Dear God, that scares me. But to be honest i think its fair. Making the Elite 4 a whole other level from anything we have ever faced is not only what one should expect from such a strong bunch of individuals, but is what we should also expect from these devs 😂. Also i think it will be a good idea as it will reward people who have strategised, sought out specific mons and read and understood the field notes. This actually could 100% happen!!

Guarantee they're gonna read this and think "be careful what you wish for 😈"

Also, the PULSE-Arc is the elephant in the room. A Chekhov's gun waiting to be fired. *shudders*

I assume that rain will be present, similar to hail during titania's battle, as this will grow the field, and when rain is up ya cant burn the field so you will most likely have to waste a turn to change the conditions, What makes it even more scary is that this is an Elite 4 fight, meaning we cant make custom teams for the battle, so i doubt you'll bring both charizard and typhlosion. Everyone saying the postgame looking tough, meanwhile im still terrified for what the main story holds in store for us.

This is 100% not going to happen, but a part of me wishes that the E4 members (except El oh dear god) could each have one legendary, like how it was done in the IRL Reborn League before it was terminated. The prospect of fighting against mons like Jirachi (Anna), Genesect (Bennett), and Shaymin-Sky (Laura) on those specialized fields would be absolutely insane. If you think that makes me a masochist, I enjoyed pre-nerf Charlotte, so maybe I am lol

Burn field via eruption by turn 3. Grassy field turn to fire field  . Her entire strategy goes out the window and the trainer will proceed to clean up the area. Charizard and Typlosion will be the janitors for the rest of the battle .Move on

They're talking about the Flower Garden Field, not the Grassy Field. IIRC, there's no way to destroy the Flower Garden. All you can do is use moves that lower the stage (1-5) of the field. EDIT: nevermind, I just looked it up. Apparently it can be burned in the absence of Rain or Water Sport. I don't remember that being true before. Huh, well there you go lol.

    lol, never knew that existed.

Boy does that ruin my sort of discussion idea.

How dare you make me look like a fool 😛

True lol, but you could always just let us know what you think of the different ways you can gain/lose points with the characters

  5. You may never see this, as you haven't been active in a while, but I have to say that this post is an absolute treasure-trove of information.

Aside from the time loop theory and the theory of Young Lin, I personally haven't seen any of these topics be discussed to a significant degree on the forums.

And as it so happens, I've been a firm believer in the theory of 'Shade is Zina' long before the events of E18, so it feels great to finally have an idea be validated by someone else!

    Spoiler within a spoiler

    Spoiler

There is a catch to that, though.

I don’t think Taka is actually dead. Either that or he will be brought back to life somehow. My reasoning is that you can get tons of points with Taka (even more than the points you get at the Water Treatment Center for not battling him) by talking to him at various locations in the Tourmaline Desert. If Taka isn’t supposed to be alive in the postgame on the Reshiram route, then why would a postgame-only mechanic be coded into the branch of the story in which he ‘dies’? I could be wrong here, but I used this same logic back in E16 to claim that Lumi and Eve would eventually appear as actual characters in the overworld — and sure enough, they have. I guess it’s a good thing Reborn supports multiple save files! 😅

Does anyone know which path is considered "better"? As in what the player should do? I only played the Reshiram path so far because I was lazy to go heal before battling Taka in WTC so I'm not exactly sure what is changed.

    Spoiler

Although I personally don't like how it has turned out so far, the Reshiram path is probably the best way to go in the long run.

I base that opinion on the fact that choosing NOT to battle Taka earns you +1 Relationship Points with both Shade and Anna.

While you earn Relationship Points with most characters based on choices in dialogue and story progression that relate directly to them, Shade and Anna function a bit differently.

None of the points you earn for them have anything whatsoever to do with their interactions with you.

Not only that, but the list of choices you have to make to accrue points with Shade is the EXACT same list as Anna's.

    That list is as follows:

      *  +1:  find all the officers and expose Corey

      *  +1:  beat Solaris' Garchomp at Pyrous Mountain

      *  +1:  Saphira abducted; when Laura asks for your support

      *  +1:  side with Radomus

      *  +1:  say no every time Blake asks for the Ruby Ring

      *  +1:  don't battle Taka at the WTC

So, given how both Shade and Anna are shown (or at least hinted at) in various points of the game to have precognition (a.k.a. future sight), this list is most likely a list of choices that you're supposed to make in order to achieve the best ending possible.

However, don't count on Battle Bond to be available (in regards to the Water Shuriken thing) because Ame has found it to not suit Reborn's theme at all plus it's a terrible gimmick that never should have existed in the first place

I hope this is true. I've always hated Battle Bond.

  9. @Amethyst oh lord, lmao. That epic sarcasm shows you have at least a tinge of Charlotte in you somewhere.

As for me, I'll list a few off that I currently ID with:

Cal and/or Bennett; because while I've made questionable choices in the past (and probably still a bit now), I scarcely even recognize myself as the same human being I was two years ago. My outlook and priorities have done a 180 -- rather than immersing myself in feelings, I focus instead on what is tangible, real, and actually able to be controlled.

Florinia; because I similarly managed to purge my emotional attachments to people after letting myself get hurt one too many times. Ofc it's to a lesser extent (I don't talk like a robot), but the parallel is still there.

Noel; because of his pragmatism and general composure.

Corey; because of his pragmatism and relative cynicism.

Charlotte; because of her pragmatism, incurable snark, and the fact that she has a tough personality that was built upon loss. If I had to pick an individual character, I'm more similar to her than I am to the rest.

Taka; because he's indecisive, lazy, and almost indifferent. Oh, and his dad is a bad influence.

  10. @XII is it slowed down or a few notes lower compared to Dark Crystal? If so, then the speed and pitch must have been altered. Try installing the YouTube Pitch Changer app for Google Chrome. I actually managed to recreate the theme that plays when you're inside the Devonyx building (the one with PULSE Magnezone) by fiddling with that app on Glitch's Pokemon Tower Remix video -- which is on her channel but was uploaded there by a different user for some reason.

  11. 1.)  N's Castle   [BW]

    2.)  Vs. Maxie/Archie   [ORAS]

    3.)  Galactic Grunt Battle   [DPPt]

    4.)  Ghetsis Encounter   [BW]

5.)  Final Battle with N   [BW]

The music in the original Black & White was sooooo good! I had to leave off a bunch of other themes that I like.

    Honorable mentions:

    • Rocket Hideout   [RBY]

    • Vs. Cyrus   [DPPt]

    • Rocket Grunt Battle   [HGSS]

    • Plasma Grunt Battle   [BW]

    • N's Castle Bridge   [BW]

  12. These are just <3

Your style is unorthodox (while still cool might I add), but all 3 are consistent with each other, so I don't have any problems with them at all! ...except maybe the noses on Radomus and Julia, but that's probably just me nitpicking a bit too much. Oh, and it was an interesting choice to give Julia earrings :)
