Stuff like shards, snax and Common Candies are useful, the first, later on can be exchanged for useful stuff, the Poke Snax let you get Event Pokemon and you might wanna keep an eye on the level cap, it's not fun to have your party start disobeying you mid battle.

I'd say Sudowoodo, to be honest. It got a baby form, but a proper evolution seems necessary. Chatot, Luvdisc and other gimmicky Pokemon, they aren't very good and serve no other purpose than a couple laughs.

Off the top of my head, I can say Primeape and Snorlax. Primeape is constantly pissed of and all "fight me!", and Snorlax will leave you broke with his food expenses.
