      This. But being a friend who suffers from depression can be draining though.

      I am the friend who left after I was told to get over it or leave, and it hurt even more to hear it from my best friend.

      And, after a while, it does get draining.

      It's really rude to say get over it or leave to a depressed person and I know how you're feeling.. I think your friend doesn't really understand how you feel. Have you tried to talk to them about it ? If you have and they didn't understand you then it's a shame.. it sucks when people don't understand how the others feel.
