Today in DnD tales...

I was the DM, as usual, had a campain planned out for the most part; well, except for one little moment where our Rogue rolled a critical failure for detecting a trap in a very dark environment.

I, never expected it; because it was still fairly mid-game. So, thinking on my feet I decided:

"You helplessly stumble in to the darkness, you are eaten by a Grue."

And, everyone at the table, after a brief moment of silence burst out in to laughter.
