So I missed it. What happened?

Are you only battling with it? Leveling up isn't a good way to build friendship for evolving. Here's how I build friendship to evolve my mons.
1. Soothe Bell(Which you have.)
2. Haircuts
4. STEPS. I usually just do this mostly. Turn on High Speed, open up a Youtube Video(I run a dual monitor) and watch the video while running back and forth until friendship is high enough.
There are more ways to increase friendship but this should be good enough.

Click on Pokemon reborn tab at the top and then click on development blog.

Dragon scale is still in the game. There is a low chance of finding one from a horsea so you just have to keep trying. I'd say I caught about 30 horsea's until I got my Dragon scale. Also make sure your using a Pokemon that increases the chance of wild Pokemon holding an item.

Are you interacting with the correct tombstone for shuppet? You want to interact with the tombstone that says it's too mangled to read. It's on the lower level on the right. As for the pumpkaboo, you also have to interact with a specific pumpkin. Just interact with all the pumpkin's you see and you'll find it. Again, make sure it's night time(dark).

So I've completed the current story of the game and now I'm going around getting pokemon and breeding. I want to get a Chikorita and I read that you can get it on Azurine Island by showing a man a Chimecho but when I entered the building he's not there. Am I too late to activate the event or is the event gone?

okay, that's good to know. I read somewhere it was per gym leader and thought I messed up.

So I believe I messed up. I didn't realize that defeating a Gym leader after the city is restored would open a slot to renovate an area in reborn. I focused on the story line first and renovated my first area after Titania. So I was only able to renovate 2 areas and I can't renovate Azurine island. I came here to find out why it wouldn't let me renovate the last area and I saw that you can after each gym battle. SInce I completed the current version is it safe to assume that I am unable to complete the third renovation until ep. 18 to defeat another gym leader?

I actually just now figured it out. I was trying to go around the right side still riding tauros which doesn't work. Didn't realize you had to dismount. I have obtained the item.

I've done all that, but there are spider webs where I assume I should surf? Heracross won't go up there and get rid of them. I know of the old Joltik event all you had to do was go around a bush to the right, but now that seems blocked off.

I can't seem to figure out how to get Sharpedonite. I know where it's located but can't get to it.

I always go for it to kick it off but I don't do it right away. In the very beginning, money is very tight so you'll need that 1k to help you. Whenever I start a new playthrough, I don't trigger the event until I'm about 2 to 3 gyms in.
