As a Deaf Studies Major, I'm with Maelstrom (and everyone else, it seems) on this one. Deaf people are functional enough to operate with relatively little day-to-day assistance. Blind people are much worse off =/ Deafness, in today's day and age, is basically just a language barrier.

I haven't played a Pokemon game since Sapphire, but I remember having a Sableye that was colored differently and sparkled when he was thrown into battle. I didn't think much of it at the time, I was honestly a little disappointed since I preferred the purple color scheme. Then I found out years later what a shiny Pokemon was.

My family dog, Miles! Cute lil' guy's starting to have hip problems though. Old man dog. I have a rescued California Desert Tortoise as well who was being mistreated by an older woman who was slipping into dementia. My father cares for California Desert Tortoises, and is licensed to do so; I am still undergoing the process of getting permitted.

It's a brand new party (I just started the game) but I suppose I'll include them here! Naming Rattata Fievel just seemed funny to me at the time Zeboim is the name of a turtle water deity from an old fantasy series Volt a play on Bolt, from the silly movie a while back with the super fast dog Jiminy Kricketot? C'mon, everyone had to see that coming Hephaestus for Magmin, just a cool thematically appropriate deity Chip for Pachirisu. I know Chip and Dale were Chipmunks, not squirrels, but whatever

Gotta be either the Squirtle line, or the Aron line, although I can't honestly say my choices are stat-based. My Aron and his evolutions just never let me down, and as for Squirtle, what can I say. I like turtles.

I'm not entirely what to say for my first post to this forum, so I'll make it as short and sweet as I can. Like most everyone here, I grew up playing Pokemon, trading cards, and watching the show. Unfortunately, other things came up in life and I didn't get to participate in the newer generations of Pokemon. I'm joining Reborn so that maybe I can solve that issue It's always nice to meet new people, and from what little I've seen in the forums, everyone here seems wonderful. I can't wait to meet you all! P.S. Downloading the game now...I'm very excited!
