Reusing common events

Hi, I'm working on a fangame of my own, and I'm using games like Pokémon Reborn and Rejuvenation as a baseline. I understand using tilesets and music require permission from the artist, but I'm wondering about the events in these other games. For instance, if I copy a common event for completing a quest from Rejuvenation, is that seen as stealing or violating ToS.

 

I wouldn't assume so, since it's something that I could just as easily type out, but I just want to make sure.

Hi. I think all the sources are avalible for use, but remember to give credits (most of the scripts have the name of the person in the first lines). Also, you can check the game credits for the people who work in the game.
