He tries very hard to stay calm and collected but has a very hot temper. Sarcus is also very proud and easily offended, though less so around friends. He is very intelligent but somewhat lacking in people skills and common sense. Sarcus relates very well to Pokemon, however. He's been traveling alone with his Absolution since his family was taken away on suspicion of opposing the Church of Dawn; the reason the Absol appeared to him.

Now, don't get me wrong, I love Dragon-types. Right now I'm trying to build a team full of them in Platinum and SoulSilver. But, I can't help but think that they don't have the greatest design gameplay-wise. Basically, you have a type with a fair number of resistances, most of which are fairly common, and its only weaknesses are itself and a fairly rare type. Then, you give the type AMAZING moves, which are only resisted by one or two types. After that, you give basically every member of the type dual typing and movepools that easily cover its weakness to Ice. This results in the introduction of a type made specifically to counter it.

Other: Emerald is the only person aside from Sonny who knows how long he's been in the Village of Clouds. He uses exclusively Normal-types, but loves all Pokemon regardless of type.
Sonny is skilled in the use of Offensive Magic and is descended from a line of Berserkers, Poke-People who employ physical boosting magic through the Offensive branch instead of the Psychic branch. This can occasionally cause them to lose control in battle, although the presence of friends helps curb this effect.
Sonny's weapon of choice is a hand-and-a-half sword called "Necessity." It is a simple arming blade forged in a manner similar to that used for katana. He prefers to use his fists, but will draw his sword if the need arises. Emerald and Alina are the only two in the village who have seen him wield his blade. Sonny often employs his offensive magic and his Pokemon's abilities to add additional strength to the blade.

Super Luck is horrible in 6th. Super Luck + Night Slash =50% crit ratio. Add in a scope lens and it rises to either 75% or 100% [i forgot which].
Still, I've always seen Absol's speed cited as the reason it isn't in higher tiers. I've been playing a game with a hacked Speed Boost Absol running the moveset I wrote in my post and it's amazingly effective.

Basically, a theorycrafting thread. E.G, I think Absol would be an absolute beast if it had Speed Boost instead of Pressure or Super Luck. Run something along the lines of Detect, Night Slash, Sucker Punch, and Swords Dance, with possibly a held Focus Sash to give you a chance to Swords Dance without being asploded.

What I would prefer to be? Absol. I get to tell people that shit is going down, but otherwise just do my thing and own all of those annoying Psychic types. What I actually would be? Probably a Swampert or something, I kind of just sit around until someone pisses me off.

A shiny Ursaring in SS. Named it Envirobear. I was in a hotel for a fencing tournament with a buddy, and I was headed to Mt. Silver to level a Bagon up a bit to calculate its IVs. I flipped out, since I have been playing Pokemon for, oh, eight years, and had never seen one until then. (Except for Red Gyrados, but that doesn't count.)

Gen V. Mostly because of some of those. . . interesting . . . designs for Pokemon. Gen III was my favorite, I actually loved the region and the pokemon are my favorites. (Absol ftw.) Though, Ruby was the first Pokemon game I ever played, so I might be a bit biased.

Absol. I love the design, and the amazing Attack is icing. Plus, dark types are amazing, and I like everything about Absol.
