Flowers are really sweet, but not as an opening play. Personally, I would prefer flowers to be saved to the Turn rather than being played at the first round or even the River. Sorry for the Poker terms, but that's how I'm picturing things. It's not really the kind of flowers or the amount, but the timing is also key.

Also, be subtle. The curious she is, the more allured she is to the bait. And to try to find something in which she is more interested in you, like something you like that she likes or some cliche like that.
