  1. DAY TWO

She used coercion and compulsion to such an extent that she imbued her children

with the spirit of the eighteenth-century Jacobin, exclaiming, “Be my brother, or I kill you!”.

The bell rang. The citizens gathered to the temple, as always. Today, there were more missing. A seat was even removed, as if the person to whom it once belonged was never part of our church. It is not a lively sermon, but one can feel the tension in the air. The atmosphere is so thick I could cut it with a knife. Of course, the ones who vanish are no loners. They have families, children, friends. They will not be so easily forgotten, even though the propaganda wishes to turn everyone against them. "Sinners", would the clergy exclaim, and swiftly pass their own judgement. Once sheep, these people are showing teeth. It will not be long till they realize the power they have. Until then, their emotions will be kept at bay.

As the priest finished his preach about how His word is truth, and was over with his favorite passages from Leviticus and Deuteronomy, he moved on to read the names of the fallen, albeit sinners. With great sorrow, he mentions the "disappearance" of Candy, the sweet descendant of the royal family. Never hid his preference for monarchy, but this time the pastor's words gave away a feeling of personal loss. Naturally, Candy was a problem child ever since she was still wearing diapers. She would leave toys in strategic places and catch her victims off guard. When she was 12, she caught her first bunny, using nothing but rope and a few leaves. "Mr. Snuffles" is certainly going to miss her.

Speaking of problem children, it is unfortunate that we also lost Newt, amongst the ruckus. Close companion to Candy, yet not a favorite of the priest. He didn't even bother to make up a proper speech to bid Newt farewell. It seems he still holds a grudge (the hypocrite), ever since Newt found him drunk on all the Holy Communion. The excuse that "it was leftovers and it's a sin if it's left unconsumed" didn't exactly convince Newt, who held the priest accountable for his pathos in front of his superiors; the cardinal and the nuncio.

I know I'm going to miss him, I was hoping we could have more fun before he... left us.

Another type of sinner was the 3rd victim in today's list. Yes, I am calling them victims, because that's what they are. It does not help anyone to sugarcoat the truth. There is no way we're going to fight back their barbaric methods if we're afraid of accepting the truth. People are going missing, and we all know who are responsible. Why hide it? Why did Drago have to suffer the same fate? Did he ever hurt anyone? All he did was make friends. Maybe he talked a bit too much, maybe his socializing was taking up so much time he never really slept, but that's no reason to dub him a sinner, nor is it to be executed... or worse. Drago was a friend, yet they act almost as if he deserved it.

And finally, we have Jace. The man of God. The trusted personal secretary of the Pope. The person behind so much scheming, so many plots, it's despicable in how nice words the pastor frames his contribution to society, to peace, to God. Jace was the master of secrets. He knew how to keep you quiet, and with a little help of his associates, had you not played his game, you would remain quiet for a very long time, possibly forever. Nevertheless, they describe him as a holy man, full of virtue. Ask the dead what his true colours are.

  2. DAY ONE - OVER

Aim for the stars. Calculate your trajectory, buy the materials, learn how to construct the machinery, find the funds for the whole endeavor, be educated as to how to operate the system as soon as it's completed. All that, so you can fulfil a dream whose final destination was unplanned and never before reached.

So you aim for the stars. Which star you go for is insignificant, because your journey matters more than the destination. You wish to know the feeling one gets when they reach close to their ultimate goal; what thoughts go through their head when they see the accomplishment be achieved, especially a huge one?

Do they feel joy this overbearing they cannot hold it in? Or do they feel empty, having nothing else to strive for, no more goals to set?

Anti-Loser wanted to achieve his dreams, and travel though the twilight. He got lucky with the materials, the powers, the means to the end.

He just didn't think everything through while applying the plan into reality. On paper, he was thin. On the earth, he stood steady. In the air, he could fly, and all your hiding places also belonged to him. Yet your hearts belonged elsewhere, and Anti was not allowed to fly. Anti wanted to go to a special star; our star, the Sun. He wanted to feel the warmth, step aside and avoid the huge flashes of light and heat, which were in a steady elegant dance around a field so... magnetic.

As he was being dragged through the city square, and tied to the poles, he kept looking at the sky. His gaze stuck on the sun, almost as if he was praising it.

He had felt this before, but now it's different. Now he knows there are no more tricks. He is not escaping his fate, but seems as if he's not running away from it either. He was going to fly, leave this terrestrial plane and ascend to heights the earthly bounds wouldn't allow. Amidst the wood and ropes, Anti smiles.

The first embers started to eat the wood below Anti's feet, but he paid no mind. The smoke entered his nostrils and shortened his breath, but the man stood still. The warm tongues of fire were twisting around his legs, slowly reaching up his torso, eventually engulfing him whole. The warm hug, denied since his childhood, has reached Anti's face. Anti's kept looking at the sun, and in his final moments, while his head was heavy and his body failing, he finally found out that the sun was with him all along, and so he embraced it.

It is currently Night 1. You have 24 hours to send in any Night Actions. Sleep well, and remember to pray before going to bed. Pray It doesn't find you.

Well i might have misinterpret what Nick told me, but it's better for the host to clarify it for us i guess.

yay... 4000th post, I was saving it for the phase change or w/e special... hooray...                                                                                                               fuck you kiet

No, you can't visit if you don't have a Night Action.

If you have a Night Action, you can visit during the night and use it.

In case you visit the Runerigus, you will lose your ability for 2 nights, but you can still visit.

If you never had a night action, you cannot go around visiting people.

The shopkeeper holds the items and each time gives 1/5 to the visitors.

That does not mean they have infinite number of each item and each visitor has a 20% chance of getting each.

It means they have 5 items, and they will give them away.

  4. DAY ONE

Intolerance never fails to express itself in persecution.

The pope was happy with the news. The distance did not hinder their speed, and the word of God was spread in an instant, once again. An every-day miracle, so to speak.

"As people believe in our power, our might will make right. Our choices will be judged only by Him. As he is omnipotent and omnipresent, He can be just. He can be fair.

He has allowed us to purge this land of infidels, and show the people His way", said the Cardinal from his seat, 3 meters above the publicum. He cares little for all of them,

but he cares deeply for maintaining his position, his wealth, and his power. His hand reaches far, and it's only up to the masses to dictate for how long this will continue.

As we enter the morning sermon, we notice 2 people missing. Their seats empty, but the priest goes on.

The prayers have ended, and the people exited. The priest moved to the east, with a company of 8 men, in order to carry the coffins.

The first one to be buried was Nicki. She was beloved among the citizens of our small community. We all ran to her care, whenever something important or trivial happened.

And care she did! She made the remedies herself, catering to our very specific needs. Arch used to be a leper, but Nicki healed him. Aldo's foot was in terrible pain after years of alcohol and meat consumption, yet Nicki didn't shun his lavish lifestyle, and provided the treatment. She even cured Newt's headaches, by a method akin to lobotomy.

We found her at home, father Pedro said, with her guts protruding through her abdomen, both arms missing.

    She will truly be missed.

The second coffin was Aldo's. He was a good lad, albeit a little curious. He always wanted to know who met with whom, who did what. However, proper journalism is not yet invented, I'm afraid. Aldo is merely considered a hoax hunter. They didn't specify what happend to him. The creepy pastor only mentioned how he might as well be Indian. That racist fuck never got along with Aldo, but to joke at a time like this is unacceptable. He also mentioned there was a note beside his body. "Recquisat in pace", it read.

I do hope his afterlife is more serene than his earthly one.

Day 1 is upon us. You have 50 hours to discuss and vote to lynch someone. May god bless you all.

  5. Come child. Tell me your sins.

You might wish to learn a few things about how the world operates, and how you should behave, if you wish to be part of His legacy.

The kingdom of Heavens is open to all, as long as we accept Him in our hearts, and abide by His will. You have sinned, my child.

Love is the foundation of our church, but a variety of actions cannot be tolerated. You understand why I have summoned you here.

Lest you wish to be led to the Purgatory, lest you wish to force His hand, you will inform me of the wrongs you and your family have done.

Confess your sins, child, and the Lord will forgive you.

You must have heard the stories of witches and ghouls, people dragged from their houses and thrown into cold dungeons below the surface, left to endure the cold and hunger till they admit their sins. You probably have heard of tortures to extract confessions, or worse, public trials, in which the crowd forces the punishment, out of fear that God will smite them all, because of their sinful behavior; their inclination to deviate from the path He has drawn for them. Some of those stories were true, others exaggerated, a few were parts of a zealot's imagination, figments of an ideal world in which all difference is subjugated to needless violence, as long as there's no speck of "unholiness" around them.

This story, however, is going to become truth.

We will return to the Dark Ages, and tip them over on their heads. This time, the many will be the ones with the power, while the few, the inquisitory group, will be the ones striving for dominance.

I am happy to host the "Spanish Inquisition", a name so heavily linked to black spots in human history, because this format allows me to symbolically take a different stance.

Consider the background, the pitch black pages of humanity, on which we'll rewrite with white ink. Digital ink. Peculiar, playful, perfect for what a mafia community enjoys.

So what do you say? Will you join me, as we make our white spot on a black surface?

    What is Mafia

Mafia is a social deduction game which requires analyzing, cooperation, and looking through lies. There are two main factions in a mafia game: the Uninformed Majority who have to find others of their kind while hunting for the mafia, the Informed Minority who have a private chat and plan there on how they should trick the town and whom they should kill.

At the beginning of the game, players receive a PM or a DM with their role and alignment.

There are two major phases in a Mafia game:

    (1) The Day Phase – Typically lasts 48 hours
Players use this opportunity to discuss about several things, which may include the outcome of the previous phases, behavior of players, and flow of the game; the ultimate goal in the day phase is for the Town players to find the Evils slowly while Evils have to blend in carefully. Before the day ends, players must vote for a player whom they want to be eliminated on grounds of suspicion and the player receiving the most votes will be eliminated.

    (2) The Night Phase – Typically lasts 24 hours
The thread is considered “locked” at this point and players may not comment at all. Instead, players with night actions, special abilities related to their role, may use these to aid their faction. The Mafia also discusses in the private chat on whom to dispose of.

The game continues until win-cons have been met.

    1. Town has eliminated all mafia
    2. Mafia have ensured Town cannot win

    Rules and Important Info

    01. Everyone must post twice per day, and submit an elimination vote.
    02. Failure to do so results in a warning. Failure to do so twice, results in immediate modkill.
    03. If you have a Night Action, you can decide to abstain. Failure to submit a NA will be received as an abstain.
    04. The most voted person is lynched. In case of a tie, RNG will decide who is lynched.
    05. Upon death, role and alignment are revealed.

  7. You are making a big deal out of the Bean kill.

Try to get into Kiet's, and Newt's mind.

Bean had caused Kiet's early death in the last 2 games, and Kiet was looking for some personal revenge. Besides, he doesn't care about appearing like a gamethrower.

The question is, why would Nano enable him.

Nano's role makes sense. Newt knows Nano enjoys firing guns, so he's punishing him by making him incapable of doing so.

With the high backfire rate (which is the only thing I doubt a bit), he's indirectly responsible for people's demise, given they take a big risk.

There's a lot of metagaming going on, but I'm working with what I have.

    As for the 3,4,5th parties.

We all suspect there is a cult, because it's Newt hosting the game. Therefore we should try to think like him and find out potential Cult Leaders.

Looking at the player list, I can only give 3 people chances of leading a cult (without that excluding the others, of course)

    1. Kiet

He does have a fixation with the "Asian Alliance", so I wouldn't put it past Newt to turn this into a cult.

Then again, it's a bit suspicious how fast he was voted up as Mayor. I'd like to see him claim a role.

Given Bean has been an Amnesiac-role, the chances for Kiet being a Jester or part of a mafia faction (so that he's not N0'd) have risen.

    2. Amber

He's notorious for having been a cult leader in 3(?) games so far.

When he hosted "Wonderland Mafia" he included quite a powerful cult in it. Naturally that mustn't have missed Newt's gaze.

    3. Bazaro

He's there because he has hosted "Cult Wars".

Because of his performance in Dive's big game as "The Root Network" I think he has more or less an investigative role.

Had he been a treestump again, he would have turned N1.

The alignment isn't shown and the tides can turn very fast in favor of maf, if town doesn't get organized.

The usual method of Maf+TP having around 1/3 - 1/4 of the positions in the player list, works for open setups and games where reveals actually mean something.

There, I'd expect 4 organized mafs + 1 (either not in the chat or mastermind)

In this game, town has a big handicap. Therefore, Quinn wouldn't let Newt get away with such a setup.

    Sidenote

Remember that the game has to be approved upon submission. Hence, the roles he'd use were already submitted with a few ideas in mind.
So don't be too weary that your role might not fit you perfectly. You're working with what Newt could be allowed to provide, in order not to mess it all up.

Based on the number of players and the promise of multiple TPs, I'd wager the "organized informed minority" faction [aka mafia] is 3 people maximum.

That leaves room for 2-3 more TPs, bringing the total number of evils to 5-6.

If we are to believe there's actually a 5th party (and it's not just Newt messing with us), it's going to be 3-1-1-1 imo.

1 is definitely hostile, 1 is going to have it's own wincon, 1 is evil/could be cult

  8. 12 minutes ago, Falirion said:

amine, why? why would you reveal that? there is no lynch today

I'd hate to seem like tunneling (since I already voted Amine), but that claim smells scummy.

I see no incentive in a towny actually doing this so early, with the option to abstain.

@Hanyū in my eyes, claims about custom roles in a game that doesn't show alignment upon death, are pointless.

You either not claim at all, or you go all the way. Please describe exactly what your role does.

Btw, by the nature of the game, I really doubt there's a coyote.

  9. The only way to tell if a dead person belonged to the mafia faction is to be convinced that their behavior was "mafia-like". I'm not exactly happy with that.

I hope that Newt has given a handful of investigative roles to mitigate this problem. Otherwise it's going to be quite lopsided.

    That said

This is adressed to the mafia faction. Yeah, you. Don't worry, town can't open spoiler tags.
If you still want to kill Kiet for the memes, N1 and such, I'm willing to pay you. How about 10$? Sounds enough?

ok ok you bargain quite tough. I'll make it 20$.
All I need from you, to deposit the money using an ATM machine, is a photo of your credit card.

Don't forget the backside. I can't give you money otherwise.
You'll be paid as soon as I see that Kiet's dead. Glad to be doing business with you.

  10. Punkt1

Only the one who doesn't wish to become mayor is worthy of taking the position.

since I don't see anyone voting for me

    [Elect] Lía

    Punkt2

Only cthulhu knows what sick role Newt chose to bestow upon the most cursed being in the multiverse...

    [Eliminate] Amine

  11. You know, I have an irrational fear of teleporters.

Matter is neither created, nor destroyed. It can only be tranformed into energy, possibly reassembled elsewhere, if the technology or quantum entanglement allows it.

That said, the very moment I step into the teleporter, I get dismembered, my molecules drawn apart to the point my quarks are reduced to information travelling in the

form of waves to the other side of the teleporter.

For you, nothing changes. The person appearing on the other side will have my exact genetic information, the same molecule order, the exact same synapses in their brain.

They will have memories of everything they had lived so far, their hopes, dreams, sins and virtues. All mine, all theirs.

From a third-person's perspective there is no difference. A Nick came in, a Nick came out, albeit with a small delay.

We've got what we wanted. The new Nick is exactly where he was supposed to be. Nothing's missing.

However, the Nick writing this message will be missing. The being that entered the teleporter will be dead.

Nobody would care, nobody would notice.

    And that terrifies me.

    I'm in btw

JAs for ALs point after thinking about it, i don't think we can. like even if we did a massclaim (which is a boring way to play anyway) before the janitor does it's thing, the mafia could in the worst case for them claim vanilla, and we'd end up with 9 vanilla claims, the vigi would kill itself on one of those eventually, and the mafia would know all our power roles... i don't think it would work out that well.

If I had a power role, I would definitely claim Vanilla Townie.

We might end up with a lot more similar claims that you'd think.

After the first few nights, it depends on how the game has played out.

If, for example, the Sniper has already shot, they can claim a power role and force a polarization of the votes, if the townie reveals themselves for the counterclaim.

If not, then they might get away with it, as town has no night chats with each other, and town usually doesn't lynch power uncontested claims unless the person on the podium is acting really scummy.

Janitor works once in the game, so a good time to use their magic would be around N3.

That's dependant on how mafia does, and how suspected the janitor is, so they wouldn't waste their ability.

It's also depending on how the mafia has read town. They might be baiting the veteran etc.

The fact we have 5 vanilla simply shows how ineffective Janitor can be, as I suppose they themselves don't know the alignment of the player they wipe clean.

As for the actress, I suppose a few roles will not work.

    Boomer is obvious why.

Witch and Vigilante are dependant on the circumstances.

Given we have a lot of vanilla, but no "looker" or 2nd investigative role, the actress works as a reverse janitor.

It might become important in situation where a misslynch could cost us the game.

    Last, about the Fabricator.

Since the guns can go to the wrong hands, and the only people who know for a fact that they have received a functional one are mafia, I would advise against giving them.

That, naturally, turns the "Uncommon Infected" into a Vanilla with future prospects, but eliminates a lot of complications in the game.

At least, until we dispose of the Fabricator themselves.

Alternatively, I can depend on Town deciding not to use the guns, but that's less systematic an approach and prone to loopholes.

A mafia could simply decide to ignore me, or even try to discredit this proposal in the thread, saying I'm talking rubbish or w/e.

A townie might be too trigger-happy. points at... nothing because he can smell the gunpowder
