  1. Rose stared in shock as her knife was destroyed by the wolf, and Enya's dragon did it no harm. The wolf then leapt toward her, jaws gaping open, and she stared in disbelief. Her every plan had failed. "Everyone," she whispered, " I'm so sorry." Closing her eyes, she waited to feel the pain... But instead, the next thing she felt was a hard landing on the floor. "Oww... That hurt..." Rose moaned. "Oh great Miss Rose just arrived too, how handy. I'm sorry about the way you've been sumonned here, but it seems you managed to piss of Deceit, and it is not the most patient wolf around, you know," came a voice from somewhere above her. Looking up, Rose saw a man like Enya had described to Mr. Taylor. "Wait," she questioned wearily, "that wolf, that has been trying to kill us was really trying to get us here? Why couldn't you summon us normally?" She then stood up, staggering from the pain in her head that was threatening to overtake her. The cuts on her arms were steadily bleeding as well. "Could you answer who you are, and what the purpose of this trial is?" Seeing Ellaria, she leaned on her for support, whispering, "It's me," so the girl wouldn't be frightened.
  2. Rose stared as an angry howl came from the direction her cards were going in. Suddenly, a bright silver glow could be seen, even over the luminescence of the magma. What happened next was terrifying. The she-wolf dashed over Enya's trap as though it were non-existent, and ran past her. Turning, her green eyes widened in horror. The wolf had knocked Damian away and grabbed Ellaria in its jaws, biting down and causing the girl to just vanish in a puff of silvery white smoke. "Ellaria, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Rose screamed desperately, sending her remaining cards at the wolf, each one cutting through the air as fiercely as a knife would. This caused the wolf to turn and glower at her. Rose scrambled for a pencil from her bag, and quickly sleight-of-handed it into a knife. Wincing as she once again cut herself while drawing the knife out of her jacket, she flung it through the air toward the she-wolf, this one aimed toward the center of its face. As she let go of the knife, she immediately called to Enya, "I hope you have something up your sleeve!" and began to dart toward where some of her cards had fallen earlier so that she could use them again if need be.
  3. Hmm, I'd like to see having to go undercover as a Team Meteor grunt (Gold and Silver, anyone?)
  4. Hearing Ellaria call out to her, "Rose, you hit it!" she began to fight her exhaustion harder. Someone had opened a rift from somewhere else in the library and seemed to help Enya out, seeing as her power had intensified. Ethic, who had tried to help, ran stating that he was going to keep the wolf away from them in case it had found away around the lava. "Ellaria, can you tell me where the wolf is? Is it in the same place? I'm going to try to nail it again," Rose called to her companion. She then reached into her jacket and pulled out a deck of cards. Hearing the girl say that the she-wolf had gone left, she began hurling cards in that direction, giving enough force that you could hear them cutting through the air.
  5. *snipes from the mountain* Then don't use such simple conquering methods yourself! The hill is mine, though I'm not present there
  6. Time seemed to slow for Rose. She watched as Mr. Taylor fell from seemingly no where to land right next to Enya, screaming, "Wha ... What in the hell is happening!?" She could feel herself tiring from what she had done before, yet knew she had to keep going. This lava that was keeping them safe wouldn't last forever, and Rose was almost positive that it was Enya's doing. Upon reaching them, Rose quickly asked, "Are you both alright?" Without waiting for an answer, she turned to stare across the lava at the wolf. The beast seemed frustrated as it looked for a way to get to its prey. I've just been using defensive spells so far, Rose thought to herself. Maybe it's time I tried some sleight of hand with this power. Using a pencil from her bag, she snuck it into her sleeve and began using simple hand movements meant to misdirect a person's attention, and willed the pencil to become something useful. Once she stopped, she drew from her sleeve a long dagger, hissing in pain as she cut her arm while pulling it from her jacket. Taking careful aim, she then hurled the dagger toward the wolf, holding her breath and praying that her throw had been good.
  7. Rose moaned as she realized something. "Enya!" she screamed out, stopping and looking for the girl. There she was, near a growing pool of lava that separated her from the she-wolf. The creature looked furious at having been stopped from catching her prey yet again. Letting go of Ellaria's hand, she told her comrades, "I have to get Enya, she won't stand a chance against that thing. If you want to keep going, go ahead. If you want to come with me, and maybe deal with this thing once and for all, that's great too." Having said that, she turned away from them and began sprinting toward the younger girl.
  8. Rose fell backwards in shock, causing Ellaria and Ethic to fall, as Damian fell out of the sky and onto her. "Damian," she puffed, "we need to go. Look." She pointed back at the she-wolf, who was quickly gaining ground on them. Helping her companions up, she began thinking. "Take Ethic's hand, Damian." Turning back to the wolf, she hollered, "Freeze!" before beginning to run from the wolf once more. She noticed the air rippling with static, and felt significant heat, but paid it no mind. Calling back, she asked, "Where'd you go? And where's Mr. Taylor?!"
  9. Back to the mountain kingdom for me!
  10. If the hill is open, then I'll come back from the mountains to be queen!
  11. Rose gasped as the mysterious voice that she had heard from earlier boomed out around them. Frantically glancing around, she asked " Is everyone- Damian, Mr. Taylor, where are you?!" The two had appeared to vanish into thin air. Swearing under her breath, she muttered that whatever this hill held had better be worth it. As Ellaria grasped her hands and spoke, "Guys, I think we have company," Rose heard a growl that she thought was gone for good. Looking behind her, she saw the she-wolf from earlier. If animals had faces, this one would be furious and looking for revenge. Turning, and preparing everyone to run, she saw two green eyes peering from the shadows, filled with menace. "Guys," she whispered, "when I say run, we need to go." Quickly picking up Enya and linking her hand with Ellaria, she explained to Ethic that they held hands in order to stay together. Asking him to take Ellaria's other hand, she was astonished to see a shimmering figure come from Ethic and create a wall of fire. Taking the chance, she turned and shouted "Freeze!" to the mystery creature in the shadows. "Now, let's go!" she told the others, running through the bookshelves without waiting to see if her "spell" had worked.
  12. Rose shut her eyes and shook her head slowly. "Mr. Taylor, while I understand the conclusions you've drawn, I can't agree with you." Blinking her eyes open once more, she focused on each member of the group. "We each came for a reason. This place, whatever it may be, isn't going to just give us the answers we desire, we have to earn them. It's the same way in life. This place is challenging us to see if we're worthy of gaining what we seek." As she finished, she hoped her voice carried the conviction she felt, but couldn't suppress a flicker of doubt in her words.
  13. I feel kind of pathetic that I can't take the time to finish Pokemon Y. I've had it since October, and I only have 7 of the badges.

Don't feel bad I got it the day after it came out and still haven't actually finished it. I actually have only just recently gotten 7 badges. I was taking so long gathering pokemon and training them up I had around 300 at the 2nd or 3rd gym

That's awesome though! I just wondertrade with people constantly... Plus, I let Reborn take priority over Y, in addition to school and work

  14. ((Ethic, the parts about Rose not trusting anyone around her were her thoughts)) Seeing that Ethic had no weapons, Rose relaxed slightly. "I don't believe any of us have any weapons either." Setting Enya down for a moment, she grasped her waist bag, and plopped down on the ground. "I know for a fact I don't," she said ruefully as she emptied her bag onto the floor, revealing a contacts case with solution, various medicines, a small umbrella, a cell phone, and a wallet. "This is all I took with me from home, barring the cash I used to get here. Then again, I also didn't expect for there to be others here," she commented. As she began to put her things away, she added, "Not that I mind the company. Enya, Ellaria, and Damian have been great company so far. It's nice to have people to rely on." As she said this, Rose kept her inner doubt to herself, choosing to trust in her instincts over her doubt. Having finished putting her things away, she held Enya's hand loosely as she got back to her feet. "And if what you say about McGee is true... Let's be careful of these shelves."
