Accidentally traded away Exp Share

Hi all, unfortunately I'm one of those people who traded away my exp. share when I gave my pidgeot for the jaw fossil. I tried to find my old save files, as I know in the past I used to have a whole lot of back ups saving automatically. I don't know what has happened along the way (maybe something changed when I got a new computer, or downloaded a new episode?) but now in the game.rx data files, there is only my most recent save file and four old files from 4 years ago??

 

Would someone be kind enough to trade me a new exp. share? I don't really want to have to start the game again. Also, if someone could direct me to a post that would walk me through the steps so that the back up files are saving again, I would really much appreciate it!

*Don't worry about the back up files. I figured out how to change it. It's a bummer that the default is 1

Hi, thank you so much for the offer! I did a lot of digging and found that I could trade my exp. share from my 4 year old file (once I completed the side quest) to my current file, which worked once I figured it out!
