Route 2 - Forest Clearing - Hilltop - "Creepy Clearing!" - Jack & his Team Jack wanted to exercise an understandable amount of caution when he saw the old man, not knowing who the guy was, or why the man was here. He'd decided to just wait for the person to finish before approaching, but Lara had other plans. She actually felt a bit sympathetic for the guy, and began walk over to him in an attempt to comfort him, as he seemed to be going through a period of grieving. Jack sighed to himself in frustration at how brash she could be at times, and started walking after her, making sure to go into the man's peripheral vision before he stopped. Then, Jack spoke up, making sure to not startle the man by speaking gently and maintaining a reasonable distance. "Excuse me, but I appear to have gotten a bit lost..."

Anna After hearing Arya's question, Anna shook her head, and then spoke. "I think that the best way to see what it does is to try it out, like I suggested Esyllt do back in the Dorm Room." She then turned to Layla. "Thanks for telling me." She then realized that she still hadn't activated her own powers yet. Having seen how Arya had managed to get an outfit that wasn't so impractical, she decided that now was as good of a time as any to undergo her own transformation. "Well, I might as well get this over with. Here goes nothing..." She then let out a calming breath, clearing her mind as she did so, then launched into the chant that Layla had told her back in the Dorm Room. "In the raging light of hope, With the flow of chance, To save myself from nightmares, And the unwillingness to surrender, Lend me your power, That I may free myself." As soon as she finished, she started to glow a faint blue, and sparkled white at the feet, the sparkles floating upwards. Then, water started to condense from the surrounding air, forming into a dark blue ball around her. Anna could be seen inside of the ball of water as a faint silhouette curled up in the very center, seemingly shifting if one looked closely. After the silhouette stopped moving for a few seconds, it uncurled, and then the ball splattered outwards, revealing a much-changed Anna underneath. Her eyes had changed from their previous indigo coloration to an icy blue, and her hair had changed from black to gold, remaining at shoulder-length. Her nails were now painted with blue and cyan, the cyan forming a trio of upwards-pointing triangles in the shape of a larger triangle on top of the dark blue background. Her arms and legs were covered in a tessellating triangular pattern of the same shade as the triangles on her nails, with the downwards-facing triangles not being colored. However, this pattern was not visible on her shins or calves thanks to a pair of futuristic-looking boots comprised of blue steel that had formed around her feet and lower legs. As for her torso, she'd gained a blue miniskirt and tank top underneath a blue-colored kevlar-and-ballistics-plating vest, which was supplemented in the front by a breastplate of the same metal and design as the boots. Behind her, she'd gained a flowing cape with a four-colored checkered pattern consisting of dark blue, yellow, green, and orange, with a central feature being a larger version of the same triangular pattern from her nails in the exact center. The cape was trimmed with brown and grey, and fastened in the front with a pin shaped like a yin-yang symbol consisting of copper and silver. Anna looked at herself, and then gave a phrase that showed what she thought of her new looks. "I am really liking my new looks. It's certainly much better than a ballroom gown, that's for sure."

Anna Anna was starting to head back into the kitchen when she overheard Natalie refer to one of the people as "the" rather than "a". She decided to probe further into the matter, but let the girl finish speaking first out of courtesy. "Excuse me, but I couldn't help but notice that you referred to one of the power combos as 'the' rather than 'a', but only that one specifically. Is there a reason for that, or am I just overthinking things too much?"

Anna After catching the apple and putting it back where Esyllt had gotten it from, Anna shook her head and turned away from Esyllt. "We'll see if I'm still hungry later, but I won't be eating stolen food anytime soon." She then walked into the living room, and asked a question to the entire room after doing so. "Is it OK for us to have a snack or a drink from the kitchen? I'd like to know before I could possibly do anything foolish, *cough*unlike-the-girl-that-has-just-had-a-banana*cough*."

Anna Anna waited for Esyllt to open the fridge door before sneaking up right behind the other girl, then speaking normally into her ear. "I don't think you should be doing that without permission, even if you're starving. It's just not right to steal, especially from someone who willingly let you into their living quarters."

Route 2 Clearing - "Creepy Clearing!" - Jack, Leonidas, and Lara When Jack had been grabbed, the boy had tensed up enough for both Leonidas and Lara to notice. Both of them looked up at their Trainer as the trio continued walking, wondering why he'd become so nervous. When the tentacle-like thing let go of him, he spoke a single word to his partners in a tone that conveyed how completely spooked he was. "Run!" The three of them then sprinted up the hill towards safety.

Route 2 - Forest Clearing - "Creepy Clearing!" - Jack The Purrloin jumping out so quickly startled Jack, causing him to jump back a bit, and the Murkrow's call put him even more on edge as the fog started to set in. However, after these fleeting occurrences happened, he tried calming down, looking back at Lara as he thought to himself, but was surprised at how even Lara was seemingly unsettled by something. Calm down, Jack, it's okay. You've been around a dark-type your whole life. A few low-leveled dar- oh my... He then breathed deeply once in an attempt at clearing his mind. Alright, the best thing to do in this situation would be to get to a highly-visible area. "Stay close to me, you two. I wouldn't want you to get separated from me in this fog, which could get worse at any time." The trio then headed up the hill towards the tree, moving in tight formation to avoid getting separated.

Route 2 Forest - Jack Jack heard the branch snap, and then quickly turned his head and shoulders in the direction of the noise, trying to see what had made it. However, he was too slow, and whatever it was went into the bushes before he could even catch a glimpse of it. He would have thought that it was just him hearing things, but then Lara started barking, indicating that it wasn't just him. He then spoke to his two Partners, intrigued as to what they had just been near. "C'mon, you two, let's see what that was." Side Quest Added: "Forest Findings" - Investigate the area to find out what caused the branch to snap The trio then walked over to the snapped branch, and Jack knelt down to see if he could find any footprints that had been left behind other than their own. If he didn't find any, he'd go in the direction of the bush that he'd heard and seen rustling just after the branch had snapped.

Anna Thankfully, they didn't have to wait too long before being let in. As an added bonus, they were let in by the person they were trying to find. Anna ended up just leaning against the wall in a relaxed manner. However, it didn't take long before she noticed that Esyllt had disappeared from the area, which irked her somewhat. She then headed to another location in the room in an attempt to find the girl and make sure that she wasn't doing anything too rash.

Jack - Route 2 Jack shrugged, and spoke to the others. "Well, I did want to see new places, and what better way than to go exploring off the beaten path?" He then sent out Lara and Leonidas, who walked on either side of him as the trio went into the forest and off of the path.
