  1. Prei couldn't resist a laugh. It was odd that a god figure, of all things, should help them now. Ironic and slightly distasteful. She shrank back into her human form while readying Myriad by her side. Then she began to chant. Begin Charging [Unerring Judgment of the Dragon Maiden: <<Myriad Execution>>] Current Damage: 10 + 10 + (0)*2 = 20 Turns left before firing: 2
  2. Prei coughed and spluttered, gritting her teeth against the force of the explosion, but remained on her feet. A gutteral growling issued from her throat, a growling that turned into a full-on roar as her body was shrouded in a brilliant white light, changing and growing until she grew to her full size: a massive dragon, easily 40 meters tall, clad in scales of pure white, scales that gleamed in whatever light there was. She roared, issuing a challenge to her would-be enemies. Prei uses Dragonform. 1.5x STR and 2x RES, 0.5x DEX/SYN.
  3. Kagari noted the smartphone's advice and complied. Strategy had never been her strong suit. She was competent at it, but it was far from her specialty. GAtling Ass on the Meka. DEX/2 hits of 1d3 + DEX damage. Current DEX (including Tarukaja) is 16.
  4. Kagari uses Hip Gatling on Bastion 327. 5 hits of 1d3 damage. Perk: Keijo Pro gives her bonus damage equal to DEX on each hit for ass attacks. Total damage = 5 hits of (10 + 1d3) damage, or 50 + 5d3.
  5. Kagari cracked her neck. Seems like she would be on the ground fighting off these things. Fine then. She'd had enough of singing for today. She felt the magic that held her together flaring up as her back shifted and twisted, the top part of her shoulders expanding into a sort of plated armor that bore a pair of rotor blades at the tips. A similar plating covered her arms and legs, covering her fists and butt in a hard metal casing. A pair of sunglasses materialised over her eyes, glinting in the light. Kagari shifts secondary forms to AH-64 Apache. Gains flight, +1 init, 130% DEX, 80% RES. Current DEX = 10. Current RES = 0.
  6. Prei activates Elemental Spears (Fire) - Next instance of damage (including counters) deals 3d6 bonus fire damage.
  7. Prei spins Myriad around and assumes a ready position. All around her, spears of cackling fire sparked into being. A feral grin graced her face. Outnumbered. Just how she liked it. Prei activates Elemental Spears (Fire) - Next instance of damage (including counters) deals 3d6 bonus fire damage.
  8. Kagari quickly took out the revolver she had nicked from the pile and glanced at it, before swallowing it in a single gulp. She felt that nice, tingly feeling of her body registering new material, then quickly shaped the data into something that was more useful for her. Peacemaker consumed. New Action Gained: Revolver Ass
  9. Kagari eyed the shotguns with distaste. She wasn't particularly a fan of shotguns, since they were weapons designed for causing excessive damage. And they were ugly. These shotguns, especially, suggested a complete lack of regard for appearances. How anyone could bear to use them was beyond her. She upturned her nose and remained in her spot against the wall. Let someone else have them. She wasn't going to sully her hands by touching them.
  10. Kagari cast a cursory glance over the equipment laid out before them. Nothing particularly caught her interest. The jacket was of no use to her, given that she was able to restructure herself to keep the cold out. The shotguns might have interested her, but they were far too gaudy. She was not a fan of the idea of something as tasteless as that floating around in her conceptual makeup. The shield seemed helpful, but again, it was a bit too ugly. Also difficult to coordinate. Belts and swimsuits hardly match well. Having decided to leave these to others, she hung back and quietly contemplated what she could do with the revolver she had taken from the pile a couple days ago...
  11. Kagari noted the wall of projectiles and relaxed. There you go. Then Kagari was herself again. She blinked furiously, shaking her head clear. She hated when that other her took over. It was always so sudden, so intrusive. Granted, that other Kagari usually did things for her benefit, but it was still annoying. She could at least ask, first. But no, that was inefficient. Kagari glanced upward. ...and now they had switched back just in time for her to get hit by a veritable curtain of fire. Brilliant. Wow, thanks. Thanks a lot. And now the diminutive girl probably thought she was a conwoman of some sort for attacking. Technically, she had run her fair share of cons, but... She dropped her weapon and looked straight at Hiroki, winking and hoping she would catch the gesture. That was all she was able to do before she was struck by the wave of projectiles, feeling the impact of numerous projectiles on her exoskeleton, wincing in pain at each. The barrage carried her backward and away, sending her crashing to the floor. When the dust cleared away, the audience would see the picture of Kagari lying on the ground, unmoving and unconscious.
  12. Kagari lifted an eyebrow. "Doom? Really? What kind of name is that? Like, I get that you want to be all menacing and scary and so on, but honestly 'Doom' is just such a... I don't know, boring name. Couldn't you have gone with something like 'Vice' or 'Dharvesk' or something?" A thought occurred to her. "Oh, wait, don't tell me Doom is your given name? Damn, that's unfortunate. See, this is why being an amorphous blob is good. I don't have to worry about little things like names. Seriously though, you should consider changing your name to something a little less cringeworthy."
  13. Finally. If the current Kagari had been capable of emotion, she might have breathed a sigh of relief. As it were, she backflipped off the mech and quickly created some distance, skidding to a halt several meters away. She stowed away her hammer, and drew another weapon - a large sword, with numerous serrated teeth lining its edge. She held the weapon up in a ready stance and waited.
  14. Kagari frowned. Hiroki was taking a sub-optimal course of action. This would not do. She had to use her mech's unique capabilities to win the most Favor. Simply beating down Kagari would not be as entertaining for the audience. A set of wires emerged from her wrist and twined themselves around the handle of her hammer. Cannons were heavy and bulky. They were hardly suited for close-range combat. Jet-boosted or not, it was simple to see them coming. Kagari struck the cannon with the hammer, using the impact to shift her course, out of the path of the strike. She grabbed on to Hiroki's shoulder and used it as a pivot, landing on Hiroki's back. Then, hammer in hand, she began to strike away. It was not like her blows against Mommo. Each hit was methodical, measured, rhythmic. Each hit was spaced precisely 2.483 seconds apart. She attacked with a calmness and consistency that was uncharacteristic - and vaguely frightening.
  15. More. She needed to show off more. Kagari reversed the grip on her hammer, holding it such that the head was positioned below rather than above her fist. This made it harder to swing with, but it was far easier to carry while running in this way. The short bursts of plasma that Hiroki was firing in her direction were unimpressive, merely meant to make her approach more problematic. Not nearly flashy enough. Her back opened up, releasing her bits, which formed a lattice of footholds in the sky, above the barrage. With a quick leap, she jumped from bit to bit, zigzagging at high speeds, rapidly closing the distance, finally dashing for another strike from Hiroki's left.
  16. Kagari staggered back, feeling the effects of the hammer blow. A large hole was in her side, where the hammer had hit her. Allowing it to close itself over, she narrowed her eyebrows and stopped singing Knight of Firmament. She liked the song, but it wasn't what was needed at the moment. Genji and that pretentious guy in the mask seemed hurt pretty badly. It was okay for her to take damage, since she would just reform, but humans tended to be less fragile. She snapped her fingers and her dress shimmered, changing colour schemes, the fabric changing to a black one, lined by green trim. Her hair turned a bright yellow, and a cute white ribbon appeared on her head, at odds with the darker outfit. Then she sang another song, a short one this time. As she sang, Genji and Venus would feel a vague sense of comfortable discomfort as renewed strength entered their bodies. Kagari stops singing Knight of Firmament. She switches songs to Paradichlorobenzene. Venus and Genji heal for 1d4 + 4 hp each.
  17. Kagari impassively regarded Hiroki's actions. The anger was good, but Hiroki needed to be flashier if she was to get a sizable amount of Favor. She deftly avoided the haphazard clawing and crouched low within Hiroki's guard, driving the dagger deep into the ground as a set of elastic wires quickly twined themselves around its handle. Using the dagger as a pivot, she abruptly changed direction, speeding to Hiroki's other side, stopping just short of her fallen hammer. The wires that bound her lithe frame to the dagger's handle stretched out just enough for her to grasp hold of the weapon, before the tension in them jerked her back, heading toward Hiroki at a high speed with a large hammerblow in tow.
  18. Kagari sighed. She didn't get this person. At all. Too weird, even for a human. Still, it seemed a fight was unavoidable. Apocalypse Collider materialised around her ear in hands-free mode. It didn't say anything to her, and she didn't say anything either. She wasn't in the mood for the usual blame game. A quick flash of light covered her body and allowed her to change forms into her idol form. Feeling the magic coursing through her body, she began to sing. Kagari Transforms! (Swap DEX and SYN values. Current Dex = 4. Current Syn = 8) Guerilla Live activates: She begins singing Knight of Firmament. All allies that can hear her (so basically everyone) receive 1d4 less damage per hit for three turns or until she stops singing this song.
  19. Kagari sighed and crossed her arms. This was getting nowhere. Clearly, neither of them was willing to fight. She briefly wondered if there was a forfeit clause. She hadn't quite read all the rules of the tournament before she'd entered. Then again, she hadn't quite been prepared for a situation like this. The crowd was beginning to grow impatient, as well. Kagari couldn't blame them. They had likely come to watch violent mech-on-mech action, not a soap opera. Hiroki was ahead on points, and had an actual dream. She had an actual reason to win, unlike the silly whims that drove Kagari. The best thing that could happen in this round was for Hiroki to win spectacularly, cementing her lead. But if she wasn't going to fight, that wasn't going to happen. Kagari groaned. She hated navigating human relationships. She was never good at them, she was never good at talking to people. Not for the first time, she found herself wishing she could foist her problems off on someone else. Then why don't you? Kagari staggered back, a brief flash of horror crossing her face, as she heard a very familiar voice in the furthest reaches of her consciousness. She had let herself lapse. She cursed her indecisiveness, and tried to expel the voice. The solution to your little problem is simple, is it not? Kagari collapsed to the ground, sinking on one knee. She clutched her head in her hands, moaning. If all you need is for that little girl to fight, you simply have to force her into it, no? Kagari felt bars around her consciousness as she tried to scream but found that no sound came out. To the spectators, it would seem that Kagari was kneeling limply on the floor. Kagari felt herself receding, being evicted by another self. Kagari felt her sense of the world shrinking, darkening, changing- ... ... ... Kagari pushed herself back on her feet and regarded her opponent with an impassive face. Her enemy was heavily armored, but primarily used ranged attacks. Crushing weapons would be preferred. Distance was approximately 8.31 meters. Distance could be covered in approximately 0.8492 seconds from stationary start. Surface friction of the ground was a value which was insignificant in deviance from the mean friction found on common ground. Air resistance was negligible. Given these circumstances, best method of engagement would be a frontal assault with a close-quarters weapon. Hammer or equivalent blunt weapon was preferred. Her current loadout lacked such a weapon. Ergo, the next best option was selected. Kagari crouched down into a striking position, pushing off at a high speed directly at Hiroki, a wrist compartment sliding open to eject a dagger into her open palm.
  20. Kagari stared at the woman, not entirely sure how to respond. So many things she wanted to point out, not the least of which was the person's fashion sense. "Yes, um... well, pleasure to make your acquaintance... who exactly are you, again? Or perhaps more importantly, what do you do here? Why were you waiting?"
  21. Kagari motioned toward the door. "Alright then, let's get moving." Kagari assumes the appearance of hard light, matching the building, and sneaks along the walls of the corridor, heading toward the roof.
