Pokémon Academy: Ch 2a: Dragons [IC]
TurboAura replied to Chim's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
After finally settling down on a 'model,' which was chosen mostly by Kiai for being the one who came up with it in the first place, he had a happy grin and they nodded to eachother. While it wasn't the most inspiring thing, it fit the idea of the cave painting's and was simple enough to copy that he wouldn't have to worry about the goo messing up through dripping with such simplistic beauty. He got up, while locking it on Claydol, and went to look at his canvas. Looking at the rock wall infront of him, he realized that he was actually by one of the mentioned caves. "Hmm... well, it would give it a good hint of 'realism.' It is pretty simplistic on it's own. But..." His mind started to ponder whether going inside the cave would be a good idea or not. On the negative side, it's a cave that could likely be full of territorial pokemon. On the other hand even if they were any more territorial that what would be in the general Forest, being right inside or outside the cave wouldn't be any different. Eventually, he gave in to going in the cave, going about 20 feet into the cave. Of course, he had Kiai be lookout, as well as Voltage looking towards the entrance, while he pet the Goomy for the goo supply that'd be using. Careful to not make much noice, he began work on the 'goo-art,' unaware of anything else going on, even if it would be the signal from Kiai that something was coming. (Ready for the 'event') -
@Spiderdan: Understood. I am sorry it took your attention to settle this. Should we come back to you first the second something starts? @Chim: While I can understand how you feel, I fully believe that you should not be burdened with all the punishment. I am willing to admit my snapping point, and will take whatever comes from something like that. I just hope that this is the end. Along with that, take however long you think you'll need, we'd probably all be fine, though sad, if it came to the point to take a short Haitus after Ch. 2 till you were fine.
-
Exactly. Also, @Chim, whenever your done dealing with the situation in this thread, go ahead and bring on whatever the event is whenever you want, or just say if you want Robert to do the little 'cave painting' session before the Noibat comes out.@Antares: While I CAN understand SOME attempt at sympathy, the others have pointed out the problems with it. Whether or not the situation could get better, it seems like you've already done to much for the others to accept anything like this. Just wish this could've ended on any better terms.

Pokémon Academy: Ch 2a: Dragons [IC]

After hearing the little speech about the area, Robert grabbed a camera and headed out into the surroundings. About 20 feet away from the starting area, Robert had released all of his pokemon to see if they would be able to find a view that he would otherwise miss. Of course, being that this was the Goomy's first time seeing Voltage, she decided to give it the first 'surprise' hug, much to the Elekid's dismay. In response, Voltage let of a Shock Wave in retaliation to the pride-hurting goo hug, not being very effective on the Dragon-type but getting the point across. After the little 'introduction,' they started walking around for about 20 minutes, by which point they were close by the caves that had been talked about by Rebecca, and the Goomy was getting bored and decided to look for some attention. While Kiai was too focused on the search, as well as already remembering what had happened shortly before, she went straight to Robert's pant leg and did it's best to get some attention, enticing him to look down to her. "Oh, did you find something Goomy?" After a bit if time waiting for a response, it was pretty clear that it just wanted some attention, promoting a sigh from the other two. "Oh well, I guess that's fine. Just try and stay focused, okay?" To that, the Goomy's started into a frown and shook it's head yes. Having that done with, the prying Goomy off the pant leg, he turned his focus to what was left. Trying to get as much of the fresh goo as he could out before he had a second pair of obvious goo-stained pants, he unintentionally started wiping it on the rocky walls that were along the caverns. Still looking around to find something good for the picture, Kiai spotted what had been left in the attempt of cleaning himself, which had actually been a decently-coated imprint of the hand. Having been alerted by the Riolu cries, he turned around to see Kiai pointing towards the wall. "Uh, what are you trying to show me?... Oh, yeah the goo didn't come off so easily? So what?" Having heard his master's obliviousness to what it was referring to, Kiai simply rubbed his hands on the Goomy's sides and went to leaving trails of goo where it was moving and made a little goo stick-figure. Suddenly, it finally struck him what was going on. "Wait, that looks... familiar? Oh yeah, from that field-trip we went to in Granite Cave." Through that little memory of the trip there, he started to remember that there were certain areas, moreso hidden away, that had different, less important things compared to the 'main one' with the legendary Weather Pokemon. With that, it finally struck him. "Wait... Cave paintings? Is that it?" With a happy nod from the Riolu, he knew he got it right. He wasn't exactly sure that this would work as well, but decided to trust the idea. "Okay then. Guess your going to get a lot of attention with this Goomy. Now, what to use..." After that statement, Robert took out his Pokedex to try and find something fitting. All the while, the Goomy was extremely happy that not only was she going to get a lot of attention and rubs through this, but that her 'goo hug' was actually helping out in this kind of situation. -
Wish it was that easy Tacos. Not like the last times 'calmed down' the chat that long. And I'm not sure if that was Actually Antares's "last straw." Time will tell.

Very good 'counter idea. Also, I guess three trainers having Lucarios is all fine. What I really want to know is whether I should keep a planned Froakie catch, or just leave Slade's the lone Froakie and get either a Palpitoad/Seismitoad or Buizel/Floatzel. I mean, I know 'species clause doesn't exist,' but I COULD be more original with it. Either way, it wouldn't be for awhile.@KingMurdoc: Hah, Physics. Of course, your absolutely right. Prime Example: The Ice moves SE on Water types is Freeze Dry.
-
@Antares: Just don't think to OP. For example, the combo I'm using for Voltage (Robert's Elekid), 'Shining Stars,' has it charge a Swift attack with electrical power like Shock Wave. While it gains some power, it also takes 'just a bit more' than twice the charge time. So 1) Every positive can lead to a negative. 2) Don't expect chaining moves to be perfect, the other person should have some way to not be destroyed. @Panda: That truly is a 'Heavy Sleeper.' By the way, are you doing well with the 'character bio'?

Hearing the conversation that the others were busy with, it was made pretty obvious that only Ryan could fix this whether others wanted to help or not, and Robert had just shifted to his thoughts. 'Well, guess that's how it is. Should I atleast try to help mediate it, just for the sake of not making it worse?' Finally with something to add to the conversation, Robert turned his attention to Sissy's later comment. "Well, even if I was angry about that, if not just shocked, I guess she had okay reasoning. I mean, with what she was dealing with, I don't think there's any reason for me to worry about that bit." He was fully okay with what had happened earlier, ready to brush it away as soon as he found out what had happened. -
Geez, is Slade becoming the new 'it' kid now? Whatever, no matter what, TX-101 'power' will be manageable if Slade hears that it may be 'over-limiting' itself to do whatever it can to please him.
-
You guys are forgetting that, atleast for now, TX-101 has only had it easy with 'special' attacks. Just wait until Kiai hits it with it's 'Quick Attack + Force Palm' combo right through the 'magnetic field' and we'll just see who'll win.Though for the 'sky' part, look out for Robert's Noibat. It'll be a speed demon. @Tacos: Woah, time travel? That sounds amazing. So many paths that this could split off into, and I'm liking so many of them.
-
Ah, it's no like you can help it. Just post whenever you can, even if it's just a 'Ryan was silent from the thoughts racing through his head on how to best the situation' thing like that.
-
Well it's not like there are only twenty(5 mentioned X 4 groups) 1st years at the academy, it's just that thing of anime logic where only the 'main characters' are seen until necessary.Edit: Ninja'd by Chim, but the idea stands.
-
Likely about a little bit after the trip ends. Like stated before, this is majorly affected by how the people move the story, no solid dates.Chim, how about this: You said you wanted that Contest woman, Madame *Can't Remember* to appear before the Winter Tournament, saying before that it would happen at the tail end of Ch. 2. What if, just to help these people with the hype dealing, you reason that the 'exchange program' happened around the same time. This is purely so people don't die from hype, while fitting with all you want to put in full. Ignore this if you have any problem with it.

Your not necessarily the 'bad guy,' but whether you meant to or not Ryan put the girl in tears. Robert doesn't see you as such either and the situation just as a bad misunderstanding, but Sissy seems to sympathize with the girl.
-
Just after Ryan flew away, which is why he's asking Sissy if she has any ideas before they just head back. So I guess, if she'd be walking away, it's be then.

Before Robert could react, Ryan had already taken off using the Flygon. "Well we atleast know what happened, but I guess he doesn't think he should try apologizing however many other times. Anything you can come up to do with this? I mean, I admittedly don't have a clue on how to settle this kind of situation." Robert fully hoped that Sissy would be able to come up with SOME way to help the other girl. In a normal situation, he'd probably just let the girl deal with the situation their way, but this was a Dragon-filled forest that they had just came to today, and he didn't want someone to get sad and lost just because he didn't have a plan. -
So far, no. His willingness to follow whatever plan Sissy could come up with is because he would have little to no idea on how to fix this kind of situation, and can trust other's ideas. Additionally, there is a similar reasoning as to what Ryan said to Pheobe, in how she may be able to know a better way to help Sofia, since. 'She's a girl too.' The same could be said to Sissy, but probably wouldn't because Robert has enough brains not to support a 'gender stereotype.'Of course, that kind of 'possibility' is still open to the future, as he's not as much 'dense' as he is 'not actually looking for love (he'd be good with it, but he'd be fine being single.)'
-
Eheh, let's just stick to cheering her up instead of a brief laugh that she'll just go back to sadness right after. But he WILL listen to whatever Sissy feels is actually a plan to cheer Sofia up, whether the actual plan is humiliating or not.
-
@Tses: Was that "Gooey-mud form" thing an actual idea to cheer her up, or was it just a joke. Either way, if he thinks your serious about it, he'd atleast be willing to try it no matter how unlikely he'll think it'll work.

From Ryan's explanation of everything, the situation had fully made sense to Robert, atleast what has already happened. "Well, if she's feeling rejected from that, it doesn't really seem like there's a 'right' way to handle this. Should someone else try to cheer her up?" While Robert wasn't really knowledgable about love, he knew that anyone truly feeling hurt wouldn't as 'accepting' towards who they were hurt by, atleast until after the initial problem. -

Having finally gotten where Miss had been leading them, they had found Ryan instead of the girl they were looking for in the first place. 'Oh well, I guess that it's better than nothing. Maybe we can see if he knows anything. He must've seen the girl run through here atleast.' Before Robert could actually say anything, Sissy got her words out first and had covered everything he could've possibly asked. -
Ah, to bad for us then. All Robert could be able to do is try to comfort Ryan out of his depression and try (and likely fail) at 'fixing the problem,' since Ryan already tried apologizing full-heartedily and it failed, so Robert'd lack anything better for this.
-
That sounds fine. More or less thought it'd just be a 'random match' apart from the tourniment, but it'll all fine either way.Edit: Why do you keep messing Robert and Henry up. I mean, I'm not at all 'angry,' just seems like it's always Henry and not even a 'twin' joke with Kenny. Ah well.
-
Because this is less 'battle' and more 'RP' if you get it. They can work as two truely different elements, and can cause one another to be overlooked if done incorrectly. Besides, if you really felt a big need to, you could either.1) Make your own RP with your own rules and ideas through interest check 2) I believe that most of the people would be willing to battle 'normally', Possibly even make teams out of RP representation if they felt comfortable enough, but there is no need to make such a thing primary here. Anything else? Edit: Well, a lot of ninja-ing, but they bring up the other points.
