    You can also grind under the Grand Staircase; good place for Grass, water and fighting types.

    Okay, I did go behind the pillar, but I can't seem to get past that one boulder.

    You need to get Shelly's badge to be able to use Rock Smash. Once you can use it, go back to the Grand Staircase, and when you get to the tunnel that starts as a T intersection with the ladder at top center of the T, take the right-hand fork. There's a passage blocked by a rock-smashable rock. Get past that and you'll find the guy that gives it to you no problem.

    Nope. It's during the magma/aqua attempt to steal that one old woman's pokemon. If you joined Team Aqua, you get a Ponyta. Not sure what you get if you join Team Magma.
