Also, i'm the only one who hopes that  the devs choose this as Lin's theme?

I think it's perfect for her! Unless they choose an original theme...

Yeah I like the sound of either that or this as her theme, both made by Glitch and have an ominous feel to them, perfect for Lin.

Speaking of Poipole, how did that one lady in Agate City get one? Maybe I'm just overthinking since she's only there for the dex rewards

Bee said that she found it when she was exploring a cave under Reborn City, so most likely the one under the Grand Stairway.

    Xurkitree is an ultra beast

Though Ultra Beasts are not legendary, their strength, obtainability, lore and design make them a sub-category of Legendaries, much like Mythical Pokemon, so they often get included as Legendaries to save people the effort of typing out each sub-category, as the term 'legendary' is rather vague nowadays.

Wasn't some sort of Labradorra Tournament announced? Probably this would be a post-game location for battles, working like Wyndon Stadium in Sw/Sh - tournaments in Singles, Doubles and Multi.

I believe that was a joke, as the Dev blog that announced it was posted on the 1st of April. It would also be kinda pointless to have a post-game tournament location in Labradorra since we have the Nightclub, unless they were able to link something story related into it, although I doubt that.

I'd imagine Labradorra's content would just be the Gym, removal of Team Meteor from the city + destruction of the PULSE's, and maybe a few sidequests to get Mega stones, Z-crystals and the last Department store sticker, as well as cleaning up the city as it seems to have been roughed-up by Team Meteor, similar to the content found in the other satellite cities/town of Reborn.

Balderdash I give it another two weeks  for the community release . At this point , the devs are working really hard to get this game release by spring or after spring . Although , I don’t know when this game is going to release but I’m pretty sure it isn’t far off.

Part 1 for the alpha took about 3 weeks, and there are 3 parts so it will take some time. There is beta testing after alpha which is exclusive to the patreon members which could also be split into multiple parts, then is the community testing(which I'd count as the official release for us as all of us here are community members), then the actual official release.

I personally wouldn't imagine that the community testing/release will begin for at least 2 more months, probably longer. There is just over 3 months left until the end of Spring(or Autumn for the upside-down people like myself) for the community release to be dropped and still meet their original deadline.

Cain, cuz he got in the range of black hole... purely accidentally

At least, I think that was an accident, as the primary target was PULSE Hypno.

Plus, it has been shown Gardevoir feeling... more to Radomus that you think:

    • In the interview, Radomus claimed that he'd met his true soulmate, and that's why he isn't intending to take another wife. Gardevoir, who also said that she has a soulmate, and she was looking forward to that one to propose to her, went completely silent. Later, she stopped the interview, calling Radomus "stupid" (I don't know if after that, Radomus actually knew what was going over her mind, or actually was oblivious... heh... pun not intended... to her declaration)
    • In the Glass Workstation, after winning the 6vs30 gauntlet, while casting black hole, Gardevoir said exactly this:

Implying this is something more that a mere crush. How strong this is? It's very hard to tell.

    • In the Void Sequence, where there are shown events of the past and other things to note (like Kiki actually snapping), Gardevoir... was trying to accept the fact that Radomus and her can't be together. I don't remember the exact dialoque, but it went somewhere around like: "A human and a Pokemon? Together? We aren't living in Medieval Age!". She was trying to say to herself that the closest they will be to themselves is friendship.

Yes, there is a theory that AT LEAST one of them is manipulating the other (Gardevoir trying to get Radomus' trust, Radomus acting like he cares about Gardevoir, but he knows the actual truth and keeps her in check, or both playing the same mindgame, like in chess), but as of V18, nothing is certain.

It is quite obvious that Gardevoir loved Radomus from the game, proven by all the evidence that collected here. However, your post is seemingly structured in a way to 'prove a counter-point' towards my last post, which had been about your claim that Gardevoir was jealous of Zina, not in regards to Gardevoir and Radomus' relationship, which had been acknowledged.

  7. 1 hour ago, Oscarus said:

Maybe. As of right now, the only ones (I think) in the void are Samson/Ciel and Cain (and how did he land there? Did Gardevoir make an "oopsie" while being jealous over Zina?)

Who are you referring to when you say "and how did he land there"? Samson/Ciel were send there while Gardevoir was under the control of Lin(I'm not even sure it's confirmed to be G.Gardevoir, just implied), and Cain was under the control of Hypno, and was forcefully put to sleep in close proximity to the PULSE when Gardevoir attacked, so he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time(not that he could have done anything to prevent that in the first place except for not going to the Glass Workstation).

I also wouldn't say that Gardevoir was jealous over Zina, the two had a seemingly close relationship. While Gardevoir does mention her crush on Radomus, that was 10+ years after Zina so the crush could have developed over that time. Just before Gardevoir casts the black hole, she states "This is my purpose!","Yes, it is! To make sure you lived on -- All those years ago...  This is what she(Zina) asked me to do". Gardevoir's are loyal only to those whom they deem their master, so for Gardevoir to carry out Zina's wish after 10+ years shows that despite not being her Pokemon, Gardevoir respected her so much as to regard her as her master. If there was a hint of jealousy, I wouldn't imagine that Gardevoir would be so willing to reveal the promise that they had, and instead would claim that she is protecting Radomus out of her own love.

Also, if Gardevoir was indeed jealous, why would she care all these years later if Zina had gone missing as that would mean that Gardevoir has Radomus all to herself. This 'oopsie' that you mention doesn't really make sense as Gardevoir shouldn't be jealous anymore, and Cain has nothing to do with it

    Yes... and no.

I might've sped up a bit too much and typed things before thrice-checking, but Adrienn did not age for the last 10 years. Yes, xe was frozen in time for the another 10 years, but I think in Rejuvenation it looks like this:

    • chronologically: mid-40s
    • biologically: mid-30s
    • aesthetically: mid-20s

    Still impressive, though.

Adrienn only has an overworld sprite in Rejuv, so it is pretty hard to judge an age as they're too small to show much detail, and each person views things differently but Adrienn looks to me at least 30 here

I think he is around that - I've spent quite some time seeking out the answer

So you're counting the years xe was frozen in time, causing xem to be 10+ years younger biologically than chronologically, but then praising xem for not looking as old as people xyr own age?

The wiki says that Adrienn is mid-twenties, while Solaris is middle-aged. A middle-aged person is generally between 40-60, and Rejuvenation is probably at most 10 years after Reborn(I'm not sure what the actual answer is). Given this, Adrienn in Rejuv would still be quite a bit younger than Solaris was in Reborn.

If Adrienn never got stuck in the Citae Arc-d'Astrae however, then xe would be of similar age of Solaris in Rejuv

Nah, that voice is definitely the same as the one from Citae Astrae, the Void and the diary in the Glitch World. They all use only lower case letters and begin with something like 'hee hee... this is fun...'

I read somewhere that the voice's event in the Void is labelled something like 'BabyArceusTeaser', but the diary in the Glitch World also refers to baby Arceus in the third person ("it's all thanks to baby arceus", "i'm going to make sure i repay him"), so the theory was that the voice was child Lin, and she has been orchestrating things along with baby Arceus

But in the Dangan Reborn thread, the voice is a different entity (Third) separate from child Lin, so there might be someone even above Lin who is making Lin do what she is doing

I just re-watched a video of the ending to E18 and it doesn't include the "hee hee" thing, except the last sentence which says "i wanna keep playing for a long, long time...". Nothing else in the dialogue sounds like the Citae Astrae voice, and Ame is renowned for not using capitals. Could be worth asking about that if Cass' T-shirt cannon ever returns(I doubt it though as 6 t-shirts was already very generous, and some things have gotta remain a mystery for us to discover)

Also, what's the go with the 'baby arceus'? I thought canonically there was one Arceus, so I always assumed that the 'baby' was just a pet name that the author of the diary used, as it kinda suits their persona, but I've seen others refer to it as a literal baby.

If they REALLY were effective, Gym Leaders wouldn't need to-...

But... This is Pokemon universe, police IS useless there. Unless one of them is some talented Trainer with ranks - like Nanu - they ain't gonna do anything good.

All tasks and threats have to be solved by high ranked League Representatives or some random 10-year olds from who-knows-where.

Yeah the Police do struggle in the Pokemon world, but they're not useless. They attempt to stop Corey(it's a bit hard to stop someone who practically teleported), and they evacuated civilians out of the Obsidia, Jasper and Beryl wards when the Tangrowth's struck. They continue to do tiny behind-the-scenes things throughout the game, but it is hard for them to train their Pokemon and enforce the laws whilst also being severely underfunded. They seem to have some arrangement with the League where Gym leaders seem to have some authority, and allow them to do the battling(roping talented trainers like the MC in as well), while the Police do the other stuff.

Also, your response to 'the cops will pass the message on' was 'they're bad battlers so they won't'. The Police are on our side, so what does being poor at battling have to do with passing on an important message to the higher authority that they work for(I assume the Grand Hall acts as the government headquarters). The reason that the message didn't get passed on is because the dead Fairy leader and the dead Police officer are different people, so it was unnecessary to tell Ame, as it seems she isn't/wasn't in charge of the Police administration.

  13. 47 minutes ago, Oscarus said:

If you mean the policeman, then no - he was the MAIN Fairy Leader. Ame did mention she was going to call the reserve (quite a delayed decision, m'lady), but since Adrienn has returned... No necessity

I think the policeman and the Fairy leader were two separate people, as the Police learn about the outcome of their fallen comrade(at least if you do the quest), while Ame says that she doesn't know what happened to the Gym leader; just that they had gone missing after the Jasper Ward? (not sure which ward Ame said but the officer was in Beryl, so potentially different places). I'm sure that the Police would have passed on the news if they were really the leader.

But yeah, you did catch me out with the reserve leader thing, I had been referring to the one who died but called them the reserve leader due to them being the reserve after Adreinn.

  14. 1 hour ago, Lone Karvanha said:

The name is found in a diary of Ame's, and there is no way for Ame to know Shade's name from a different timeline or whatever. Instead, Euphie might well be the Fairy reserve leader who went missing

I forgot about the whole reserve leader thing, that probably makes more sense. My explanation for the name in the diary would have been something like 'The diary transcended the confines of time and space from the previous timeline' or that Shade tampered with it. My only concern is why the game bothered to tell us the reserve leader's name this late when they're already dead and had only been mentioned previously in one line of dialogue.

And there's another thing worth noting in that thread. The voice that wants to "keep playing for a long long time" is actually separate from Lin, which means in the game there might be a force higher than Lin, that's helping the player as mentioned in the E19 teaser (the text that appears when exiting Hardy's gym)

I've always thought that the voice after Hardy was just Ame(IRL one) breaking the fourth wall and having a bit of fun(I suppose that does mean that there is a higher power than Lin; the Dev's).

  15. 7 hours ago, Oscarus said:

Shade is very suspicious - he/she has always acted in player's favor, and has made an alliance with Elite Four Fantasia and Dark Leader Luna. He/She might backstab us, in the least expected moment, to cause a major twist... but I'm not throwing away the possibility he/she will be Lawful Neutral to the very end.

This is currently just fan speculation so take it with a grain of salt, but Shade is likely the character 'Euphie' who's name is found in a book of gym leaders in the Grand Hall. A mysterious figure seen in the void seen alongside Shade fits the description of the 'taciturn woman in a black and red suit' from the Jasper Ward prophecy. It is assumed that this person is Euphie.

    trchar151.png.b7427a63eaeacc3b93edf1a03d102922.png

In the prophecy, it says that this person helped to fight against Team Meteor alongside others, but ultimately lost and was the only 'good' person left asides from Anna when she made the wish to reset the world.

Aside from this prophecy, there is no mention of this 'reset' but certain events in the game such as defeating Solaris' Garchomp or getting the Reshiram route add relationship points to both Anna and Shade, and these events are the only ways to get relationship points with both characters. The theory goes that both Anna and Shade recall the previous timeline, and Anna was spared whilst Shade had been turned into a ghostly figure. It seems as if the two are pulling the strings in the new timeline to prevent Team Meteor's victory. The main character seems to be the answer they were looking for, which is why Shade saves us from the train and the void and Anna goes to the Glass Workstation.

Also, in this post of the original timeline there are 19 characters(Third doesn't count). Not including Anna, there is a trainer that represents every type (assuming Lin is Dragon type like in the online league, and Nomos acting instead of Noel). Well, all types are included except Ghost, but the mysterious 'boy' who bears resemblance to the taciturn woman hasn't been included yet so adding all the pieces together, Euphie is the Ghost type Gym leader from the original timeline who turned into Shade, and because they stood against Team Meteor in the prophecy, Shade is likely going to remain a 'good' character.

(at least we assume, because there's a chance Fern got revoked from his position after making an alliance with Meteors)

It's been confirmed that El has had an Elite 4 room designed and implemented into E19, so it's likely that he will be fought as an Elite 4 member. El was much more involved in Team Meteor than Fern, so I doubt Fern would get sacked from Reserve Leader if El got away scot-free.

At least there's a chance Lin will use Flygon. It doesn't loose speed on the New World and can learn field boosted attacks like Crunch and Draco Meteor

Fair point, she was after all a Dragon type user during the online league. Flygon can also learn some more boosted special attacks on New World, such as Earth Power, Signal Beam and Swift(transfer move), combined with Draco Meteor.

  17. 3 hours ago, Green Bean 501 said:

I feel like they could have easily used Flygon instead of Garchmp here.

That's what I'm sayin'. I don't recall Flygon being used yet except from Clown Indra and maybe 1 or 2 random trainers, so no important trainers. Saphira may use one, but we don't know that yet so it can't be counted. If the Dev's didn't make the change in E19 then I feel that it was a missed opportunity to use a somewhat strong, underused Pokemon to give it some spotlight(no hate on the Dev's though, there also could have been sentimental value with Terra and Garchomp). Could literally just copy and paste Garchomp's moves and such onto a Flygon and it would pretty much be the same thing(except a somewhat weaker physical attack).

  18. 1 hour ago, Oscarus said:

With the given set, Swampert is more bulky specially than Garchomp. And since both have x4 weakness, and both of those types they're weak to are Special under this field, then well...

Despite Garchomp being 4x weak to Ice, Garchomp has a speed stat of 102, whilst Swampert has 60. The only Ice types that outspeed Garchomp at an equal level are Ninetales-A, Weavile/Sneasel, Froslass and Cryogonal, and with Garchomp's coverage and a lack of Ice Beam, if your Ice type can't tank an attack and OHKO it, then you're up shit creek without a paddle.

Grass types however are much more plentiful, and a lot have more than 60 Speed so Swampert will be having a rough time. I see where you're coming from with Swampert being bulkier, but it doesn't really matter if Swampert can survive more hits if Garchomp doesn't get hit in the first place.

I'm not saying that Terra having Swampert is a bad idea, it would imo make her an easier fight. Her Garchomp, Quagsire and Palossand usually give me a bit of trouble, and I'm sure I'm not the only one so this slight nerf to her might've been helpful.

  19. 8 hours ago, Oscarus said:

    I do agree.

But these Pokemon aren't aces of nobody, so that's fair game.

Sandslash-A is Blake's ace, and is used by two other trainers.

    8 hours ago, Oscarus said:

Also, it also can have Assault Vest for even stronger Special, and doesn't have to rely on drawbacking-Draco Meteor.

Draco lowers Sp.A, so if a Pokemon has higher Sp.D on that field their Special stat won't decrease after using Draco, which removes the drawback of each Draco being weaker than the last.

As for why both characters use Garchomp, I think the teams of each character were designed by different people who didn't know that they had chosen the same Pokemon as the ace, but was kept in as Garchomp was fitting to both (although Terra could instead use a Flygon who is the same type, and has only slightly lower Sp.D and Speed which can also learn the same moves/have the same strategy). Swampert is also fairly slow, so it wouldn't be as threatening as Garchomp as the Grass type exists, although it could probably live one due to the assault vest.

Also, probably worst than this is Aster&Eclipse and Hardy who each had different aces(Hardy's ace originally was going to be Gigalith), but were changed to be Lycanroc (All different forms but still the same pokemon, Dusk and Midday are practically the same minus Tough Claws).

  20. 8 minutes ago, Oscarus said:

Metagross is... already Radomus' ace. If you think Gardevoir isn't explicitly his Pokemon.

As it's his highest level Pokemon, aside from her, in the Gym Battle.

But in the Glass Factory, the second highest leveled one is changed to Espeon

Gardevoir is Radomus' Pokemon who can speak English, and likes to be outside her pokeball like Pikachu in the anime. There isn't really a reason to not count her as his ace. Many trainers in the game use 'filler' pokemon, who are strong pokemon that fill spaces in a characters team if there is no suitable replacement, and to help maintain the difficulty while using different sets.

Some examples of these include: Scizor(Fern, Solaris & Titania), Excadrill(Terra, Solaris & Titania), Sandslash-A(Serra, Blake & Titania(Damn Titania keeps copying everyone)), and Togekiss(Ciel, Victoria & Adrienn).

Metagross, I believe is only used by Radomus(although I suspect Lin will use one) so it could very well be used by another character whilst not being as overused as some of the previously mentioned, nor is it another characters ace.

  21. Turning this thread back towards hype, what do we think Ace's team will consist of?

I doubt they will specialize in Psychic type as we already have Radomus, Eve and potentially Anna, although Pokemon like Delphox and Alakazam seem fitting, as well as Zoroark and Porygon-Z as Ame did say they specialize in the art of illusions and the eternal dark witchcraft of computer wizardry.
