So it's going to be fast-paced backstories changed a bit to serve a POV way to tell the story. Interesting.
-
In Black 2 and White 2, N said his parents abandoned him deep in the woods, where he was raised by pokemon. Then Ghetsis showed up one day, claimed to be his father and took him in.
So, yeah, his parents were most likely horrible people, just like Ghetsis.
This could be a story told by Ghetsis to project the image of the benevolent father who takes an abused child under his protection. Apart from what Mael said, N has Peter-Pan syndrome, and thus is naive and straightforward in the way he leads his life. This explains the ways he treats pokemon and people, as well as the state of his room, which I believe is accessible in BW2.

I really like this one. Even if you decide to nerf it a bit (since Rain boosts Water moves anyway) and decrease the SpA to 130 for 60Atk, it's still going to hit like a truck, have Giga Drain for recovery and support a lot of teammates with rain such as Ferrothorn, Kabutops, Tornadus-T, Klefki (to deal with Toxicroak) and even Hurricane Volcarona.
We really need a mega with Drizzle, and I will be disappointed if Gen7 does not provide us one.

Don't turn this topic into a joke. Make sure you think about competitive battling before you design a mega, think of possible sets it could get based on what abilities, typing and extra stats you give it, and provide calcs. More work provides more realistic results and definitely helps think the creation twice over. Look at what was proposed for M-Poliwrath and M-Froslass before and you'll understand.
Also, try to provide images or gifs for those posts. It makes them much easier to read and evaluate.
Having said that, here's Mega Mandibuzz

Type: Dark / Flying
Ability: Touch Claws
HP: 110
Atk: 65 --> 105 (+40)
Def: 105 --> 135 (+30)
SpA: 55 --> 55 (+0)
SpD: 95 --> 115 (+20)
Spe: 80 --> 90 (+10)
BST: 510 --> 610
The new M-Mandibuzz can work both with an offensive and a defensive set. It depends on what the player wants to do. With its new ability it has lost its sand and spore immunity, but has gained some offensive pressure against more defensively oriented teams. The buffs in Def and SpD make up for the loss of lefties/rocky helmet, and Roost is always an option to use.
Mandibuzz has a nice movepool with support moves, so if you don't want to risk using it as an offensive wallbreaker, you might as well keep its role and have it serve as a wall for so many pokemon. At the same time it can put a timer on opposing walls and tanks with Toxic, Foul Play and constant heal from Roost, like the normal set (which also has defog). Its typing helps defeat major threats, even if it leaves it open to the common Ice and Rock moves. Electric and Fairy are usually STAB, so you'll know to switch out. Even so, depending on your spread you might be able to tank a hit or two.
Here are some calcs for your information:

Mega Poliwrath
Type: Water/Fighting
Ability: Water Absorb
HP: 90
Atk: 95 --> 130 (+35)
Def: 95 --> 120 (+25)
SpA: 70 --> 70 (+0)
SpD: 90 --> 110 (+20)
Spe: 70 --> 90 (+20)
It's high time Poliwrath returned to the competitive scene. This strong fellow from Gen1, whom everyone forgets in favor for his derpier brother Politoed, came back with a mega evolution that's going to shake the waters and destroy your stall teams. Pretty balanced between offense and defense like the normal form, but versatile enough to find itself in many different teams. With a key immunity to Water, it guarantees that the opponent will not spam Scald that easily, and with a nice 90/120/110 bulk, it can take some hits and strike back with powerful STAB and coverage moves, as Poliwrath's movepool is quite diverse. In this take, I gave the remaining points to speed, so I make it certain to outspeed both Breloom and Bisharp, things that could bet on the speed tie to kill Poliwrath.

With a quick glance I'd say that smogon's article is more stupid than this thread! Psychic/Fairy Butterfree? How, it completely changes BOTH its typings? Shadow Tag M-Lunatone and M-Chandelure? We all know how much Smogon community hates Shadow Tag, why they try to give it to more mons? And don't even let me start with some stats changes I saw, like those on Espeon...
Ironically I just came to post the exact same thing. Even they went overboard, in some cases way too much.
I found out this article was made from one member and it's not overseen by the council unlike those that make it to the Smog Magazine.
The idea of Eeveelutions having megas is dumb either way
You know, I'd try that Stoutland if you gave 10 from speed into special attack and make it more balanced.
-
Let's hope they don't go for broken megas, unlike here.
-
To be fair, regular Zam got a +10 that generation so they thought instead of giving it a useless +10 to Atk,they could give it +90 and finish there.
-
Reviving this thread to make the Fan Club great again!!!
Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you..... *drums in the background*
Mega Granbull
Type: Fairy
Ability: Rattled
HP: 90
Atk: 120 --> 150 (+30)
Def: 75 --> 107 (+32)
SpA: 60 --> 60 (+0)
SpD: 60 --> 88 (+28)
Spe: 45 --> 55 (+10)
This chap represents a royal beatdown to the foes that dare enter its path, especially when they decide to use a move its typing resists. With an Intimidate in its base form and acceptable defenses, it can function as an early game physical tank, which can mega evolve and seize any opportunity against U-turn and Knock off to increase its speed, while taking little to no damage from those attacks. It's a creation meant to punish the meta for spamming such moves, and retaliate with a huge 150 Atk stat and powerful moves in its arsenal like Play Rough, Close Combat, Crunch, the elemental Punches and Fangs, Stone Miss, Earthquake and more devastating moves. If you like you can keep a support set, as moves like T-wave and Heal Bell are always welcome. Mega Granbull fits in balanced and offensive teams, and is a nice option if you need a strong physical mega that can take a punch or two, and stop the spam of common moves your team may have problems with. It can appreciate wish support as well us teammates that can stop scald spam. Other than that, go out there, use it and wreck shit up!

Mega Slurpuff
Type: Fairy / Fighting
Ability: Filter
HP: 82
Atk: 80 --> 110 (+30)Def: 86 --> 91 (+5)
SpA: 85 --> 120 (+35)
SpD: 75 --> 85 (+10)
Spe: 72 --> 92 (+20)
Today's mega is the epitome of anti-racism. Mega Slurpuff is a Fairy/Fighting cotton candy that does not care if you're black, white, yellow, purple or all of them together. It will still kick your ass. Our little resident fairy has received buffs in both Atk and SpA, which it can utilize even with its rather shallow movepool. The ability of choice is Filter, which powers down the super effective hits, and provides extra turns of survival which may judge the outcome of the match. A little bulk here and there to fare well against serious wallbreakers, and some speed since it has lost the niche in Unburden. M-Slurpuff appears innocent at first glance, but give it some time, and you'll have yet another reason to love cotton candy.

Since nobody is holding back in this thread, I might as well follow.
Mega Skarmory
Type: Steel / Flying
Ability: Rock Head
HP: 65
Atk: 80 --> 115 (+35)
Def: 140 --> 165 (+25)
SpA: 40 --> 55 (+15)
SpD: 70 --> 85 (+15)
Spe: 70 --> 80 (+10)Here it is, the Mega Bird you've all been waiting for! M-Skarmory enters the realms of men and pokemon to satiate its enormous hunger. It feeds upon the flesh of the innocent, and cares little about recoil, as its physical characteristics allow it to sustain no damage. Increased defenses so it can laugh louder when you try to damage it, and a slight boost in speed just to mock slower pokemon and their inability to stop him. Skarmory may reprise his role as a hazard lead, or a defensive tank able to take and dish damage back, all while abusing roost to the maximum. Angry Birds representative? Check.

"How'd you get this far with just that?"
It would be hilarious to see a trainer in Victory Road with only 1 or 2 pokemon who says "Nuzlocke challenges are hard" before you fight him and "End of Run" when you defeat him. Sure, you'll feel a little bit responsible and perhaps guilty, but it's a nice easter egg.
I guess 3 or 4 would seem somewhat legit in Unova and Kalos since the Gym Leaders there only go up to 3 Pokemon? But the new "3 Pokemon limit for Gym Leaders" is kind of dumb too, so.
Didn't play either game, but this is plain stupid. Even Koga in Gen1 had 4 pokemon!
-
I would change the type match up of fairy, making it weak to Dragon. That way they are weak to one another, which I think is a bit more balanced than Fairy being completely immune.
My next change would have to be making the bad guys more competent so the fact that we beat them to feel a bit more satisfying. Also bump up the AI on all gym leaders and boost the difficulties. Gym leaders are meant to be a challenge. In addition to that, give us a hard mode for the games. A lot of players are more experienced and can handle the higher challenge.
Last change would be adding a held item that cuts the damage of 4x weakness in half. This is biased for all my favorite dragons getting one-shot by an ice beam.
Fairy type was introduced to nerf the Dragons, not further overpower them. The immunity is fine. You just have to cut down on your dragon spam, and that's what Fairy does. It's the same with Psychic from Gen1 to Gen2, with the introduction of Dark, and nerfing Ghost along the way since Normal was not viable competitively.
Petal Dance spam: perfectly ok. A lot of types resist Grass
Thrash spam: perfectly ok. Even if Rock is scarce, Steel and Ghost stop this
Outrage spam: Definitely NOT ok without Fairies. Steel types can only do so much, every second dragon gets it, almost any dragon has high stats.

Had each episode been 10 minutes, they would have enough time to develop the story and present some nice battles. The first 2 are some of the pilot episodes they'll make, which will be short, sweet, and give us what we already know. Hence, I believe that after the first 5-6 they'll make longer and more detailed episodes.
