  1. Write down a list of all the items you have in all your pockets in your bag.

    Get access to debug.

    Clear your bag using debug.

Add back all your items using debug.

This'll clean up your bag and put everything in the right pocket.

  2. Alright, so I did a few things.

I downloaded an alternate build as my build wouldn't replicate the errors I was seeing.

~ I started a new game and soft reset with the normal script, this allowed me to continue as normal.

~ I started a new game and soft reset with the script I have in post 2, this provided me with similar error messages and the inability to load the game again.

~ I then decided to use Gemini and reinsert the line in a fresh Scripts.rxdata, this resulted in the same problem as the one linked in post 2.

~ I then moved where I opened debug within Scripts.rxdata.  (From Pokemonload to Pokemonsave.)

~ The change requires one to save before one can gain access to debug, but after saving and soft resetting, the same error persisted.

So currently, I am unsure of what exactly the issue is, but I believe it has to do with debug being enabled is causing it.  If I were to guess, it is related to debug not closing properly, thus corrupting the build.  As to why that is?  I haven't been able to ascertain why.  V11.3 never had this issue and my build of V12 doesn't have this it either.

The only suggestion that I have is to not utilize debug until after you gain your starter.  It may be bugging out due to something related to the prologue for whatever reason.  I'll continue to look into it and I'll be updating post 2 with this suggestion.  I apologize to both of you if this isn't a satisfactory reply and I apologize to everyone else who may be having similar problems.

Hey, I just replaced the scripts.rxdata in the V12 Rejuv file.

Debug works fine, and the game saves, but once I restart or close the game, I get this error after loading the title screen.

    Any ideas?

Tell me if the same issue occurs when you have this Scripts.rxdata.  (It's the one that comes with v12.)

If it continues to persist, then it's a v12 Scripts error.  If it doesn't continue, then try to see if redownloading Scripts.rxdata in post 2 manages to fix it.

If not, then tell me the exact things you did after originally loading so I can see if I can try to recreate it.  If you're using some Rejuvenation based mods, then that also could be causing the problem.

  4. As of version 12, the Z-Moves pocket was replaced by the Enhancements pocket.  This is a convenient change, but for those who had obtained Mega Stones and Crests in previous versions of the game those items will remain within the Items pocket.  To elaborate, one gives one of the items to their Pokemon, then they can take it from their Pokemon.  If you check the Enhancements pocket, then you will see that it had moved to it.  But if you check the Items pocket, then you'll see that it has also remained there.  This means one can give these items infinitely and they'll just keep duplicating.

In fact, I even tried to toss them away using debug and they still remain.  This essentially ruins the utility of the Enhancements pocket.

I have tried selling them and what occurs is that it'll sell the Stones and Crests in the Enhancement pockets, but it'll leave the item in the Items pocket.  So one could just use this duplication glitch for a slow way to make money.

I utilized Gemini to rewrite the entire functionality of the debug menu's "Empty Bag" to try and create a work around that wouldn't outright empty your bag, but it ended up just deleting from the Enhancements pocket variants only.  I sort of have an idea of a workaround that could work, which would be to let it empty the bag and then refill it with the key items and other items I have, but that'll be a pain to do.  Probably going to try it anyways.

how do i Debug-warp? i just got Debug mode, and want to get Bagon before V12

i dont think so we can. i tried too and i think they might have completely removed the room in v11 therefore no option i  the debug mode. or maybe it is by some other name and someone can tell us but i cheked the gearan lab and couldn't find it.

    1) Install Debug.  You can use the Scripts.rxdata file I have available in my Relationship Guide if you want an easy and fast way to gain access to it.  (You two seem to have it already, but I'm using this step as a formality.)

    2) Load up the game, open your menu, and then scroll down to the bottom to be able to click "Debug".

    3) Scroll down to the forth option called "Warp to Map".

    4) Scroll all the way up to "023 Party Room", which is the twelfth option from the top.

    5) Speak to the box and read the message.

I have acquired an idea for a replacement for Salamence on the canon list. Instead of Salamence how about that one Oshawott that follows you around when you’re first choosing a Pokémon? Seems like a good option.

Either that, the Type Null (Silvally) you get, or the Zorua (Zoroark) rewarded to you for completing the one puzzle in the ruins.

This was actually a gift for the people that donated to help Jan replace his broken CPU back around the v10 release. It’s not meant to be accessible otherwise.

Yeah, that makes sense, especially given the note attached.

How does one do the second option?

The sure way to do it is to move him using RPG Maker.  If you want to try another way, then you could try and abuse the glitch that occurs when one wipes out, which would permit the player to be able to go up and speak with him.

Shit you right and uh... Salamence? What? Never seen that before

Jan has a room called the Party Room where one can get a Shiny Bagon, Shiny Charm, 99 Ultra Balls, 99 Quick Balls, and 99 Dusk Balls, but you can only reach it in one of two ways.

    1) Debug warp yourself to the Party Room.

    2) Speak to him in the Gearen Laboratory in what looks to be off the map.

  9. Alpha Test: a trial of machinery, software, or other products carried out by a developer before a product is made available for beta testing.

Beta Test: a trial of machinery, software, or other products, in the final stages of its development, carried out by a party unconnected with its development.

Essentially, both acts of testings are used to ascertain any problems that may exist in a given product.  In this case, they are being used to discover any issues that may be present within the script within the games.  Such as events working as intended in that they transition correctly, don't crash the game, or lead to any unintended circumstances.  Examples would be the Rift Garbodor bug where it has the player walk into the wall rather than confront Garbodor again, having the map become unresponsive after losing a battle, and the Pokeflute event.  They can range from a simple syntax error to forgetting a couple lines of code.  So really, they catch the most obvious bugs so that the product comes out in a state that is most put together.  Think of it like peer reviewing someone's paper to check to see that it functions well as a paper.  (These testings can also help touch up the dialogue for this as well.)

if Team Xen could recreate Cipher's Shadow Pokemon, i don't see why Bladestar couldn't too.

    1) Team Xen shows that it takes a lot of time and research to actually create Shadow Pokemon.  Remember, they have a hard time mass producing them.

    2) If it was so easy to recreate Shadow Pokemon from scratch, then Nastasia would not have needed to have gone to the Backup Lab with Ren to fetch the research and data related to Shadow Pokemon.

    3) Rift Pokemon are a lot easier to create and she had already stolen the only thing needed to make them.

    4) As I said in one of my previous posts, Flora likely had not found anything on Shadow Pokemon in the lab she had raided for the reasons I had previously stated.

She also is an extremist who does crazy acts of terror to accomplish her goals.  She's crazy, which is why the game tries to use her love of Pokemon as an attempt to humanize her.

I actually love discussing lore, thanks for chatting.

    Likewise on this for me.

  11. Flora's an extremist whose redeeming quality is meant to be her love for Pokemon.  Her being annoyed at her grunts shouldn't mean she loses her love for Pokemon just because they are under those she lacks any real respect for.  The issue with this comes from the game telling us this, rather than ever really showing us this outside one real instance.

The weird diary does indeed tell us that Rift Pokemon hold many similarities to Shadow Pokemon, but as told by Zetta in the Help Center request with Anabel and Looker it doesn't take an understanding of Shadow Pokemon to be able to create or make use of Rift Matter.  Zetta could produce Rift Matter, hence why he was able to create Rift Pokemon.  All it takes to make Rift Pokemon is Rift Matter, which Flora has plenty of.  She even details herself using it in the book one can find on how she used it, "So... We went ahead and applied Rift Matter to Ferrothorn and it went through immediate physical and psychological changes."  This is a lot more simple than how both Team Xen or Team Cipher made Shadow Pokemon.

@ZappoNinja Looks like I stated some similar things that you did.  Hope you don't mind.

  12. 1) You forget that Flora went out of her way to ensure that the Rift transformation would not hurt the Pokemon that is being changed.  She researched Pulse transformations with Dr. Jenkel to ensure that the Pokemon would be put into an enjoyable state of being.  Shadow Pokemon, in contrast, entirely lose themselves and become crazed to the point they begin to damage themselves due to becoming overwhelmed by their own state of being.

    2) This assumes Flora was able to find information on Shadow Pokemon from where she was.  For all we know, the information related to Shadow Pokemon could very well have all been in the lab under Madelis' control in Sheridan and the Backup Lab.  Hence why Nastasia had to go directly there to retrieve all the necessary data and information.

  13. Shadow Pokemon are used by Team Xen members during Team Xen operations.  Thus, we haven't really had many times where they would have been able to show up from when we had last seen them.  The plot has been preoccupied by Team Bladestar as of recent, which draws attention away from Team Xen and their devices (our last interaction was cooperating with Madame X to get back from the altered future and working with Ren - if one even counts that as a Team Xen interaction.)  The last actual operation where we can catch Shadow Pokemon is actually in Amber's home when it is attacked by Madelis.  From that point, the only other time we really came into direct conflict with Team Xen was on Mount Valor.  One can also go back and catch a Shadow Beldum for a later instance of a Shadow Pokemon.  So it isn't so much that Shadow Pokemon are discontinued, it's more like that they are not in our peripherals due to where we are in the plot.

Other plot reasons why Shadow Pokemon don't show up as much as Colosseum or Shadow of Darkness are because:

~ Team Xen were early on established as having revived the project.

~ Team Xen were early on established to have had only managed to create a small supply of Shadow Pokemon.

~ Nastasia went to the backup lab to be able to continue the project and resupply their organization with Shadow Pokemon, hence why Mount Valor lacked any Shadow Pokemon one could catch.

Shadow Pokemon are very likely to show up more when Team Xen launches more operations for us to deal with.

  14. The main issue with said suggestion is that Jan already went out and said what he plans to include and what he plans not to include with regard to Gen 8.  All the posts about it afterward is in way disruptive and comes off as ungrateful for what Jan already said he'd do.  As Commander said, it takes a lot of time and effort to do something like this and Jan has already said he'd do even more by saying what he is planning to include.  Rejuvenation does not need either Dynamaxing or Raid Battles either.  The later of which is already essentially fulfilled, and done better, with Rift Pokemon.  You even have Ren, Venam, or Erin help out in defeating specific Rift Pokemon as it is.  The former, as Commander said, could very well be executed so badly that it'd be more trouble than it's worth to have added.

    Spoiler

Personally, I'm more than happy to see Jan is not planning to waste his time trying to implement either.  Dynamax in particular looks both lazy and uninteresting and I much prefer what Mega Evolution and Z-Moves add to the gameplay, the former in particular.

  15. Whenever I get through version 12 myself, I'll be sure to update this guide with all the new relationship point opportunities.  I'll also provide an updated Scripts.rxdata in the Debug section as well for people's convenience when that time comes.

It would be very funny if you just transformed into the normal version of the Rift pokémon since there're no back sprites for the Rifts (?)

You get the backsprite of the normal Pokemon, but you retain the stats, typing, and ability of the Rift form.  You can test this by fighting Dimensional Rift Gardevoir and seeing Secret Sword do neutral damage to your transformed one.

No problem, I just randomly remembered "Wait, wasn't that a thing" and lo and behold it was.

I think Jan may have forgot about it himself as you can just trigger it whenever.  Contrary to the optional battle with Ren in the Gearen City library where there is a cutoff from being able to do it.

The location of the scene happens in Grand Dream City in the Residential District when going through the gate in the top left leading to the Dream District.

Like it happens right before entering the gate in the Residential District I mean.

Thank you, I'll make sure to also credit you for this as I entirely missed this scene myself.
