Also judging by what Commander has done with his Character Profile, I'd say that it's fine for us to have our Partners learn a new move.

Going on what Strat asked, how much of a Level Increase can we expect to see for each Timeskip?

Jack Jack nodded. "That's okay, I'm going to have to switch out as well." Jack then walked over to Lara, picked her up, and then took her to where he was standing before. he then set her down and then glared at her while he used a Potion on her. she seemed very ashamed of herself, like she'd lost all will to fight against this particular opponent for now. Nonetheless, Jack admonished her sternly. "When this is over, you and I are going to have a little talk." Jack then sat down next to Leonidas, and gave him a quick pat on the back. "There, there, boy. The situation is finished. Now, go out there and do your best, Leonidas. Show me how well you can do while still remaining under control." Leonidas perked up at this, heading out onto the field, eager to begin. In response, Jack gave the first command of the Battle's second half. "Leonidas, Charge!" At this, Leonidas stood still, yellow sparks appearing around him as he gathered electrical power, raising his resiliency against moves that were mainly energy-based. Things just got serious, and it seems like the predator may have an experience as to what it's like from the prey's frame of reference, just without the lethal and gory bits at the end.

Jack The Scratch connected... ...except that Meena had hit the one place that could have made the situation worse: Lara's Bandanna. As soon as the clear rip of fabric was heard, Jack's nonchalant attitude and facial expression turned to those of dread, his face visibly turning pale and his previous smile now completely absent. He then spoke to himself, although Mio could've easily heard him. "Uh-oh. That's not good at all." Lara heard the fabric rip, saw Meena's joyful look, and then snarled, dodging out before unleashing a hair-raising Howl and then lunging at Meena with increased ferocity, intense anger clearly evident in her eyes at the damaging of her headwear. This time, she aimed for the neck, her teeth gaining a dark aura. It also unfortunately just so happened that this time, if she connected, she would be a lot less gentle and would also attempt to violently shake Meena into submission, rather than just hold on. All in all, a poor combination. The most that Jack could do for Lara in her rage was to try to stop her verbally. Arceus knows what would happen to him if he tried to physically separate her from her target. "Lara, NO!!!" Lara heard her trainer's call, and a spark of realization set in, even if just for a split second before vanishing again. The moments-breadth of hesitation before her attack offset her aim slightly to the side, something that prevented the taking of a life in that fight since she was now headed for Meena's shoulder rather than the meowth's neck. What she would do if she connected remained unchanged, though the consequences would be less disastrous for either trainer due to her aiming for a less-deadly area. After having finished speaking, Jack started to reach for a Potion, but stopped when he realized that if he healed Lara, then Mio would probably do the same for Meena, undoing all of the progress that had been made thus far on either side, and he didn't want to undo all of the hard work that either Pokemon had done. Just after Lara had snarled, Leonidas suddenly looked a lot more scared, and scurried from next to Jack to behind the human's leg. In addition, he covered his ears, shut his eyes tight, and shook in fear of what would come next. What Lara had said when she'd snarled and how she'd acted just afterwards had scared the living daylights out of him, although neither Trainer could've known what it was that she'd said, what with both of them being humans. ((OOC: Lara has only used Howl and Bite, nothing else.))

Jack As soon as Mio said 'scary face' the first time, Jack was a bit confused, and pulled out his Pokedex. However, once he looked at the Learnable Moveset for a Meowth, he started to catch on to what was happening, and only had time to speak three words after Mio repeated the command, yelling to Lara just as she had connected with Meena's foreleg. "Lara, watch out!" In response, Lara looked upwards, and saw Meena wind up for a Scratch. In response, she let go of meena's foreleg, darted back a short distance, only being hit on her snout as a result. She then quickly attempted to clamp her jaws down on the Meowth's now-exposed paw, the dark aura returning to her teeth again.

Jack Meena would've been on target had she aimed a little bit further downwards, but her eyes had been obstructed by grit, making her aim a little off. The fact that she aimed a little too high caused her to just barely avoid hitting Lara's head, and instead fall onto the ground just in front of the Poochyena. Jack then spoke again. "All right, Lara, Howl and then Bite." Lara gave off a spine-chilling howl, restoring her resolve to fight back to the pre-growl levels, and then sprinted at Meena, who was hurrying back to her own side of the field. As Lara chased the Meowth, her teeth began to become surrounded with the dark aura again.

Strat, there are some times when a question is not meant to be answered. I was just trying to keep this RP afloat, and my question was rhetorical.

Jack Jack saw how Meena dodged and then used growl, but didn't look surprised. So that's how you fight, huh? Two can play at that game. Jack then smiled, and gave Lara a command. "Lara, aim a Sand Attack just behind you, and then get out of there to avoid being hit!" Lara responded by kicking up her back paws, flinging dirt at Meena's face in the process. Once that was done, she ran back over to her Trainer's side of the field, ready for the next move.

Jack Lara looked at her Trainer, and nodded. She then headed out onto the field, and then waited for Jack to give her a command, which he did. "All right, Lara, use Bite." Lara then started to run towards Meena, teeth gaining a dark aura around them as she did so.

I'm getting a little worried about this... the IC Thread hasn't been Updated for roughly two weeks now, and the Battle Thread's been asleep for 12 days. What's going on?

Outside - Jack Jack was just about to move in Hugh's direction when Mio challenged him. In response, Jack nodded and spoke. "All right, that sounds good. But first, we should probably register our Pokemon in our Pokedexes." Jack then knelt down and scanned Lara and Leonidas into his Pokedex, their profiles showing up onscreen. Jack nodded, and then walked over to the nearest Battlefield. "How does a Single Battle sound to you, Mio?"

QotD 1/24 Most likely Dewott, mainly because i feel like that's exactly me in Pokemon Form. Plus, i like things to be orderly, and since it's the Discipline Pokemon there you have it.

As already stated, Starters have the first Two moves and the first Elemental Move. As for Pet Moves, I'm unsure. I played it safe by only going with Level-up moves so far.

Professor Juniper's Lab - Jack After receiving his Pokedex and hearing how to change it, Jack did exactly that, altering the color to indigo in order to make his unique. After three of the other participants got their partners, Jack and Lara were next to hurry to the table. Jack then searched for his card. it didn't take him long to find it, and they then made space for the next person to get their Partner. Jack then spoke to Lara, grinning in excitement. "Ready to meet our new partner, Lara?" Lara eagerly yipped in response, and Jack then continued. "All righty, then!" He then pressed the button in the center. The pokeball opened, then unleashed a brilliant flash of white light as a shinx materialized on the floor in front of the pair. It shook itself, and then sped between Jack's legs and dove into the bag before Jack could react. Jacks could only say a quick phrase as the shinx made its move for his bag. "What the-?!" He then noticed that there was a potion from his bag just over his shoulder, and looked upwards, highly amused. "Guess I'll name you Leonidas, little guy." the Potion went back into his bag, and then Leonidas came down from Jack's bag, happy with the name Jack had given him. Leonidas then decided to get to know the rather cute poochyena with the yellow headband, who introduced herself to him as Lara. She seemed interesting enough, maybe they could be closer at a later time. For now, though, there were places to go, things to do, and a world to explore! Lara, on the other hand, was surprised at how quickly things happened, much like her Trainer was. When Leonidas had asked her who she was, she gave him the honest truth about the names of her and the Human standing next to her. Leonidas seemed satisfied with that. Judging by how he'd looked at her, he thought she was cute. Because of this, she was blushing under her fur, although neither Jack nor Leonidas could notice. For now, though, the three of them were still where Jack had let Leonidas out of his Pokeball for the first time.

Route 1 - Everyone Jack congratulated Lara on the small victory, then the pair of them started walking with the others. As they did so, Jack couldn't help but overhear Alecks, and thought to himself, rolling his eyes and then slightly shaking his head as he did so. Oh, please. They were actually rather cute, and definitely not scary whatsoever... Too bad they had to be on the receiving end of a beatdown from us three. However, he kept his mouth shut and kept walking towards Nuvema Town with the others, Lara walking next to him as he casually viewed their surroundings, a faint smile on his face.

Route 1 - Everyone Jack nodded, then spoke to Lara. "Bite the last one, Lara!" Lara lunged forwards, teeth gaining a dark aura as she bit the third and final Patrat, catching it on the arm before letting go of her target and dodging back before it could even try to hit her in response.

9:20 AM - Route 1 Jack nodded, and then spoke to Lara, the two of them walking up next to Jason as he did so. "All right, Lara, let's show those Patrat who's boss!" Lara nodded and then ran up next to Rascal, ready to fight the Patrat. She seemed to be standing in front of the middle one.

8:55 AM - Route 1 Entrance Jack then decided to speak to the entire group. "For the three of you who haven't met me yet, My name's Jack, and the Poochyena next to me is named Lara. As for your remark about the Boy Scouts, Katie, I'm not one, no matter how much I might seem like one." He glanced down at his watch, and then continued speaking. "And as for the Researcher, they've still got five minutes before they're late. Which means five minutes for us to get to know each other better."
