  1. Hi everyone!

I picked up spriting this week and I decided to do the entire Torterra line through all 4 seasons. Thank you to those on the Discord for giving me feedback and advice. Here are some of my favorites, but you can find the entire collection in the attached zip file.

  2. To my knowledge, a Futurama RPG has not been made before, and I'd be interested in expanding upon this concept in the future. Would anyone be interested? What plot elements should be included? Should it be styled as a series of episodes? A movie?

    Let me know your ideas.

  3. My first unofficial level 100 was an Arceus that I hacked into Pokemon Diamond back in grade school.

My first official level 100 actually came fairly recently in Pokemon Moon since I actually took the time to learn about EV's and IV's and whatnot, so I maxed out my Decidueye. Dear lord does grinding in the base game take forever.

I had a level 89 Charizard back in Fire Red, but I lost the game cartridge a long time ago.

  4. From what I understand this episode is likely going to play out the rest of GDC as the mapping was (likely) already mostly done which means that this episode probably just required updates, bug fixes, content, eventing (the longest part), and a few other loose ends.

There are a ton of active story components in Rejuvenation so we could get a variety of different content this episode, but I personally expect the identities of Cosmia and Comet to be revealed, the tournament to get sabotaged or delayed as our player would get eaten alive at this point of the story, the GDC sewer to get opened up for some story component, for team Xen to make their presence known beyond Madelis, and maybe for the player to earn a new badge or two. I hope we get answers on why people are getting turned to stone, but I don't expect that issue to get resolved just yet, and I hope a few other giant questions receive at least some attention such as Aelita's role in her new form, the relationships of Melia/Maria/Mariannette, the player's involvement with Bladestar, as well as the identity of Madame X, etc.

Big hopes, I love this game.

  5. Optional tutorials are great, but I absolutely despise Pokemon's format of holding your hand like a toddler every single game. On the other hand, you take a game like Europa Universalis IV with an incredibly limited tutorial that throws you in knowing basically nothing and then you spend the first 80 hours getting your ass kicked just trying to figure out how to play as a major nation and not suck.

I'm a tutorial hater man. I've never ever prefered that type of game. The more mysterious and difficult it is (without it being annoying), the better.

Have you ever tried a Paradox Grand Strategy game? Guaranteed that you would change your mind if you ever tried one such as Europa Universalis IV. There's a fan-made Youtube tutorial that doesn't even un-pause the game (real-time strategy) for like 10 episodes because of the level of complexity you can go into to really understand the game.

I honestly don't understand the negativity toward gen 7. If you ask me (and more people) they are some of the best games of the whole series, but that's not what we're on about here.

For the Switch game, I'm thinking it will be more of the "spiral of decay" (which I also heavily disagree with, but that's just me) with the old-school Nintendo focus on fun over challenge and story. Because why fix what isn't Broken? And before you say "But it is broken. I found gen 7 horrible and it shouldn't keep going this path.", keep in mind that for you it is broken, but for others (I'm assuming most people playing) it is far from broken.

I'm sorry, but if there is no challenge or story, what is the point of playing a strategy game with a linear story? What other way is there to have fun? It's not like they offer local multi-player or any physical interaction like with Wii Sports. I'm not trying to be rude, but I just don't see the appeal.

And that's exactly the point - Nintendo, GameFreak, the Pokemon Company, etc. are able to rely solely on nostalgia and name recognition to sell their games which allows them to put little effort into something and still sell millions of copies. Take Pokemon Go for example. It had 1/10th of the original promised features (it still lacks most almost 2 years later), but they relied solely on hype and name recognition to generate revenue before they realized they messed up when they lost 90% of their player base about a month after release and had to actually work to try and gain back players.

I expect nothing to change because of my opinion because they're getting exactly what they want out of their efforts. They think that improved graphics and flashy colors will sell more than good writing, and they're probably right because children are their target audience, but I still don't have to like it.

  7. So long story short I've been playing Pokemon for like 15 years and I'm still very interested in the franchise, cool.

However, I've found the last two games (SM & USUM) to be absolutely awful. I understand that these are children's games, but at this point they require zero effort in any aspect aside from mashing the buttons to get through the cut-scenes, not to mention how horrible the writing has been. I'm not sure if it's the cringe-factor of Team Skull, the Rotom Dex which never stops talking and flashing, or the fact that it's basically the same game but with a handful of new less-than-desirable features, but I can't even bear to play through Ultra Sun to reach the post-game which I've heard is acceptable. This is not to say that the older games were truly difficult or that their writing was amazing, because neither of those is particularly true, but they just seemed to be more creative and entertaining to play.

Anyways, I'm sure most of you have heard that the next Pokemon games will be released on the Nintendo Switch, and I was wondering if you think they will try to "switch it up" or continue their spiral of decay? I think there are a few basic ideas that could breathe some life into new games such as difficulty levels, more depth of content, and continuity from past generations. Fan games like Reborn and Rejuvenation will always be there to do what the main series can't (even then the Pokemon Company tries to shut projects like this down), but its depressing to a franchise fall so far from its former glory.

But those are just my thoughts, feel free to discuss your thoughts or perspective on the situation as well as to share any ideas you may have.

Hey, i know that i should make my own topic but im new in this and people will just ignore it, well, someone knows when the next pokemon rejuvenation will be released? i have found nothing about the next version, but i really want to play pokemon rejuvenation when it's completed. P.d: sorry for my bad english.

Be patient, quality development takes a decent amount of time, but Jan is working on gathering a development team to speed up the process. There's also no status thread this time around due to posts like these, no offense. I'd recommend just checking back every now and then, but not making posts like these because the mods will likely delete them.

I discovered Pokémon rejuvenation when it was by V9 so i'm kinda new here....

Well, something fun happened to me when fighting Flora, the grass type gym leader, It was not so bad because i had my Charizard and then....She sends her Venusaur and mega evolve it. Ok, It was the only pokémon she had left and i still had two of my pokémon, but she always one-hit beated them. So, i burned her Mega Venusaur with the move ''Inferno'' from my Charizard, then she smashed my Charizard and i just had Lycanroc left, i was lost, but then i realized i had like 7 Revives, so, while Lycanroc was out, i Revived Charizard, Venusaur smashed Lycanroc but then her HP went down a little bit because of the burn, then i threw out my Charizard and Revived Lycanroc, she smashed my Charizard, then threw out Lycanroc and revive charizard before she killed my lycanroc but lose some HP, then Revive lycanroc and just repeated that until the burn killed his Venusaur, not much of a big deal i think, but it was pretty funny to me and intense too.

I had to do something similar with Angie back in V7, balanced teams struggle against gym leaders who's fields are completely in their favor - I beat Flora by throwing hail on my Quagsire.

  10. This is a great topic, I've had a number of memorable topics in Rejuvenation.

I really like the dimensional rift mons both in terms of their difficulty and the concept behind them. Back when I had my first run-through in V7, I took FOREVER to beat dimensional rift Galvantula as its compound eyes thunder just ripped through my team, but in V9 I was actually pretty upset to see that it was buffed and didn't pack the same punch as I was able to beat it in under 5 tries. However, I absolutely loved the challenge posed by Ferrothorn as my team was not prepared to handle it in the slightest. I went into the quest with my team all at about levels 75-76 as I didn't take time to level up yet (intense mode), and being that I don't have a single mon with a ground move on my team I simply did not pack the power to even dent it. I had my quagsire set up rain because I knew I would need to weaken it somehow, but I was in for a surprise when it transformed and repeatedly swept my entire team that usually relies on a speed advantage. I refused to go back and level up or get a ground type move so I figured out a strategy where I'd switch in my alolan muck and keep reviving my infernape to land a series of close combats because it was my fastest mon (thank you V9 for revival herbs). I was so satisfied when I finally beat it, even if I had to play a little dirty, but that's what makes this game so great.

But my favorite part of the story was on Valor Mountain when Crescent attempted to kill Sharon and Saki showed up out of nowhere with her... uh... machine I guess and saved the day; she's my favorite character and I can't wait until she returns.

I personally believe Crescent is Madame X for the following reasons:

1-They both have been shown to have impressive supernatural powers

2-They both don't have much regard for human life

3-In the prison arc,Crescent sent Melia to Blacksteeple to save the MC and the rest of the captives and find out the motivation behind Team Xen,Why would she send Melia when she can just simply teleport over there and do all of those things in the blink of an eye?,Think about it,Crescent and Madame X have never been in the same place at the same time.

Madame X may be rash and aggressive, but Crescent is downright sadistic and a rogue entity. Its a possibility, but I couldn't see her in charge of Team Xen.

  12. So after playing through Rejuvenation again for V9, I had a few ideas for possible conspiracy theories that may come to light (or not) within the game. Let me know what you think.

    Spoiler

#1 - Angie is Melia's mother: Angie's Gym is called "The Church of Theolia" which either means that she's just an affiliate of Indriad's cult, or that she's a Theolia herself. While in the mansion within the sewers, we also encounter Anju, who is extremely cold and out of her mind - both traits of Angie. While this can be someone else, we can likely assume this to be a broken down and battered form of Anathea, although it would be interesting to see how she would get out of our soul stone, back into the Theolia household, and then transform into the psychotic ice-demon of Kristiline Town. My theory is that Melia, Mariannette, and Maria are not the same person exactly, but different incarnations of each other in alternate timelines which could explain the slight differences between them.

#2 - Crawli is affiliated with Team Xen: I played through this game once before, and in Crawli's old gym there was a pathway that lead directly into Valor Mountain, and with his new gym, this path still exists. This means that he knew he could easily get our team into Valor Mountain without all of the shenanigans surrounding magma drift (although this could be explained by his knowledge that you would need it to navigate within the mountain, but he never says this). Additionally, he may have acted ignorant, but it is hard to believe that he knew nothing about a giant Team Xen base being constructed within his secret shore - he also magically is at the end of the base in the cave without any grunt or admin acknowledging him passing through. To top it all off, his father, Rorrim B, has access to shadow pokemon and is openly hostile.

#3 - Aelita is Madame X: In the most recent episode we finally learn what happened to Aelita in that she was revived, but as a seemingly different person. Souta mentions how he removed a series of chains on her heart which caused her to be incredibly violent, destructive, and ignorant of those she knew (as well as to have red hair) until he placed one of them back on. This would be in character for Madame X as she is extremely violent and angry with inconsistent memory based off of her appearance in Kugearen. How she becomes this way, I am not sure, but with the emphasis the Puppet Master placed on her and the MC working together he could be aware of how much damage she can cause if she is turned loose.
