How to open this door in the wasteland?

Please tell me, I just beat Aya, and according to Nicaboo's evolutionary stone video, this door leads to a stairway going down to the cavern you can see below yourself to the left, which has a sun stone inside of it, which I need to get a Lilligant. I really need to open this door!

Find all the blue pillars (ones that look like the ones in Corey's gym) scattered throughout the Wasteland and turn them all pink. Then, the door should open.

I'm pretty sure I turned them all pink but it still won't open ;(

Although with a little forum hunting or thinking up the right search terms, you could find the answer.
