Tobi Posted April 20, 2022 Share Posted April 20, 2022 (edited) 1 no. also, Rejuvenation axed that feature (with bonus pokemon potentially appearing through randomizer), couple of episodes back. 2 depends. there are weather patterns that happen randomly, like midday heat or rain, thunderstorm, windy weather etc. there are also fields. and there are other pokemon you catch to compliment your team. any starter can be a good starter. But if you want to play smart, "best" starters are: Torchic (speed boost), Froakie (Protean), Snivy (contrary). Froakie can even defeat your first rivals, with the password of enemies having full IVs + EVs set to on! Or if you wish an early item-hunting mon before Thief move becomes available, just fetch a Magician Fennekin!
