laggless01 Posted July 31, 2015 Share Posted July 31, 2015 Well, I've got an offensive Roserade with Petal Dance/Giga Drain/Toxic Spikes/Extrasensory. Problem is, I found a certain poison TM which I would really like to use on it. Which move should I ditch?*Toxic Spikes is handy to maul an entire team from the beginning with status, but that's it...*Extrasensory is necessary coverage*Giga Drain is a reliable STAB, but 75 BP...*Petal Dance is an incredible powerful STAB, but being locked in a move is not very helpful... Fumble Posted July 31, 2015 Share Posted July 31, 2015 I'd say keep Giga Drain and Extrasensory, since both of them are useful if you want your Roserade to live longer and deal some decent damage. Now, depending on your team, I would say get rid of Toxic Spikes if anything, unless your team utilizes Toxic in some way. They aren't too useful anymore, since Toxic is not always the thing to use (I choose Thunder Wave or Will-o-Wisp for the stat drops), and quite a few Pokemon are immune to it (i.e. Steel types, Flying types, and Levitaters). Besides, you're using an offensive set, so why not go all out? Petal Dance is one of the best Grass type moves there are, after all~ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Petal Dance is one of the best Grass type moves there are, after all~ Thing is, I don't have any other means to inflict status (I banked Vileplume, which originally took that role, had them both on my team at a certain moment). And especially since Madame X and Bullrados I'm cautios to bring something that can inflict such stuff on other pokes. Imagine my face when I learned that those spikes sunk on the water gym field... I've got a Blaziken, Noivern, Meowstic(fem) and Greninja as the other members, and I'm waiting for certain moves to add Mamoswine or so. Meowstic is kinda getting behind, so I might want to find a substitute for that, too... Doubly annoying is that I can't relearn any move that I sacrifice, since Roserade doesn't learn any of those...
