Will they be gotten rid of? Will we even be able to use them after they try this. Someone, please tell me that the Rom Hacks are safe.

      I wouldn't worry too much about it. That's like saying a company will ban mods. Maybe they'll charge a small fee, but getting rid of hacks and fan games would be a huge blow for nintendo especially to pokemon. We'll have to wait and see what's to come though.
