    Unable to start game, unplayable with black green stripes and broken visuals

    Hey! I just downloaded the new version, extracted it, and tried running the game, ended up with black and green stripes with all the visuals all buggy, with the colors screwed up and like. The game is broadly unplayable. Can't even start the game in a reasonable state (like, it's theoretically playable, but the visual issues are so bad it's unplayable). Is this something y'all know how to address?

    tysm!! I finally now have a full team, and it looks like (for better or worse) I've caught every dark type I can at this point (assuming Pancham is after Ketta)

     

    Edit: ohoho, no it's not. I can get Pancham through the help board

    i dont remember if you can purify shadow pokemon by that point or if it was after the ketta battle but if you can then i would strongly recommend purifying the shadow grimer you can snag, solid mon type-wise, respectable type coverage and is a mon i swear by in every run i do of this game

    Unfortunately, I gotta wait until after. I totally agree tho, they chillin in the nursery rn just accruing exp waiting to be purified. Would be an absolute tank, taking neutral damage from fighting and being generally pretty bulky.

    @Vinnie Honestly I think a big part of it is just the world we live in now. I can have access to so many terrifying numbers and watch them get worse, minute by minute. I gotta just try and pull myself away from it, and not focus on stuff like that, I think. More human aspect, less raw data.

    Question: do any of y'all worry about like, the possibility of this community just dying? How long are we gonna last before the forums fade to nothing? 5 years? 10? Because I pretty recently decided to come back on, but I totally could have just never done so, and then the community would have had one more person gone forever. Does this scare anyone else, or am I just crazy?

    • Any row whose sum is 5 is a dead row
    • If a row's sum is 6, once you find a 2, the rest is a dead row
    • If a row's sum is 7, once you find a 3 or 2 2s, the rest is a dead row

    Are there any other consistent rules of the game that can be used to mark stuff off as definitely 1s or Voltorbs? Any help would be appreciated!

    Just at a glance, this seems to be a solid team. Good moveset and type diversity. The Meowstic being male would be good, so you have something to setup Light Screens and Reflects to cover the rest of your team. Without anything to break the field on Torterra, Torterra and Noivern would be dead in the water against the ice gym, is the biggest issue I see currently. Where are you right now? Any thoughts on movesets?
