I think a lot of people are paying a lot of attention to "How Far I'll Go" but this is my favorite from Moana.

Actually, that was when I first returned from boot camp. I didn't have my unit patch or my rank yet (PFC now)
Ah. You getting along with the e-4 mafia?
@Alchemia Chan- I suggest eating more meat. Preferably beef. And if you work out/lift weights, go for higher weights, even if it means much fewer reps, instead of going for more reps or running farther.

tfw breaking things with your own hands would be cathartic but there's nothing around you'd be willing to break.

banned for terrible picture taken at the aquarium as an avatar.

That feel when you thresh your thumb with the car door...
... to thresh is to separate grain from the rest of the plant...
tfw your lab homework takes several hours longer than expected.

as staff we'll also be taking recommendations like "heyo this dude was super helpful to me with X it'd be cool if they got some EXP for it."
allowing users to do it directly would, as referenced elsewhere, be prime for abuse cases.
This requires some kind of interaction with the auth that is both direct and (preferably anonymous). How will this be handled? Will there be some kind of submission form that requires a post reference? Because someone going beyond the usual to say 'this person was a great help" is definitely beyond the norm.
How often do any of you fill out those "How did we do?" surveys at stores and restaurants that even reward doing so? Even when the person serving/helping you was awesome? This is the sort of thing that makes me feel a bit guilty later but not enough to make me do it. I feel like this method of earning/achieving ace will be under utilized.
If possible, could you make it a part of the reputation feature? Like when you go to +1 a post, could there be 2 options- I like this post or this post was helpful? Or even a third that proclaims the post as both? Can I also recommend some sort of tracking feature that shows an alert when such a thing happens for auth review, just as reports do? Or disable such things from counting in places like the wasteland? oh boy, all the details and methods of handing it... Glad I'm not auth and have to deal with this stuff seriously. Giving me more work 'n shit.

for all the action in that battle, there wasn't that much action. Shoot, dodge and shoot back, dodge and shoot back, bust through a defense and then pokeball capture. It was nice to look at but it was more than a bit too brief for me.

This series continues to be a huge disappointment. It's also a huge tease. It hints at battles and shit but you never get to see any. And I must reiterate how shoddy the animation is.

TIL that the guy who plays Bronn in GoT is also famous in the UK for a cover of Unchained Melodies.

If you guys need proof of my absence

Idk what the standards are for you Norwegians, but over here they'd make you shave that beret more. I'm also shocked you still have hair and not a skin buzz cut.

I don't think the damage to a pkmn would be that substansial. I mean skarmory flies at 190 mph according to a dex entry. And skarmory is not known for hitting that hard or being that fast. Tanking a bullet seems not much of a problem. For the trainer, pkmn and humans are very strongly related in the pkmn universe so you can't consider them like normal humans.
If anything, having a pokemon around means that guns and heavy weapons SHOULD have been invented. Because they're stronger and more dangerous than the wild animals we know irl. We wouldn't have been fighting just other humans for food and other resources, but pokemon as well.
Especially before pokeballs were invented. Before pokemon could be caught in pokeballs to be tamed, people would have had/wanted to defend themselves from predator pokemon or just random encounters, like running into an ursaring in the forest.
Geh, I could go on, but the real answer is that it's intended as a kid's fantasy world and they're trying to both steer away from gun issues and keep the focus on the action/violence done with pokemon. Apply realistic logic to much of anything in the games and it all falls apart. Which leaves us with something incredibly silly, but fun.

TFW you listen to a song for so long that you start paying more attention to the bass line than the main melody.
This isn't the weird confessions thread... :Kappa:
Bass can be really hard to hear sometimes.
Tfw you finally remember that you have your SNES and games here with you at the apartment and you still haven't plugged it in yet. I will have to rectify this oversight soon.
but then tofw you realize you have a bunch of homework that you had to do by tuesday and tuesday is when the Destiny dlc finally drops and you're certain you won't be playing much SNES for a while...

Place your bets, people.

Here we see the domesticated Arkhidon, performing a graceful *facedesk*, a sure sign that life is good these days. Notice the smile, which can also be seen on the wild Arkhidon as it gracefully bounds across the savanna.
