Brockze Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 There's a laptop called chromebook, it runs some version of android... Try the linux version? Quote
Dazz Posted August 25, 2013 Author Posted August 25, 2013 So my friend would have to change the os? Quote
Brockze Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Um, no. As far as I recall, Android OSes are versions of Linux software, so in theory (I know nothing about this so don't blame me if it goes wrong) the way Linux users run Reborn should work for you. ...Which may or may not be running another OS on there. (Also: Amethyst, have you not seen the chromebook YouTube ad? They are goddamn everywhere.) Quote
Linux Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Probably not, if they can have Wine then yes it can. probably run like crap. FYI: Android is only based on the Linux Kernel, Android has it's own way of executing apps, a Java Virtual Machine, whereas Linux based dsitros are just like all I dont give a fuck and run it. This is why Python (wasn't?) isn't available on Linux. Quote
LisaChrome Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 Hi, I am this friend, how do I download the Linux version? I downloaded reborn where it said that there were 4 mirror links, but I think those were for mac and windows, either way it didn't work Quote
Archer Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Hey I have a Chromebook laptop and when i try opening reborn it wont work. I tried finding Linux on the Chrome store but nothing showed up. I also downloaded the 2nd mirror. I dont know if that is the right mirror for a Chromebook or not. Quote
