[RESOLVED] Choice items

So I'm looking for the "Choice" items - Scarf, Band and Specs. I already know that the Specs and Band are given out by either Team Aqua or Magma but I'm left wondering: is it possible to get the other one you missed out on?

Also, acording to the Item Location Guide v2 the Scarf is unobtainable but that's only E16-proof and obviously we're on 17. So, is it still unobtainable or can I get it somewhere?

The other choice item you don't get can be given to you by the hiker that gives you the Onix in the beginning of the game. But only after defeating Amaria, it seems.

The hiker's house wasn't supposed to be in Lower Peridot? I can't seem to find it post-restoration, nor after defeating Amaria for that matter.

He is in a grassy area above grand view station with nice weather during the day time. If you didn't do the Onix quest at the start I don't think he'll be there.

Thanks for the answer! I rarely play in the daytime so I guess that's why I missed him
