  1. The 100 is a somewhat decent study in viewpoints. Especially in the way the narrative follows people such that the viewpoint and the person or people you sympathize with makes 180 turns many times.

    Spoiler

Understanding other people is Humanity 101. It is the fucking basis of linguistics and society itself, you person. (It is also how I know such words will offend you and people whose duty it is to admonish me for using such words that accurately convey the regard in which I hold you). Sympathy and empathy are the true cornerstones of human interaction- whether it is with other humans or other species (like pets, for example).

Saying it is impossible to understand other people is willful ignorance. And the antithesis of this whole thread.

    *shots fired*

If there's a takeaway from all this is that people can understand what others are going through, and how it can affect them. Except republicans.

They generally only think about how taxes cost them personally rather than how taxes are use to provide services for all. I mean, who needs police or the fire department, amirite? terrible example right? right. Nobody cares if airports and air force runways are near neighborhoods, creating massive amounts of noise at times when people are at home trying to sleep (I mean, public zoning laws are arbitrary and in no way reflect the experiences and desires of individuals outside one's self, right?). Why should we pay employees anyways? It's not like they have their own dreams and necessities. Stab the next human being you come across and see if you can't understand the verbal and visual expressions that happen as a result. Tell me how that goes for you. Tell me the judiciary system exists independently of the human experience.

Don't tell me that it's impossible to understand other people when contrary examples are all around you.

Yet another TWEWY quote. No spoilers, though. (Still put in spoilers if someone both wants to play TWEWY and play it completely blind.)

"Everyone has their own little internal world, a secret garden only they can enter. Each world follows its own internal logic - individuality. And the logic of one world might mean nothing in another. Understanding other people isn't hard.....It's impossible."

    And this one

"Give up on yourself, and you give up on the world."

    So...understanding other people is impossible.

    Go float yourself.

  3. Yeah... there's no such thing as a kirby game with a 'good' story. You either enjoy the gameplay or you don't play. They're nothing like games like Drakengard or Nier Automata

If you wanna play something that's very story driven, play persona 3, 4, or 5. play the kingdom hearts final remixes. Play some Mass Effect. Play some Horizon: Zero Dawn. Play some Baiten Kaitos. Play some Witcher 3. Play some Dangan Ronpa. Play some Phoenix Wright. Play some Borderlands 2. Play the Last of Us.

Things you shouldn't play if you want 'good' story:

Nintendo games (pokemon, legend of Zelda, Mario, Kirby,  etc)

    Street Fighter

    Soul Caliber

    Monster Hunter

    DBZ games

    Overwatch

Destiny (now that they removed the grimoire and current writers for bungie are clearly not familiar with the lore, but just like Overwatch, there's no story in the game itself)

    Sonic Games

    Crash Bandicoot games

    Spyro games

Although only ever shown in one ending in Starfox Command, I really like Marcus McCloud. I would love if NIntendo would pass the torch from Fox to Marcus and make a game centered on the next generation.

While most will not categorize him as such because of his affiliation with the criminal team, N Harmonia is, by my accounts, the best rival in Pokemon.Yes, he's the (puppet) king of Team Plasma, but he acts far more like a rival than future rivals (Serena/Calem & gang, S/M Hau). He makes you question your own motivations as well as questioning his own.. He challenges you, not for the sake of simply beating you, but to better understand you, your Pokemon, and the relationship between trainers and Pokemon. And even when you beat him in the end, he leaves for his own journey of self-discovery. N is one of the most compelling and well-written rivals I have faced against.

He does represent idealism that isn't grounded in reality. I don't think he's compelling or well written- just one dimensional, which was the point.

  5. Goku's projectile spam wouldn't work all that well in smash, since there really wouldn't be all that much to counter it and allow other characters to approach. Ryu worked cuz his hadoukens were discrete balls of energy with travel time. At most, goku's kamehameha would have to work very similarly to Robin's Thoron, since it travels quickly and the whole length of the beam is capable of damage. His teleportation would likely be put in as a counter (think of Greninja's counter). I can see smaller energy ball barrages as being part of his directional throws, like mewtwo's. Or as his down air, which would make him hover in one spot as he delivered his attacks straight down (rather than plunging down like Link). His teleport could be his third jump like mewtwo's, and his counter can be after image like lucario's.

That reminds me, lucario and goku share the same voice actor in English, so there's that.

His jumps would be more like flight, similar to villager's balloons, but faster and smoother but still energy limited- which is similar to rob's, now that I think about it.

He would likely have rage mechanics at higher percents. His super would either be super saiyan/sonic's super, or a big kamehameha/samus's super.

his side special could be solar flare, a short range stun that requires the opponent to be facing you- a better version of mewtwo's confusion.

idk, the more I think about it, the more feasible Goku in smash seems to me.

but why wouldn't they have to? if the allow manga/anime characters, the floodgates that should stay closed open. it will start with Goku, but soon after Naruto and Bleach fans will start bitching about Ichigo and Naruto, and then One Piece and it goes on and on until there are more characters originating from Manga/anime than there are from games. which completely ruin what smash technically is: a party fighting game where mainly Nintendo characters duke it out with a few exceptions here and there (snake, could and Sonic)

    let them bitch.

We don't need naruto- we have greninja

we don't need ichigo- we have cloud/ike

we don't need goku- we have mewtwo/lucario. shit.

And while popular... they definitely have a different feel to 'em. The limit is and always will be whatever the devs feel like, and they've surprised us quite a bit in the past.

  6. Idk, I only joined twitter to yell and poke at bungie about D2.

I know they were doing a thing to purge fake accounts and bots as a result of the russia election meddling stuff, but i thought that was a while back. Conservatives were shocked when their follower size dropped sharply, xD.

  7. Hmm, not sure. Probably talk it over with the friend first.

Anyways, you should probably number the thread titles to make it easier on yourself and others to keep track of these different riddles or whatever.

WWYD (what would you do) #3, WWYD #4, etc, etc.

  8. Why would you give a random gangster a gun? Why would you not simply make him tell you where the hideout was? How do you know he runs a gang and how to identify his gang symbols? Even if a person is wanted Dead or Alive, killing is still a last resort. Even in military ops, you're better off capturing a dude and recovering intel from the scene than just merc'ing a dude or blowing up the whole joint. The only reason you would actually kill a target is to protect your life or the lives of others. Cops don't send out gangster assassins. The whole scenario is just completely unrealistic and full of holes.
