"By-Byron," Rose wheezed. "I don't know how I could ever thank you for this." As her savior helped her up, she saw Kenny. "Oh, so that's why Kenny couldn't hold the portal. He died..." she trailed off, uncertain of what to say. Looking at Byron again, she gave him a quick hug. "Thank you for bringing Kenny too," she said, before turning her thoughts elsewhere.
Picking up her spear, Rose stumbled over to Aighan. Whether Byron's shot had killed him or not, she didn't know. "You could have been a really kind person," she told Aighan's unmoving body. Now that he was out, the woman found it easier to think. "I hope you get to live a better life one day." With that, she sunk her spear into his skull, satisfying herself that he was dead. Taking the spear out, she quickly took out her contacts and left them on the ground and turned back to Byron and Kenny's unconscious form. "I'm ready when you are," she said firmly, using her spear as a walking stick to rejoin them.
