I still find it interesting how Victoria insists on testing YOU to see if you're ready, when she's never been shown to accomplish much of anything in comparison to your heroics.
It's not so much supposed to be a test as it is a way for her to not feel guilty about letting the player challenge. After all, she at least tried that way.
