevice. She eventually ran into the Citae Arc d'Asdfgh and met the same baby Arceus that Terra mentions in the Glitch City, becoming obsessed with reviving it and being split into two Lins, one that grew up as the Lin we know today and one that stayed behind and didn't age.", maybe? If I'm not mistaken, someone mentions at one point that young!Lin was a sociopath even before she joined Team Meteor, so this wouldn't be out-of-character. It'd be a bit weird, though.

If this turns out to be canon, Young!Lin should be named Linkastel.

  8. Wow I always thought it was the twins that got caught, no idea the scenario would play out differently. I always fought Sirius at Tazan grove but Saphira getting captured seems weird since she's so strong and she was just introduced to the player not too long before.

I didn't even know there was a choice in Yureyu.

Let's just say that Sapphira didn't fight back for a very good reason.

It must be Signmund=Laura/Charlotte/Shelly since I fought Sigmund and Laura got captured.

Oh, I see. Sigmund = Laura/Charlly and Sirius = Twins/Sapphira it is then.

  9. Is that also based on who you fight at Yureyu?

Yep. If I recall correctly, fighting Sigmund results into either the twins or Charlotte/Shelly getting kidnapped and fighting Sirius results in Laura or Sapphira getting kidnapped.

  10. Hey there! As you may have noticed by now, I'm Amanojaku, an youkai that deceives people and flips stuff upside-down, according to this certain danmaku game. Actually not, I'm a high school student that does not deceive or flip stuff and loves competitive gaming.

Other than Pokémon and Touhou, I like Madoka Magica, When They Cry, Dangan Ronpa and stuff that involves psychological horror, complex mysteries and/or nice music. I'm also an obsessive troper, so there's that. I got into Reborn for the difficulty and stayed for the story and... well, the difficulty.

Well, I think that's enough about me for now. Until next time, everyone!
