ReverseRaven Posted July 21, 2020 Share Posted July 21, 2020 (edited) So I've beaten the champion, and while I haven't yet engaged in post-game content, I just wanted to say that I've had such a blast playing this game. The characters and the region feel so lovingly-crafted, and while I facepalmed at the puns at first, I wound up giggling at like 80% of them in the end. I think I've had more fun with Spork than I've had with any of the main series games in a long, long time. Somehow, this fangame captures the childlike wonder I had when I first started playing Pokemon. Even reading the entries about the Lanturn Lighthouse at the very start of the game felt incredibly wholesome. 2020 has been horrible, but this game was a bright ray of sunshine on an otherwise desolate year, and because you've made the game so accessible, I'll probably be playing it again at least once more. Also, if you haven’t already, There are some side stories related to Spork made by ICSW: -Delicia’s Delicious Dreamland -Delicia’s Return to Dreamland made by me: -Forest Guardian (the difficulty of this side story is much harder) Stay strong. The kind of atmosphere you described (wholesome, childlike wonder) is what I was going for, so I'm glad it reached you, especially with everything that's been happening this year! I'm currently working on a reupload that will add Gen 8 Pokemon and a few other additions and updates, so if you'd like to play again, it might be worth playing at the next reupload when it's ready! (I don't have an estimate, but maybe sometime in August at earliest? I was sold when I went through that path with a Furret accompanying me. It was pretty clear what you were going for from there, and imo it's those little things that really set this apart from other games. If I have one lingering question, it's that I still have no idea if Isabelle is trying to tell me something or if it's just gibberish, but it's okay if I never know for sure. Again, thanks so much for making this, and I'm glad to hear you're still working on it. Most of what Isabelle says is just gibberish, but there are a few times where the capital letters in her dialogue can be read as sentences.
