  1. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, The Last of Us Part 2, Ghost of Tsushima and Cuphead DLC.

These are the ones I really liked.

Sekiro looks insane! The grappling hook is gonna change so much.
If you can get to higher places using it, or thinking about all the opportunities using it, imagine a boss where you have to chase it or you are being chased by multiple enemies and you move around with it.

This e3 hasn't disappointed me yet, it's only up to Nintendo if they disappoint or not.

Smash is guaranteed, so I have high expectations from them.

  3. I'm a student, where I have internship in the biggest electrician company in Greenland.

I get paid for the amount of hours I work there, and I automatically get 40 hours per week during the time I'm at college.

It takes 4 and a half years to finish my education, and in 3 years I'll be an electrician.

  4. I actually wanted to play Nier Automata short after it came out, but I had too many games to play at that time.

Xenoblade, Arms, Mario and Rabbids.. It goes to show that Nintendo did something right with the launch year line up and so on. Hopefully next year will be as good as 2017, or better.

  5. Has 2017 been a good year for gaming and are you satisfied with the games?

So, a lot of things happened this year.

Nintendo launched the hybrid console/handheld and showered us with big games here and there.

Amethyst finally launched E17, but people like me are still wondering when it will be completed.

Lootboxes and microtransactions proved to be a big part of gaming this year, and was a popular topic on the internet to say the least.

It's been a while since this gen of gaming has been this interesting. It's arguably a golden age of gaming. Except lootboxes are a thing.

But are lootboxes okay if it's just cosmetics? Some may say yes, but in my opinion, Super Mario Odyssey proved why lootboxes shouldn't be necessary. Maybe acceptable for free-to-play games, but who am I to say which is the right thing for gaming or entertainment as a whole.

Anyhow, I wanted to recommend my favourite games this year and talk about why I enjoyed them. Also I was bored and wanted to get this subforum a bit more lively.

    apps.37905.13670972585585116.7f29dc82-c969-4e89-aaf9-7c0e3f52d890.2e5a9c92-cf00-4c10-ae28-264c564478c3?w=180&h=270&q=60

First game I want to recommend is Cuphead. This game is a 2D run and gun platformer which focuses on boss battles.

The art and music of this game is heavily inspired by the 30's era of cartoons and jazz music.

I enjoyed this game because the bosses are challenging, I feel satisfaction every time I beat a boss, and the artwork really makes it feel like I'm playing a cartoon.

What really makes this interesting is that the developer of this game, Studio MDHR, is a small company by close relatives and friends who shared a dream of making a great game for gamers to enjoy and succeeded.

When Super Mario Odyssey was first announced, I had high expectations for it.

The game is about, of course, saving Princess Peach. But that's not all. You have to travel the world to do so.

What made me enjoy it is the incredible amount of moons which are achieved by solving simple, yet fun, puzzles scattered everywhere you go. The game is pretty simple, but the controls and mechanics are deep and opens up many stuff to do because of the addition of Mario's new companion; Cappy.

This game is literally for everyone. Casuals, speedrunners, completionists, young whippersnappers and old timers will definitely have a very enjoyable experience playing this game.

    Persona_5_logo.png

Do you like justice, but are you also the rebellious type? Then Persona 5 is for you.

In this game, you get to be a transfer student in a new high school after being falsely accused for assault. Make new friends, develop social skills and discover a new world where you can serve justice in your own way.

What I liked about this game is how the characters are written, they have their own struggles and interests that makes learning more about them fun. Dungeon crawling and turn-based combat is also well done and enjoyable.

What really surprised me this year in gaming is Doki Doki Literature Club!.

Do you like anime? Do you like cute girls? Maybe this game is perfect for you. But the game isn't as simple and plain as it seems for people who may not be into dating simulators or visual novels.

Here you get to join a literature club and interact with cute girls and learn more about their stories. Which girl will you get to know more about?

It offers very well written story with deep and interesting twists. As a fan of visual novels, this game nailed how the gaming as a media differs from other kinds of entertainment like books and movies. It's my personal Game of the Year 2017.

Also, not very suitable for children or people who get disturbed easily.

Petition for ame to play DDLC on stream.

Some other interesting games for me this year are: Nioh, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Breath of the Wild, Gran Turismo Sport, Finding Paradise, and Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony.

What games are your favourites this year and what do you think about the events that happened during 2017?

    It's been a while, hasn't it?

Farfetch'd finally got the buff it deserved, and it gave me some motivation to make a team and start battling again, so here is my current OU team.

This team is only for fun and not intended to be "top tier", although Farfetch'd itself makes it so.

    083.png  @ Stick
    Ability: Defiant
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    Adamant Nature
    - First Impression
    - Brave Bird
    - Knock Off
    - Quick Attack

First of all, Farfetch'd got the base attack stat buff from base 65 to base 90, which is really helpful.

And then it gets an even better addition to its moveset, First Impression.

Stick is and will be the choice of item to hold, since it is its unique item and increases the critical hit ratio. Crits are OP, right?

I gave it Adamant nature to deal as much damage as it can, so that First Impression will do lots of damage.

Brave Bird is a strong Flying STAB, and if someone bulky, like Landorus-t tries to come in, it will get punished. Especially if it lands a critical hit.

Knock Off is always helpful to remove items such as Leftovers, Rocky Helmet, Choice items, and more.

Quick Attack is chosen over Frustration/Return because priority moves are always helpful when a fast opponent is low on health or dealing damage before going down.

    598.png  @ Leftovers
    Ability: Iron Barbs
    EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
    Impish Nature
    - Stealth Rock
    - Power Whip
    - Thunder Wave
    - Leech Seed

Ferrothorn is a great defensive Pokémon to set up Stealth Rock with.

Power Whip is a good STAB move, which helps out Thundurus-t and is great vs Gyarados-Mega.

Nobody expects Thunder Wave on Ferrothorn, which is very helpful to prevent Hawlucha from setting up a free Swords Dance and sweep in Electric Terrain.

When you want to regain some health back, Leech Seed is the way to go. Good against Pokémon like Heatran and Skarmory.

    065.png  @ Alakazite
    Ability: Magic Guard
    Shiny: Yes
    EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk
    - Psychic
    - Shadow Ball
    - Substitute
    - Focus Blast

When your team is not fast enough and doesn't hit hard enough, Mega Alakazam is here to save the day.

Trace is an OP ability, which is very helpful against weather-based teams, tracing Intimidate, or if you're really lucky, your opponent will let you trace Beast Boost and Mega Alakazam will become unstoppable.

Psychic is chosen over Psyshock because it hits Landorus-t harder and even has a chance to drop opponent's Special Defence.

Shadow Ball is a no-brainer for a strong Psychic type special attacker, such as Mega Alakazam. Hits other Psychic types hard, and kills weakened Ghost types.

Substitute prevents revenge kills or helps maintain momentum in tight situations. Even lets you scout what the opponent has in mind.

Focus Blast hits Dark types and Steel types really hard, so you only have to worry about missing.

    647.png @ Mystic Water
    Ability: Justified
    EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk
    - Calm Mind
    - Scald
    - Taunt
    - Secret Sword

This unicorn will mess up your day if you don't know what set it is.

An unexpected Calm Mind Keldeo is a problem for teams that are weak to fast Pokémon that aren't locked behind a choice item.

Mystic Water is the item of choice because it sometimes makes people think it holds Choice Specs. Extra power is very helpful, too.

Scald is the best Water type move, so why not use it?

Taunt to stop Pokémon like Toxapex, hazard users, Trick Room, and even healers.

    And finally, Secret Sword. Duh.

    635.png @ Choice Specs
    Ability: Levitate
    EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature
    - Draco Meteor
    - Dark Pulse
    - U-turn
    - Fire Blast

I was thinking to myself; What's really strong, yet bulky, and is a Dark type Pokémon?

    Of course, it's Hydreigon.

Choice Specs Draco Meteor is nothing to laugh at.

Dark Pulse has a chance to flinch and is a great STAB move for this Hydra, so there was no need to doubt if I should add it.

U-turn helps me maintain momentum when opponent has good Pokémon that resist all my moves.

Fire Blast to hits Magearna really hard. And Ferrothorn.

    642.png @ Electrium Z
    Ability: Volt Absorb
    EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk
    - Nasty Plot
    - Thunderbolt
    - Agility
    - Hidden Power [Ice]

If you want a late-game sweep, then Double Dance Thundurus-t is a fine choice.

There's always an opportunity to set up Agility and deal a lot of damage to the enemy team.

Electricium Z is very strong and will make sure that whatever Pokémon who can eat a Thunderbolt, will go down.

Nasty Plot when opportunity rises. Then the real fun can begin.

HP Ice deals with all the annoying Ground types that are weak to Ice. Also good against Grass types.

    Enjoy, and à tout à l'heure.

Finally Game Freak decided to show Farfetch'd some love...

Also had a very close battle with a new team that didn't have a Farfetch'd.
