I moved on from pokemon, but i have documented my most insane challenge

first of all; you don't know me, nad i don't view myself as a bigshot in this community. i don't want this to be something for attention.

i made a couple of challenge videos on reborn, desolation & rejuvenation, if you look at my channel then you see my latest video and my last challenge video have a 2 year time gap. in those 2 years i did over 3000 hours of a single challenge in rejuvenation, i tried to beat rejuvenation with all the protagonists teams individually, 

rules:

i only use the 6 pokemon they use in their battle during chapter 15

i can only use that pokemon if i can actually obtain it, with certain exceptions (like alain's partner pikachu), this includes mega stones & mega-Z ring

i have to beat every single battle, including all sidequests, paragon & renegade route, all of it, if i couldn't (on semi-forceloss battles) i explain where i got stuck

if i won a battle with an inconsistent strategie i redo the fight until i find something consistent, and then document it.

 

i used debug but i paid close, VERY CLOSE attention to if it is doable without. 

this was done in v13.5

i completed it with Ariana, Axel, Aero, Alain, & Aevia. (with Aevis done up until the manaphy fight)

and let me tell you, if you thought my origional aevian form only challenge was inpressive, all of these eclipse it.

limitations breed creativity and this is the best example for that.

 

for why i left (skip if you don't care i can't blame you)

1; my frustrations with nintendo and it's fans has reached a boiling point with me

2; i already didn't like the gen 8 pokemon and gen 9 was too much for me. 

3; just growing out of this hobby

4; the flashing lights of rejuvenation every time a battle started and every time a pokemon was sent out where physically getting to me (i tried photosensitivity mode but it also removed battle animations which i didn't mind, tried to fix it myself in the script but no luck)

5; the growing fear of gen 9 being added that all my time in this challenge would be renderd useless with teams changing across the game

 

for WHY i wrote all this.

i have documented all the battles on excel files, with my pokemon stats, what move to use and on what pokemon, & the HP of my pokemon at the end of the turn.

nicely structured and easy to understand.

if anyone is interested in seeing these i can try to send them to you (it'll take some time before you get an answer from me, i don't plan to check regularly)

there are some gems in there like the deathwing pokeball factory with axel or all of the spacea & tiempa fights (both paragon & renegade)

I'm not someone who constantly uploads or tries to keep myself visible in the community, and most of the time I just play when I actually feel like doing something interesting. That's also why I would rather people judge what I'm saying based on the point itself instead of assuming there is some bigger motive behind it. Sometimes I disappear from a game or community for months or years and come back when something catches my interest again. That is an absurd amount of work, in the most complimentary way possible. 3000 hours on one challenge is the kind of thing that sounds fake until you remember what Rejuvenation does to people’s brains. Even if you’re moving on from Pokémon, documenting it instead of letting it vanish into the void is genuinely cool, especially with consistency notes and turn by turn HP tracking. That’s the sort of resource challenge runners love, even years later. If you’re comfortable sharing them, attaching the Excel files here or tossing them into a public drive link would probably be easiest, no pressure to babysit the thread afterward. Also, totally fair on the flashing effects and burnout. Sometimes the healthiest strat is just clicking Run from the whole franchise.
