Regarding Maria, I feel like she gave Melia the archetype, or the archetype was transferred to Melia somehow, in the ruined timeline, we find out Melanie is Amelia counterpart, and she doesn’t possess the archetype and tried to steal it from Melia instead, so Melia possibly didn’t have the archetype originally. But if melanie is Melia counterpart it doesn’t explain why she’s a child while Melia is an teenager/young adult. So this is kinda a wild theory

I don't fully understand how Melanie is Melia's counterpart either and the age difference is one of the main reasons but I don't see how Melia acquired the Archetype in the ruined AU unless perhaps it was that Variya woman?

Don't forget that she still had the special ability to guarantee shiny Pokemon since before the beginning of the game's timeline.

It's come to my attention that one of the changes in V13's writing is that after Melia's alleged death in Amethyst cave Ren tells the interceptor: "You might have just met her but you two seemed to click right away as if you've known each other for years" which sounds an awful lot like a foreshadow to @Iamteehee's theory that Melia is somehow connected to the interceptor.

Could Melia be like the interceptor? A soul from another world placed inside of Maria's body?

The age difference can be explained pretty easily. Melia faked her death by time traveling and stayed in the past for a few years training. This is said in dialogue, I think during the first trip to the past, which is also why she looks older after she makes her return in Ch. 5. That is why Melia is much older then Mealine.

  2. I think you need to load one of the backup saves.

You can do this by going to the saves folder and changing one of the saves to Game.Rxdata then replace the soft locked save with that one.

Note that if you have multiple save files, to rename the save properly, I.E. if this is your second save file then you would want to name it Game_2.Rxdata

Anyone know the music used here, I know the remix of the top of my head but I can’t remember the name

You can find them in the game files in the BGM folder. They are Final Duel for first part and final endeavor for second. The first one is the Yveltal theme from super mystery dungeon, not sure about the second.

I think you can get in Chapter 15 points with Florin. I found him in GDC by the Train Station. He was talking about his new plans about Team Bladestar and asked if you want to join. I denied it and got minus points :P

Its available in chapter 14 and is already on the guide.

It was probably added in V13.

  5. If you have debug mode you can use it to spawn a bunch of nuggets then sell them to get your money back. Otherwise, reload a backup save I guess?

I just did the underground section of Zone Zero and had no issues, so maybe it is patched idk.

I did have an issue with some of my Pokemon getting deleted and others duped after rift hippo tho... (solved that by just not changing my team after the Melia part)

  6. I find it hard to believe that this is that hard for you... it should take like 15 minutes to beat tops.

But if your set on cheating, then debug mode has a warp to map feature. It will send you to a random point on the map you selected. You can try and use it to warp past the maze, but that might take a lot of attempts. It also might create bugs or other issues, so use at your own risk.

As for which map number you would need to warp on? I have no idea.

I believe (but I might be misremembering), but if you F12 and look at the location during the Melia/Emma encounter, you'll see that's it's called Zeight. This, in conjunction with Melia's dialogue about the obelisk calling out to her at the end of v13, heavily suggests a connection between Melia and the interceptor.

    Spoiler

Maybe. I thought Zeight was just a mental space? Maybe I am remembering wrong.

We do know that the Archtype IS Arceus (told by Nymeria in her story during ch12), and the MC also has part of Arceus in them (well part of the deity that became Arceus anyway). So Maybe that is the connection?

Wouldn't the main bad thing with Tesla be not saving Amber from Kyogre in Valor?

    Spoiler

You would think so, but according to the V13 relationship guide that is not the case. You gain 1 point if you save her, nothing happens if you don't (other than the unrelated bad ending points)

Like everyone already said, i think karma points will affect which final you get..

Im my mind, there are 3 finals; The bad, the neutral and the true ending.

The bad, which Viscount already said how to get it/start it

The neutral, where you go in the good path, but dont have enough Karma points

And the true ending, where i think you would need to have a insane amount of Karma points and good relasionship point, that will only affect the final version of the game, Or the one before it

    Spoiler

I think there will be a four endings

    1. true ending (A bunch of nonsense to get this probably. Or maybe just high RP/Karma)

    2. Normal/Good end (Don't met the requirements for true end)

    3. Bad End (Take the good path but lose the final battle, or something like that)

    4. Evil End (Join the bad guys)

That is just my guess though.

EDIT: Oh and there is already the other bad ending for handing it over, in the ruined present, so I guess that would also be an ending... There is also the joke "vacation" ending, which you can get before you even get your first mon, by talking to the guy with the boat in the harbor, in chapter 1 (i think he stays there for a while, but ch1 is the earliest)

  9. So I just did the newest rift gardovoir fight and cheesed it with this guy. No Bag Items/Set Mode, normal.

    image.jpeg.8d4bdacb2b8f7852c90043a6fe51ff0c.jpeg

    Yes really.

    -HP/SP. Def EV investment

-Have lovely kiss miss and/or have chesto resto equipped (you can buy them in town). Rift gard will lovely kiss.

-Use purify t1 to get rid of field.

-Use toxic. You need to land it twice cause of lum berry, but lovely kiss should miss a lot, since no field.

-Watch as the shields die to toxic.

-Use recover to heal (or items if your a casual lol)

-If the unkillable god faints have other tanky mons ready, such as the gift Sylveon (hp and SP. Def EV). Just stall out a Gard will die. You can also hit it with moonblast from the Sylveon after using a calm mind to do big damage.

Pretty easy win lol. This guy is a beast <3

    Devs pls no nerf.

The entire situation was extremely confusing. To my understanding, the MC is a combination of the Interceptor (the player), Adrest (perhaps the "being from another world" since the world had to be reset for him to emerge), and the souls of all the available MC's (with the chosen character being the dominant one). Considering Ana is playable with the correct code, I wonder how she fits into all this?

You can find a grave in the past near where the surfer dude gives you a vision, that says something along the lines of "Rest in peace our dear friend Ana". So I guess Ana was a classmate that died before Storm-9?

As for if the MC really did reset things before? I would say maybe, its possible that something went wrong. We really just don't know enough yet to be sure.

I saw this yesterday and meant to check that but got distracted by the story.

My Badendingclac is 15 and I'm not sure how that happened. I guess I missed some relationship points?

I did none of the things in the list of things that give the highest bad ending calc; I saved Amber, Tesla and Karen, did nothing in the AU and Florin is alive and up for mayor of GDC as of V13 ( which is a bit questionable because he supported Cassandra and I wonder who it is if he's dead?) but it seems not enough relationship points with certain characters causes bad ending points? It must be that.

You would need to have less than 0 RP points, which is pretty hard unless you are being a dick. You said you had 50 karma right, which would give you I think 5 bad ending points. You would need to have made two of the main friend group not like you in that case, which is unlikely.

I had ten points and had high karma and none of the bad things done, and everyone liked me, which leads me to believe that something related to the calculation is bugged or unknown.

If 0 bad ending calc is required for the best ending, then I am sure they will fix the issue by then. It doesn't matter much right now, unless of course the bug would prevent someone from getting the bad ending path, but I have debug mode in case that happens to me...

i dont think you can make her sad unless ya being an outright ass to her and tbf the opportunity where it happens you would be pretty confused

    Spoiler

The main chance is to say "..." when she gives you the room. I am pretty sure saying that makes it impossible to get her to like you again since its -3 points, and there are very few points with her to be had.

I've just completed both routes of the school of nightmares and am still a little lost on the reveal...or rather not quite a reveal of the MC's true identity.

In the span of a single series of conversations the MC is referred to as 3 different entities:

    - "A being from another world"

    - "A deceased person inside of a doll"
    -  A composite of all of the MCs.

The second one is supported by the scene in which the original MC was inhabited and essentially replaced with the Interceptor so what do the other two references mean?

Is the MC character that goes by our chosen name, the interceptor a real person or some kind of fabricated soul and if it's the former will we find out the our actual origins? Our Nightmare Realm was more or less the original MC's past not ours.

I've also been pondering how this connects to the scene in which the MC falls into a coma. Did being near that house again trigger the NPC MC to briefly awaken and it was them who did all the freaking out ("KEEP IT TOGETHER"!)? This would match with the meltdown the NPC MC has after we defeat them.

I've never been clear on who the two people are who are conversing in that scene though I am pretty sure neither is us. Was it Adrest and the NPC MC?

(funny side note: how awkward is this event for players who chose to keep their MC's original name lol. Come on, there must be some people out there who did right?)

    Spoiler

I think the scene is definitely between Adrest and the NPC MC, or maybe just between all of the MC choices, since they are all a part of the MC (There were changes made the game to reflect this twist earlier, specifically on Valor Mountain, you "Gather your fragments" which are all the different MCs.) This is further shown by the NPC MC using the term "we" when they refer to themselves, which doesn't make much sense otherwise.

The real question is how did Crescent screw up so badly to bring back everyone from that class in one body... I guess she was using technology she did not really understand.

As for who the MC is? I think it is supposed to be the player, simple as that.

not to mention she takes on an adoptive motherly role for you

    Spoiler

I mean yeah, but 20 points?!? That is the same amount of points you get for literally murdering Karrina. Murder is equivalent to making adoptive mama sad, like wat.

I know completing Help requests will both give you karma and unlock the Anti-Assist sidequests, but does karma itself have any function in the game? If not now, is it expected that it will in future versions of the game?

    Spoiler

The only thing it does right now is have an influence on whether you can optionally lock yourself into the Bad/Evil Path in Chapter 15.

    Spoiler

It gives you bad ending points for having low karma (you get 5 bad ending points for every ten points of karma below 55 you are). You can also get bad ending points from other sources, mainly certain major story choices (making the bad choice). Lastly, you can get bad ending points from having people in the main friend group not like you, 5 points per person, with Tesla giving 20 for some reason. If you have 100 you can choose to lock yourself into the bad/evil path.

It should be noted that low karma is not required for this path, you just would need to rack up bad ending points in other ways.

Currently, it has no other effects, but I imagine in future versions it will matter for what endings you can get.

I concur. I'm playing in a V12 save as well and have a Karma score of 50. From what I have gathered in this very thread, that is pretty high.

Granted, I've checked it twice thus far, first somewhere in between the conversation that suggested that the MC did the reset and first component path and then again just now, that number hasn't changed, I don't know how Karma works vs. relationship points which I've gotten plenty new of in v13.

I also have a bad ending score of 0...I think. It takes a bit of an irritatingly long time to scroll through the variable list but I noticed a 0 next to one called 'Bad Ending 1'. 🤷‍♀️

I think it's safe to say that I am in no danger of a or the bad ending but whether or not I am heading in the right direction for the best/true ending I don't know.

That considered I think the only concern with one's karma score in an old version save is missing stuff such a relationship points that didn't exist in the older versions.

Bad ending 1 is something else. I think it is the "hand it over" option in the ruined present.

Bad ending calc is number 700 in debug mode. You can just go from the top and get there pretty quick.

  17. Then how would you phrase the question?

I think this is the best way possible, since it keeps the options short. I am not trying to prove that one type of nature is the best nature ever. I am just trying to see what type of nature most people pick for their Pokémon in general. Yes there is some variety and you will sometimes pick other natures I just want to know what people think is the nature they would pick most often.

Currently, speed is winning which is pretty much what I expected.

  18. 12 minutes ago, Samurai said:

You need a balance of pokemon, especially for higher difficulties. Having 6 glass cannons on your team usually doesn't work, especially when the field/terrain is against you. Also 6 defensive stall mons don't work, especially since we dont have important tms like toxic and stealth rocks yet. On intense difficulty it's not uncommon to use around 15-20 pokemon in rotation to get past some of the toughest battles.

I've just finished an intense run and the only pokemon I remember using in every battle was eviolite porygon 2.

    12 minutes ago, Cerise said:

Honestly no one nature is the best. It entirely depends on what Pokemon you are using lmaO. Diff mons will benefit from different natures; it's honestly dumb to say that a specific nature is the best one because not every Pokemon is going to benefit from a specific stat being raised. As for neutral natures, generally they're nice in a regular playthrough because you don't have to worry about an important stat being lowered. Regardless, neutral still isn't best for all.

I will rephrase the question then, I meant which do you use the most, I get that some natures are better on some mons.

EDIT: I also did say "typically" in the title for a reason btw. No nature is the one size fits all option, but I imagine some natures tend to be more desirable then others.

  19. 10 hours ago, riddlemeree said:

How do you even get less than 0? The max amount of Karma you can lose seems to be only -6. Is it even possible to get the -10/-20 Bad Ending bonuses?

You actually cant get -6 even.

    Spoiler

Two of the hidden library quests give you karma, and I don't think you can do the final one to have Karen die, without doing Hidden Library 1/2. So the max is -4.

I am guessing future versions will have more ways to get negative karma, or maybe in the future killing rift mons that you could save would give you bad karma or something idk. Could also just be an oversight.

Oh really? My bad then. Have not gotten the point of fighting them yet on my current save. I just assumed it wasn't changed, hopefully they put something better there lol cause amulet coin was a weak reward anyway.
