  1. Yeah, thanks for letting me know. Most of the guide was made before ORAS and I just haven't gotten around to checking everything again. Also I'm not too too sure about including Amaura/Tyrunt in any chains cause, from what I've seen, most people just don't bother getting those 2 (especially Amaura) because their quest is a freaking pain. Then again, is a thing you can do, so I guess I've got some editing to do.

  3. actually, those abilities doesn't work like that.

When you walk the 128 steps the game makes like 2 Egg cycles happen and not one, but the step count should remain the same.

Nah, he got it right. And btw, an Egg Cycle is the total number of steps an egg needs to hatch.

Though those abilities only affect hatching, he's got trouble with egg generation.

Ok so I am following the instructions

    "Obtaining Eggs:

    1. Select the "Value Between" option in the menu where "Exact Value" is selected by default : 1-511 > New Scan

    2. Take a step

    3. Select "Increased value" by: 2 > Next Scan

    4. (Repeat steps 2 and 3 until there are about 4-5 values left)

    5. Remove any that are even numbered.

    6. Change the value of remaining ones to 511 and click the check box to the left

    7. Obtain Eggs quickly"

I am using Cheat engine 6.4

I follow step 1 and do first scan and a whole bunch of numbers come up in the left part of the engine

I do step 2 and take a step,

Then I follow step 3 and select "increase value by" option and put in 2, then I select next scan all goes well and more values come up

But when I repeat steps 2 and 3 by taking another step and selecting next scan then all the numbers disappear,

    What am I doing wrong

I attached an image to show you what I mean

Idk. If you ARE following the instructions properly, it should work. Mess around with it. Make sure the 2 things you put in are compatible. The thing you need to set to 511 goes up to 511, then drops down to 1 and climbs back up; do the first 3 steps, then walk around and keep an eye on the results in CE, find the thing that goes up to 511 then drops, make that 511 and toggle it; try if that'll do it. If that doesn't work, to see if things work at all, get an egg "legit" and try the quick-hatch thing.

Oh, and PM me your answer, don't wanna let this topic get too cluttered (like it's not too late for that already lol)

  4. Ghost and Electric.

The only Ghosts I dislike are the Dusk line, the Gengar line (though Haunter is cool), Sableye, Spiritomb, Trevenant line, Jellicent line and Aegislash.

There's a LOT of Electric types I dislike, but with Raikou, Eelektross, Zebstrika, Thundurus, the Rotoms, Zekrom, Stunfisk...yeah.

And Grass is up there too, there's just not as many things I like there.

  5. Is it possible to get near perfect IV through breeding here in reborn?? I wan't to breed my starter blaziken because he has bad IVs.. like 24 is the highest.. Can I breed him with other pokemons with high IV? , I dont really get how the IV is passed on to the egg..

I see thanks.. sooo in this Ep we use Gen VI right?

Please actually read the guide, everything you asked is already answered there.

  6. sorry. i see, so that's the criteria for the guide. yes it's true, it's easy to figure some of them lol. people can see from bulbapedia about egg moves and such. eq + rock attacks was popular back in gen 5, super effective against a lot of pokemon.

haven't played competitively since then. maybe the usefulness has changed now. okay then. my bad about ninetales, didn't see the vulpix + solarbeam compatibility. thanks! if i find something gimmick like thunder+compoundeyes, i'll let you know.

No no no, Rock+Ground is great coverage, but it's great because it's almost perfect neutral coverage (so almost nothing resists it). But Fighting+Dark+Steel IS perfect neutral coverage and that's a combo that involves 2 of Lucario's STABs, so that's just way better.

And no worries, happens to everyone lol. I remember when I was SURE that Venipede could have Swords Dance bred onto it .-.

  7. You quote posts by clicking the quote button to the bottom left of any post. Anyways, about your sets...sorry. It's rather easy to figure out how to get those moves onto Lucario and Gardevoir (and they're not the best for Lucario, cuz coverage and lack of STABs), so I don't think I'll be putting that in the guide (I'm only trying to put really useful or tough-to-figure out things like the Roserade chain in the guide). Moonlight on Arcanine is completely pointless since we have healing items, and Ninetales can't have Solar Beam cause Vulpix doesn't learn Solar Beam via TM.

  8. Hello ^^

Cant get cheat engine work for quick egg drop and hatch.

Has someone a video tutorial for starting it? x_x

    Check your PMs.

may i add something for galvantula? Thunder + CompoundEyes = 91% accuracy, so thunder is definitely a beast.

    Galvantula (Electabuzz Lv 55 gets thunder (Humanlike) -> Volbeat/Illumise (Bug-Humanlike) -> Joltik).

The downside is, you can't get energy ball :( so you got to choose either thunder or energy ball. EB for coverage while thunder if you already have another grass type. I can't find the chain breed in bug group that can learn both EnergyBall + Thunder.

Wai-what. WHY are those 2 in the human-like group??? Well, um, either way, thanks! Gonna add that to the guide. And yeah, this is the only way to get it Thunder, the Bug Group is really limited, so you gotta choose between this and EB.

Also, took Simon's idea and edited the guide . Now, the moves you can only get in E12 are written in green, to make the guide easier to use.

  9. The Chikorita line is actually my favorite starter line...it's really not the most useful line, but I just like them. Perhaps the only line where I don't completely ignore the design and only focus on usefulness (which is why I can like Delphox).

For everything else, I dislike Froakie and Chespin, I pity Oshawott and "pity" Sceptile, and absolutely loathe all gen 1 starters.

-Greninja is not even that hard-hitting, Protean and it's high speed make it more of an annoyance than anything.

-Chesnaught is...Chesnaught. Everything about it screams annoying staller, from the stats, over the movepool, to the ability. And that's what you get~

-Samurott's tale is a sad one. Great movepool, great offensive stats (by starter standards) and pretty equal offensive stats so you can run it both ways. But it has no speed and the fact that Razor Shell, something I'd see as the perfect signature-move for it, was also given to Shelder. As if they didn't even consider it deserving of a neat move to help it out, like it was doomed to suck since day one.

-With Sceptile...well, I'd feel bad for this Special attacker getting barely any special moves, but they gave it a Mega that cranks up it's offensive stats like crazy, so it's back to neutral in my book. And hey, at least it's not in a situation like Kyurem-B, not having ANY physical Ice-STAB.

-I absolutely loathe the gen 1 starters. Really. Firstly, you have people (mostly genwunners) that go nuts the moment one of them is even mentioned, to the point that just listening to them for more than 2 second can make you hate them, even if you don't know what they are at that point (hence why I will never ever ever watch Star Wars)(hence why I also depsise Blaziken).

Next up, they're not even that good! Look at their stats, you have Blastoise that's got some bulk, but has pathetic offenses.

Venusaur is just as sad offensively since it doesn't even have a Poison STAB without TMs/Breeding. Or a really good special Grass STABs. What it's moveset does get is a bunch of stall-tools. Ew.

Charizard has alright offensive stats, but they're nothing to write home about and it's movepool is terrible. It's Gen 6 and it still doesn't get Air Slash unless you Heart Scale it! It does have Dragon Dance, but it's pitiful with that Attack stat. There's no reason to keep it, just replace it with any Flying or Fire type you happen to find, chances are it'll be much better. Hell, Heatmor is better! Slightly worse bulk, better overall offensive stats, great coverage with stuff like Giga Drain, Sucker Punch, Superpower, etc. It's speed is maybe the only real issue, but even then, Heatmor can work in Trick Room, Charizard is in that limbo where it's too fast for TR, too slow outside of it.

-And the Megas just make it worse. Venusaur is the most disgusting staller in the entire game IMO, Blastoise got coverage so many would kill for just cause it's a beloved Gen1 starter that also gets a Mega, and with Charizard, why the hell does it get 2 Megas???

Everything else is fine. Even as many people seemingly dislike Emboar, it is ugly, but it's alright. Hits really hard with stuff like Reckless Flare Blitz, gets Sucker Punch to help it's speed along, etc.

  10. You must have misunderstood the guide a bit. You do have the right intention of going back to Episode 12 to breed the TM move. However, you must stay in Episode 12 and get the egg there so that the move can be passed down.

Pretty sure you only need to take it in E12. You got the egg, it's already out of the day-care, so the moves and all should be determined already.

  11. Hello, after reading this guide, I tried my hand at breeding TM moves using the Reborn E12 game from the OP. In Reborn E15, I put my male Blaziken (Bulk Up as the slot 4 move) and female Scraggy in the day care, walked into the candy shop and saved. Then I loaded the E12 game, and walked around until an egg would appear at the day care. Then I saved and loaded E15, walked to the daycare, and took the egg from the Daycare man. However, each time when the egg would hatch, the hatched Scraggy wouldn't know Bulk Up.

Any thoughts on what I could be doing wrong?

All of an egg's specifics, including moves, are chosen when you take it. So take the egg in E12, then go back to E15.

  12. The method for obtaining/hatchign eggs quickly never seems to work for me. There always ends up being the wrong number of values (Ex, while trying to hatch 5 eggs, doing step 3 always reduces the number to 4). Is there an actually physical demonstration of this anywhere? Because I feel like I am screwing something up but can't for the life of me tell.

Got anything with Flame Body or Magma Armor? That doubles by how much a step decreases the "steps until hatching" value. So either use 4 instead of 2 for step 3 or deposit whatever has Flame Body or Magma Armor.

  13. Forgot to mention this, I think a color key could be useful for addressing which moves can be passed down either Pre or Post Episode 13.

It can be at times difficult to tell which moves can be passed down through either method due to the large amount of text.

Good idea, will do that...once I get done with exams.
