As far as real shinies (real pokemon games) I failed at both magikarp and haunter.(iv been playing for about 9 years and only encountered 2) For Reborn I caught 2 almost immediately after starting the game. Rattata and bidoof. EDIT - I caught a shiny PIDGEY(reborn)

I played once, its pretty good. Since its online we can play with friends.....the only problem is its hard to pick a time where everybody can play at the same time. I only have one badge so far since that's where my friends and I stopped playing and never returned.

Charizard has always been my favorite, ever since Pokémon red version.

I've already played the downloadable demo(found it on youtube) and I though it was pretty good. I wonder when we can play more of it, im not sure how far exactly into development it is.

Platinum - Magikarp and haunter I ran from the magikarp because I wasn't really paying attention and I killed the haunter because my pokemon were to powerful. I must have replayed each game at least 4 times and that's all I found.

The only two times I encountered a shiny. I ran from one before looking and only saw it as I was leaving the battle and the critical hit I got on the other. I almost crushed my DS and id consider myself a fairly calm person.

If they just made the games themselves then there wouldn't be so many fan made games. Don't get me wrong I love fan made games but Nintendo is missing out.

I try to be as active as possible, I do like talking with other fans. @Shushuo - thanks, its been fun so far and I glad everybody has been friendly. @Rotomfan63 - Shiny hunting, I tried that once. I think it was on fire red and I was trying to get a shiny charmander. I never got it though. It seems its a little easier to get shiny Pokémon in reborn. The thread I was talking about was about the shiny rate actually. I happened upon a shiny rattata and a bidoof and was wondering how common they were.

Hi everybody, I recently signed up. I have been playing Pokémon for a long time now I guess and its probably my favorite game. I was getting bored waiting for x and Y.(I have already replayed all my games recently) I happened across this site and it looked good. Besides Pokémon i like anime and manga and a few other games. I'm a friendly person and you wont find me trolling or anything like that. I like to talk to other a lot so feel free to talk to me, actually id appreciate if you did. I wasn't sure what exactly to name myself but LGND Red seemed cool since Red is probably the coolest trainer there is or will ever be. I don't watch Pokémon anymore because i don't feel like its the same as it used to be. I don't particularly have anything against it though. Funny story, I already messed up and posted a question that was already answered by someone. I'm used to the forums on MAL and I guess I got lost here. Anyway sorry about that. Hi, I'm new here and I apologize if I'm putting this in the wrong spot or if there is a answer to my question somewhere. Ill remove it myself if possible, so please point me in the right direction. How common are shiny Pokémon. I just started today and have already encountered 2. Everybody likes shiny Pokémon right, but I was thinking if they are easy to find then its not really special. Just wondering if its supposed to be like this. Thanks in advance.
