November 1 - Day Four [I promise I'll catch up with phase post stuff later today.] The Day of the Dead continues. Walpurgis was killed. She was Rafaela Roberts.

I know I've been super inactive thus far but I'll be active more next phase (hopefully) after I'm not so exhausted anymore from the last batch of school work.

October 31 - Night Three [Phase Post will be added later] The Day of the Dead continues. Yahen was lynched. He was Carlos Fernández.

October 31 - Day Three There were four deaths within the family already - Lorenzo Ecleo, Maximilliano Santiago, Cecilia Ecleo, and Felipe Santiago. Yet still the killer or killers remained elusive to the family, as if there were no traces left behind the two murders while the two lynches were still unclear as to whether these helped progressed the mission to stop the murders. For most of the members of the family, they asked themselves, "Who could be so cruel to perform these killings on family?" This thought surfaced in their mind as the next morning returned another death to the family. This time, however, it was a death from a member of the family who retained the Fernández family name. Rafael Fernández, grandson of Carlos Fernández, was found unconscious in the Great Fountain of the Fernández ancestral home. He was face down on the water and a quick check of his pulse revealed that he had passed on already. The cause of death was being drowned in the shallow waters; most likely, someone had pulled his head down on the water as he sat helpless until he could not breathe anymore. A note, similar to the first and second deaths, was found in his pocket. It said, "The favoritism you've given has hurt the family more than anything." Most of the family members took it to mean as the comparison between the Main Line family and the Branch families. Since the days of old, special treatment was given to the Main Line family members - they had the best materials, had the attention of their parents, and even had the best skills in the family to boot. Often times, the Branch family children would be neglected, simply because they weren't born first among their siblings. Maybe this was a sign that some, if not all, of the killers, were the deprived, the less fortunate, and the neglected of the family. But there wasn't much time to think about these implications for the Day of the Dead was to begin today. Fortunately, preparations before the murders had started were made and only a few things needed to be settled for this celebration. The Fernández family ancestral home looked different with its halls decorated with lanterns, spiritual charms, and scented candles. The same was seen in the other houses in the town, all of which looked eager to the start of the Day of the Dead Celebration. With the spirits of the Dead having a stronger presence than normal, what would this day and the succeeding days bring for everyone? The Day of the Dead Celebration has begun. Nano has been killed. He was Rafael Fernández. Andracass has received a totem.

October 30 - Night Two The Fernández family gathered immediately upon hearing that another of the family had been killed. Worse, it was another Ecleo, this time the mother of the late Lorenzo. Although the house maids had covered up the message left behind by the killer, “It was your fault, Carlos, that she had to die,” rumors about the aforementioned message still spread around the clan like wildfire and the members who heard of this gossiped about the meaning of the message. “Why do you think it was the Family Head’s fault?” One of them asked. “Maybe it was because she lost her position because she wasn’t a part of the Main Line Family. I heard she had a high-class ability, but at the time, Carlos couldn’t accept that such an ability was granted to someone of the Branch Family. Apparently she passed on her ability willingly to the next generation of the Main Line Family, but it’s possible Carlos actually coerced her to doing it.” Another well-informed Fernández answered. This was Rafaela Fernández. The discussion spread even further. Allegations of domestic violence among non-Main Line Family were shared, stories of brainwashing were given, and other accusations were made. Whether these things were or were not true, Carlos did not make any statement about it. The discussions stopped later on with Primo Fernández intervening. “Are we not going to try to find out who killed Cecilia?” he said. “I think it’s time we investigate further on the matter.” With this, one of the other Fernández said, “It must be one of the Santiagos. Maximilliano looked suspicious as heck yesterday.” “Wait, how are we even sure he was the killer or one of the killers?” Luciana Fernández, mother of Cecilia, asked. She looked distressed by the death of her daughter and her grandson, but she maintained composure even though she looked like she was falling apart. “His general demeanor was really suspicious. He was shifty, fidgeting, and everything else. I say the Santiagos did this, as revenge for the death of their son.” Manolo Fernández accused. The logic behind his words made sense to some, while others could not agree because this could have been the behaviour of anyone in the hot seat. However, the need for a scapegoat in the midst of uncertainty increased. As such, the people turned to Adriana and Felipe Santiago, who looked in disbelief at the matter. At first, they tried to explain themselves about being on a business trip before the death, but others pointed out that they could have lied about that. At some point, it was just impossible to quell the people’s accusations and Felipe decided to claim he was a killer for the safety of his wife. Whether this was a true or false claim, it was important for him to protect his wife because he loved her so much. But before he could say his “reasons,” a gunshot was fired and he was hit in the chest, and he crumpled immediately at its force. Alaris was lynched. He was Felipe Santiago.

October 30 – Day Two In the afternoon, Adriana Santiago, and her husband, Felipe Santiago had returned to the ancestral home from a business trip, which made their visit a bit delayed. As such, they had no idea about the events that had transpired earlier. Going to the place where one of the Fernández was stoned, her eyes widened when she saw the battered, injured body of Maximilliano, which was being prepared to be carried out by some of the other family members. “Felipe, Felipe,” she said. “Is that who I think it is?” “I-It’s our son, who was forced by your father to leave the house!” he answered as he approached the body. Adriana, with Felipe following her, ran to the body and held her lost son in her arms. She cried out in sorrow as this was the first time she had seen her son in 14 years and this would be the last time she would ever hold him in her arms. After a moment, her eyes were filled in rage as she realized that this was an intentional death. This became greater when her father, Carlos Fernández, made his way through the hall going to the main room. She took him by the cuffs of his shirt and shouted, “How could you let this happen to him?!” “We deemed him guilty of killing Lorenzo Ecleo. Besides, he intruded to this gathering even though he was already excommunicated by the family.” he answered calmly. “You did not have the right! My son did nothing wrong! All he did was want to help another man, who wanted to retrieve his wife’s dying wish from her grave, and you accused him of desecrating the dead. He never deserved to be excommunicated.” she raged, her husband embracing her. “How dare you –“ Carlos said before being interrupted by one of the house maids. “Sir, Madame Cecilia has been killed in the Rose Garden.” she panted. They rushed immediately to the scene, where Cecilia lay down in a bed of roses, with an apple on her hands. The apple was discovered to have been inserted with poison, and on it, was a paper stating, “It was your fault, Carlos, that she had to die.” LykosHand was killed. He was Cecilia Ecleo. Alaris has received a totem.

October 29 – Night One Lorenzo Ecleo’s death was a huge shock for everyone. Although he was a mischievous and inquisitive boy, who wouldn’t let anything stop him from finding out what he wants to know, he was also one of the kindest and most eager to learn from the youngest generation of the family. Cecilia Ecleo was on her knees weeping for the loss of her son. Her husband and daughter were with her, holding her In their arms, as they grieved together. Ignacio and Esmeralda, the cousins of the late Lorenzo, were also there, in disbelief that one of their few close cousins was now lying dead, with a gunshot to his head. They held each other’s hands as tears fell down on their small, young faces. On the other hand, some of the other family members looked afraid because of the message left behind by Lorenzo’s unknown killer while others looked angry and began taking matters into their own hands. Primo Fernández, one of the distant branch family members, took everyone’s attention with his loud, thundering voice. “There must have been a killer amongst us,” he said. “He wouldn’t have died on his own nor would it have been an outsider because the security would not let any intruders in.” “Are you accusing family to be the one responsible for killing Lorenzo?” an older Fernández asked. “This is preposterous! Who would dare think of harming their own family?” another Fernández added. Primo replied, “Of course. It is possible. This family isn’t all that close at all and I’m sure that a few of you can come up with reasons why someone is doing this. I say we find out the killer, or killers, as soon as possible.” Most of the gathered family members started pointing fingers at each other, saying that they had seen one of them last night walking around outside suspiciously while others said that another’s face was that of a killer’s. Primo Fernández observed the chaos they were having as he tried to weigh in and take in the situation at hand. In the end, the family members decided upon Maximilliano Santiago, who claimed that he was a “looter” of graves and could receive information from the dead. For some, they thought that this was merely nothing, but for the others, they accused him of either using this “job” to desecrate the sanctity of the death of Lorenzo or using it as an excuse to be out at night. “I-It wasn’t me! I did nothing wrong,” he said. But his voice could not be heard anymore with the rage of some members and the need to have someone to take the blame. He continued to utter those two sentences as they threw stones at him until he died. Castiel101 has been lynched. He was Maximilliano Santiago.

October 29 - Day One After the family banquet that had been organized late in the evening on the previous night, the guests had settled into their rooms comfortably, happy and jovial with the outcome of the gathering. They were exhausted, but it had been quite a while before they had the opportunity to gather as a clan. For most of the clan members, it had been sometime since they had communicated with each other for long periods of time. Deep into the night, a few members of the Fernández family exited their rooms as silently as possible and gathered in the Rose Garden situated just outside of the main room. They settled in one of the dark dead ends of the Rose Garden, only basked by the light of the moon up above. One of them started the conversation. "Who should we kill tonight?" they said. Another one, a younger one at that, replied. "Do we really have to kill members of the same family?" "Yes. The gathering earlier had shown us that this family is not concerned at all with dealing with the transgressions it had caused upon not just us, but also with the other members of the family." The third replied. "The dark ways of this family have long been unpunished and this should change." "Umm, alright then. I suppose we could do that." The younger one replied. "It just feels ethically wrong though." "Worry not, young one." The oldest among the three said, moving forward to the young one. "They shall be ushered into the Land of the Dead in peace and we shall correct the errors of the Fernández family." In the morning, most of the family were woken up by a scream from one of the farther rooms in the ancestral home. It was Cecilia Ecleo, standing at the front of her family's second room, her face pale and shocked. The other family members who had responded to the situation quickly realized the reason for her shock. Her son, Lorenzo Ecleo, was found with a gunshot to his head in the side of the room. The words, "This is not the last," were etched behind his back in blood. Crimson Dragon has been killed. He was Lorenzo Ecleo.

October 28 - Night Zero The ancestral home of the Fernández family was a particularly quiet and calm place to be in. Its halls and rooms were often uninhabited most of the year as the members of the family had been scattered in the pursuit of different interests. Among the family, only the Family Head and his wife stayed in the house to maintain its upkeep and tradition while the Main Line and Branch Family leaders only visited habitually in response to their obligations. At this odd time of the year, however, the ancestral home felt less empty than before as family members who had come from both near and far entered the home. The young children of the families were running around the narrow halls despite being warned by the housemaids to stop playing around because they might break the expensive antique vases and figurines decorated in the corridors and rooms. As more and more family members were gathered in the main room of the ancestral home, conversations began between some of the more acquainted family members. Mothers expressed genuine interest as they shared stories of their children while fathers and bachelors of the same age bracket compared their latest acquisitions and achievements. The ancestral home had not been filled with such a high level of energy, as only selected members of the family were required to assist in the preparation for the Day of the Dead in the past years. The Day of the Dead celebration was more special for this year, as it would be held in commemoration of the 1000th year since the establishment of the Fernández clan by Jose and Valeria Fernández. As such, all members of the family were invited and greatly encouraged to be present for the Day of the Dead. The jovial interactions were interrupted by the sound of the gong being hit by Carlos Fernández, the Family Head. Although he was 95 years old, his strength and youthful features made him appear younger. He began to speak. “As the Fernández Family Head, I thank all of you for travelling to our ancestral home for the Day of the Dead. It has been heartwarming and gratifying to see all of you here again. In celebration of this gathering, a banquet of food and drinks will be served, as well as, entertainment and music to last this night long first night of this reunion.” He took a wine glass from the table and raised it up to the air. “I hope you enjoy this night. Cheers!” Most of the members of the family enthusiastically raised their wine glasses. The night was just beginning.

Death Is Not The End Mafia A strange family with roots stretching far back to the days of old, the Fernández family has always had a penchant for connecting to the dead. Generation upon generation, members of the Fernández family have been recognized of having a stronger spiritual connection with those who have passed. They are no stranger to the voices that can be heard in the middle of the night nor the strange shadows appearing in abandoned hospitals and schools. With the coming of the Day of the Dead, the Fernández family have begun preparing for the annual celebration in honor of the dead, as well as, the channeling rites to give opportunities for people to connect with their loved ones. However, strange and malevolent forces have gathered to destroy the sanctity of the celebration. With the mysterious deaths of Fernández family members, they must be ready to stop these forces before it's too late, lest the Day of the Dead be ruined and their family legacy engulfed in flames.
