For some reason Suckerpunch also hits me when using Items or using a status move like Thunderwave, or a boosting move like Bulk Up. Is it supposed to be this way or is this something that can't be solved via Scripting? -SKL Quote

Dragon Dance boost Gyarados a couple times and proceed to OHKO everything he has with Bite/Aqua Tail. I Beat him first try without anything fainting thanks to that. And as far as Suckerpunch, I didn't even know it was broken since I don't have anything that learns it right now. 80 damage priority all the time sounds nice, though.
