rejuv offers too much exp already.  rare candies  are barely needed.   wanting to obtain early evolutions beyond the cap is a l u x u r y.  not something to design the game upon.

And you are not wrong; but then, why have a vendor in Axis when Rare Candies are basically pointless? If an early vendor is too much (debatable, what with the price and all), at the very least there should be more in the overworld before it becomes meaningless to have Rare Candies at all.

There are many money exploits that not even Jan realizes so I think he’s just afraid that by putting it too early people will find an exploit and then get 2,000 rare candies or whatever.

Fair enough, but barring debug (and if you use that to level up, why even bother) such concerns are easily quelled by making them more expensive. I mean, in Reborn Rare Candies are sold in the early game for 10000 or so and nobody has a problem with that. And even then, you can't overdose your mons unless you want them to ignore you (I assume everyone uses Reverse/Common Candies as soon as they obtain what they wanted). Again, for comparison in Reborn you could easily obtain six LV100 mons by trading and play with such a team, but who actually does that?

  3. Getting to the cap is not the problem; going over it is, for lack of early Rare Candies. They are in the game specifically to allow early access to moves and evolutions, but one should be able to buy them from vendors since there are not enough around as it is when you need them.

The vendor on Route 3 used to sell them before V11, and imho that was the right place to do so (you wouldn't abuse 'em anyway, for lack of money).

  4. In Rejuvenation Rare Candies are used mostly to bypass the hard exp cap and attain evolutions or moves early; you then use Reverse Candies to avoid being constantly disobeyed by your mons.

That said, I feel it's useless to have a Rare Candies vendor in Axis University, when the level cap is around 80 and you effectively don't need them anymore. In my latest run (v11) I had to abuse the Day Care to have my puny Helioptile learn Thunderbolt before evolving it (this was before going to Blacksteeple).

Tl;dr: I believe Rare Candies should be purchasable early game (for a price of course), because as of now there are too few when you really need them.

Funny, i did add that to her Character page.

Well the Mother aspect of Crescent is ripe for speculation and would serve to humanize her. Anyway, back to this, in a way, this sort of ties into the trading aspect of pokemon, where your pokemon can transfer between games, though ironically Rejuv won't have trading. Though i do have a problem with this theory, assuming she really is jumping in between timelines, she would know EXACTLY what we would do such as being in Goldenwood because of Jenner, trying to save Nim ETC, so why so doesn't try to change events more because she should know what would happen. And again, i'm most curious as to who the other PCs are to us, and if those souls in our head know who they are.  Also if she does jump, that would mean there are multiple Crescents native to each dimension, wouldn't i?

Keep in mind that the Interceptor exists outside of Fate and has a major role in about everything that happens in Aevium. Their influence changed history multiple times and, judging by Surfer Guy's words, nothing is set in stone anymore. So having the knowledge of multiple timelines, while useful, shouldn't be enough with the MC around. Maybe that's why Crescent is so insistent in wanting them out of the way.

I was going to say something that "I didn't see Ryland, Saki or Damien make it to the participants list, but, well, neither did we, so...

Speaking of gym leaders, we got confirmation from Amber that there isn't currently a Dark-Type leader in rejuv's league after her father in WLL, so any theories on how that wild card is going to be played?

...Madame X uses Yveltal and (allegedly) a Bisharp, so...

But in all siriousness, we did not exactly witness Deagan die in WLL (we only saw the blood on the ice). But given that we can travel in time, Daegan being alive in the present is not necessarily relevant. We did get the Normal-type badge without Melia's assistance, didn't we?

iirc the ending point of the last episode was Adam's battle, so I think it would be inside the waiting/locker room, and from then to the south.

And if we're on the way to speculate, I guess the Tournament will be called off, right? It's a fun way to stay out of "you either lose a battle when all you've done up until now is win your way until here or you might cut straight through the league/plot", but I think I'm not the only one to be curious as to how the battle against Risa (or whatever the cool diva's name is) and her team.

Or, every remaining Leader will participate in the tournament and will give us their badge upon being defeated, just like Adam did. Now wouldn't that be hilarious.

  8. Someone with Toxic and/or Toxic Spikes can be very useful to whittle down tough customers.

Dragalge is fairly bulky and packs a punch, and so does Drapion, but you're probably better off with a grass/poison to avoid getting swept by ground types (Venosaur, perhaps Amoonguss).

Actually, it's a good idea to prepare someone able to Mega evolve since sooner or later we'll get the Mega Ring (Edit: oops, forgot about Mega-Medicham).

Ultimately, I find useful to have at least a Pokemon able to set up and sweep (anything with Shell Smash, Dragon Dance, Quiver Dance, Shift Gear and the like).

As for your candidates, Jellicent is pretty good, and there are crests for both Cofagrigus and Dusknoir. Clefable with Cosmic power and Stored Power can be a sweeper in its own right, as long as you manage to avoid critical hits.

  9. The math bit is probably there to throw the player off the trail. The differences between Melia and Maria are easily explained by the former being the reincarnation of the latter, Aelita style. After all, the Prophecy of Light needs "four lights not born of man".

  10. Jenner apparently favors a Klingklang (not that he ever used it onscreen).

Also, both Jan and Isha use a Dusknoir. While we're at it, the guys under the lab in East Gaeren seem to be accompanied by their favourite mons (I remember seeing a Volcarona, a Relicanth and a few others).

I definitely did. That's actually the lamest shit in the world. I'm going to be so mad if that matters. So what? One joke ruined my friendship with someone? That's so stupid. Is it possible to retcon that with rpgmaker somehow?

Well, I guess the mood wasn't right for that. For future reference though:

That may also be why melia is having troubles trusting us. At first when she said she couldn't trust us (even after we saved her dumbass like 4000 times) I got pissed off and confused. Like what have we ever done to be untrustworthy? It seems like all melia ever does is make rash decisions that lead to messes that we have to clean up, and now she has the audacity to say she doesn't trust us?? But maybe she somehow senses that our role as the interceptor is not synonomous with her role, whatever that may be. In fact, we may even have to stop melia from doing something at some point.

As a matter of fact, you probably selected "Huh?" when Melia and the MC returned in Past Sheridan from the bad future and she asked if they (the MC) remembered everything. That little joke is enough to reset and lower her opinion of them.

  13. Whose side is Amanda on anyway? Could it be Bladestar? Neither Team Xen nor the Stormchasers seem to want Melia dead as of now, and Amanda apparently disappeared from GDC one day only to turn up much later without explanation (as a npc in the Residential District recalls). Maybe abducted and conscripted? Actually, Rune disappeared out of the blue just like that, now that I think about it, and she just so happens to be Flora's oldest friend. Speculations aside, Amanda knew about the bomb at the very least.

  14. You can get a shiny Riolu in GDC if you have the correct password (which you get by finishing Where Love Lies, but you should be able to find it looking in the forum).

You can also get a Mystery Egg in Route 3 by trading a Phantump egg where all the vendors are.

    And if that's not enough:

  15. Actually, after looking around the region with my previous character I found out an appearance-changing npc in Axis University (very late game). I guess the question then would be: are there other such npcs in Aevium as of V11? Doesn't seem so, but better safe than sorry.

  16. Hello everyone. Started a new run some time ago using the legacy sprites for the MC, however once in Amberette Town a change of appearance is required to progress, making it impossible to change back to the legacy sprites.

V11 seems to have removed the appearance-changing npcs, so I'm asking: is there a way to revert to the legacy sprites in-game as of V11? If not, how to manually change the sprites being used?

Also, I'd rather not mess around with file names... That could be problematic for future runs.
