Pokemon Mythology (Future Legendaries)

Recommended Posts

In Generation 6 we met Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde. The three legendary Pokemon are based on Norse mythology that represent Life, Death, and the Balance. It is pretty cool that Nintendo is using religious mythology to come up with legendary Pokemon.

This opens up a whole new opportunity of future legendary Pokemon. With so many creatures from the ancient and even modern religions, we could see some really cool Pokemon. What would you like to see?

Personally I am a big of Ancient Egyptian mythology and would love to see maybe something based off of Set, God of the Desert. Or maybe from Greek mythology and have a Pokemon inspired by Hades.

It'll be cool to have Greece. Like, one for the sea, one for the sky, one for the underworld, like.....giants? Dragons? or even base it off their sacred animal! a Water type Horse not named Keldeo, a electric/Flying type eagle not named braviary and a dark/fire type.....something.....not named houndoom!

Can't we consider the reverse world an equivalent to the underworld? If that's the case wouldn't Giratina be considered an equivalent to Hades?

Personally I'd like to see a grass/dragon other than mega sceptile... something from Mayan or Aztec lore would go pretty well with that
