I'm also going with pretty much yes. It comes down to gay people being proud of being who they are which includes being gay. In a society with so many homophobes and people trying to tear people down, people are proud of who they love and who they are and there is nothing wrong with that. I suppose it has more to do with the thing that homosexual people have been seen as "wrong" and "shameful" and other things for so long in time, that openly proclaiming their sexual orientation and being proud of it is a step forwards to leave that represion and hate towards them behind.

As I said, I preffer someone proud of their sexual orientation than ashamed of it. Is not like anyone's hurting anybody, and tbh, I still think those parades are awesome
