Rose, feeling better from Kenny's healing, reacted quickly to Mr. Taylor's statement. "Freeze!" she hollered, locking her concentration in on the newcomer. If she could hold Lilith still, there was simply no way that a human like themselves could get away from her hold while she was totally concentrating. She didn't let go of Ellaria's hand as she finally hauled herself to her feet, able to stand again. "Who are you, and why did you stab him?" she questioned, moving in front of Ellaria to protect her and placing her other hand in her bag of daggers.

Lifting her head to gaze at Morris, Rose nodded her head, pain etched on her face with the movement. "In trying to beat Lilith," she rasped, turning her eyes to her arms, "I used quite a bit of my combative strength, which can cause self harm and what you currently see." Bringing her eyes back to meet his, she continued, "My defensive strength caused some as well, though Lilith was clever in getting out of my favorite method." She glanced around quickly. "We need to move, this circle must be dangerous, and we're sitting ducks." Trying again to get up, Rose managed to stay up for a moment before slumping to the ground again. "I'll slow you all down," she murmured softly, hating her condition more and more. Before anyone moved, another person appeared. Struggling to her feet once again, and managing to stay up, she stepped forward only to fall again. Upon hitting the ground, she yelped. Looking up, she said cautiously, "Hi. Who are you, and are you friend or foe?" The young woman had made up her mind awhile ago; should either newcomer try to hurt her friends, she would freeze them at risk of dying in order for the others to go on.

Rose looked up, having heard the question and knowing it was time to explain. Clearing her throat and wincing from her headache, she began. "I was about to be killed by an inccubus-- Aighan was his name. The flowers were emitting this mist and had dulled my senses, and he wanted me to stay with him. I just had so many questions... I wouldn't be here if Byron and Kenny hadn't been there." Rose's voice cracked, and she struggled to keep her emotions in check. "Together we managed to kill Aighan, after figuring out what sort of demon he was. Then we went to the bottom, where the young painter--do any of you know his name?" she broke off for a moment, glancing around wearily. "Anyway, he had a beautiful angel, a girl his age, and another woman there. The woman was a demon --a succubus-- as well, and served the same function as Minos had in the previous area... A gate keeper of sorts." Catching her breath and preparing for the next part, she forged on. "In our fight, the woman transformed to some creature... There are no words to describe her, but she had wings and snake-like tails. She bound Byron with her tails, and... He was turned to dust. The demoness then tried to attack the artist kid, but was stopped by the girl." Rose allowed herself to be confused for a moment. "Apparently the girl was her daughter... As was Aighan her son... Anyway, she opened a portal for us, and Kenny and the kid went through. I had to..." she paused, not wanting to tell this new person that she had weapons. So she quickly lied, "grab the rest of Byron's belongings before I left and tried to get to the portal. But my exhaustion caught up to me." Taking a long moment to catch her breath, Rose fixed her still wavering gaze on Morris. "How did you get here?" she questioned. Having spent her energy, she leaned back again and shut her eyes, letting her head loll down.

Rose stared in shock at the man as he spoke. She thought he was asking if she was crying and shakily nodded her head. "A-a friend has died permanently," she rasped, wiping her hand against her shorts to clear it of the blood, before she noticed that her arms still had the dried blood of open wounds from the previous area. Mustering up what little strength she had, Rose willed herself clean again, moaning in agony as a headache gripped her.

Rose stiffened, shrugging Ellaria's arms off her lightly as she fought against her exhaustion to get up. Immediately she fell to the ground with a hard thump, so she tried again with the same results. Giving up, and tiredly moving back near Ellaria, she replaced her arms around the girl and began looking around, seeing another stranger. "W-who are you?" she whispered as loud as she could, hating that she was so helpless right now. "What do you want?" Her second statement was interrupted with a coughing fit that seemed to last forever. Rose noticed a little blood as she took her hand from her mouth, and assumed that she shouldn't move for awhile. Worn, she leaned against the wall.

Kenny, that could be what Byron's doing now, and we meet him in Purgatory again

Feeling arms around her, Rose gradually calmed down and took a steadying breath, looking to see Ellaria hugging her while Mr. Taylor was talking to the still unnamed but friendly person. Throwing her arms around the girl, Rose winced in pain and began to speak in a low voice. "Guys, Byron is dead. And he's not coming back. The guardian of that circle was a-a succubus, I think. She managed to turn Byron to dust, and there was nothing Kenny, that artist kid, or I could do about it. They had gone ahead, while I presume you guys found me in the second circle..." Her voice trailed off, and the girl allowed her head to drop onto Ellaria's, too tired to hold it up anymore.
