Did the method of evolution change or was magnezone taken out of the game?

In the future, please do try the search feature before making a topic. But to answer, it's still in the game, you still evolve it in the Power Plant. BUT it needs to be in one of the locked side rooms, which you can only access sometime after the 7th gym iirc. This video is about finding Rotom, but Rotom is in the room where you can evolve Magneton, so ye.
