    Ability: Stance Change
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def

    - King's Shield

I guess you're asking for ingame movesets. In that case there are some moves that are currently unavailable and some are not suited for when you have to play through longer segments without a pokecenter. I'm just gonna provide change suggestions to the previously posted sets.

Hydreigon @ Choice Scarf currently not available so if you want to go choice go with specs
    Ability: Levitate
    EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk
    - Fire Blast you already got steel covered with Earth Power, I'd go Flash Cannon here for Fairy coverage
    - Draco Meteor
    - Dark Pulse
    - Earth Power

    Ninetales-Alola @ Light Clay
    Ability: Snow Warning
    EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk
    - Aurora Veil
    - Blizzard
    - Nasty Plot
    - Moonblast

    Eelektross @ Assault Vest
    Ability: Levitate
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA
    Quiet Nature
    - Volt Switch  not available, go with Thunderbolt or Wild Charge
    - Giga Drain
    - Flash Cannon
    - Drain Punch

    Drapion @ Waterium Z
    Ability: Battle Armor
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
    Jolly Nature
    - Aqua Jet  Can't learn Aqua Jet but Aqua Tail
    - Swords Dance Not available if you want a setup move you have to use Hone Claws
    - Poison Jab
    - Knock Off

    Empoleon @ Life Orb
    Ability: Torrent
    EVs: 64 HP / 252 SpA / 192 Spe
    Timid Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk
    - Agility
    - Hydro Pump
    - Ice Beam not available and no real replacement. You could change the whole moveset here and go for utility with Defog, stealth Rock etc
    - Grass Knot

    Gastrodon @ Leftovers
    Ability: Sticky Hold
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def
    Relaxed Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk
    - Recover, not really needed ingame, instead you could go for Yawn here, it's very helpful if you need a round or 2 to heal up
    - Earth Power
    - Scald
    - Ice Beam  not available, Toxic would be a good addition.

Thanks for the adjustments for in-game!

Did not have much time then as you can see I mean aqua jet-drapion lol, just a typo ofc.

The team has a veil setter so I was like, let's give it as much set up as possible. And I liked the idea of agility empoleon better over coil eelektross. Also because you already have a water pivot in Gastrodon. And agility empoleon is just really awesome imo lol.

It was kinda set up to set up veil, and then chip away to eventually win with ninetales or empoleon late game (this team doesn't have great win cons).

I agree on the hydreigon but you need a fire move on her. So I'd make it flamethrower and FClashcannon over Earthpower.

But give it u-turn over flash cannon when scarf is available.

If we're talking in-game definitely make eelektross discharge then for the field effects and possible extra support for the possible para.

And as I said, aqua tail ofcourse, and hone claws is fine.

Maybe give it signal beam then, the team doesn't have a bug type move and covers the slot until ice beam is available. If we're talking in game then don't make it stealth rock and defog cause if the way less usefulness in-game which is way less imo.

Toxic us in general a good replacement for ice beam.

  3. Did not put time in it to really balance it out, but it might end up something like this

    Spoiler

    Hydreigon @ Choice Scarf

I did EV train it in sp.attack and speed, but idk it was still kinda underwhelming. Thanks for the offer, though; I already took @N1Dude's advice and got myself a Gastly and a Noibat to train up. That said, I'll keep your recommendations in mind if I'm still having trouble.

Don't forget that Sludge Bomb isn't available yet,

I'm currently running Life Orb Gengar with

    Shadow Ball

    Focus Blast

    Dazzling gleam

    Venoshock

But you should probably run energy ball over focus blast considering you have enough fighting coverage.

You could also teach it Thunderbolt over dazzling gleam to take advantage of the terrain you're setting with magnezone, considering you have fairy coverage with azumarill.

Find out for yourself what's working for you.

  5. You could also use Slowbro and Jellicent and teach them Trick Room to neglate the webs and even use them to your advantage.

Make sure to change all the swift swim abilities and you could hit them really hard with kingdra (focus energy-sniper-scope lens, always crits with draco, neglating sp. attack drop), Azumarill, Swampert or even wailord with water spout. Or kinda try to stall them out with heal items, rain dish, water absorb and stuff. I personally think you should balance it a bit, 2 Trick room setters, 2 bulky mons for healing and stuff (looking at you Lanturn and Milotic, I mean Surf-water absorb is just so powerfull in a double battle, you can heal both your mons in 1 turn while even hitting both other mons while they're both bulky) and 2 very hard hitters. But you'll need to find a good balance for yourself, what works for you.

You could lead with Slowbro and Lanturn, Set up Trick Room with Bro, it might need a Kasib berry to tank a Shadowbone from the Marowak. While you can just Surf with Lanturn, Ribombee sets up Webs.

Next round both your mons will be faster than marowak and ribombee cause of the Trick Room so a double surf should be able to knock them out.

Sticky web is up so all your incoming mons will be faster because of the Trick Room.

You can give the Jellicent a Terrain Extender so Trick Room will be up for 6 turns instead of 2, but keep in mind that Trick Room has negative 6 priority so it will go last always.

By the way, ghost and Dark type attacks have the same coverage. Psychic and ghost types. So you should deffinitely switch Dark Pulse for Will-o-Wisp (or in this case Trick Room) on your Jellicent.

Also switch Shadow claw on your Gator for ice punch.

Maybe give Lanturn Eerie Impuls. It harshly lowers the target special attack which could be usefull cause that battle is pretty full of special attackers. Its always more usefull than ion deluge i reccon.

Since Shellu uses bug type pokemon i think you should either bring swanna or pelipper. I'd say pelliper to boost your water type attacks cause of drizzle under the Trick Room.

Cain uses poison type pokemon so your greninja with extrasensory could be usefull as well. Problem could be is that your greninja could still be faster with -1 speed so that you will go after the opposing pokemon under Trick Room.. But you should try that out for yourself.

    So If you ask me you could try it with;

    Slowbro

    Jellicent

    Pelipper

    Kingdra

And 2 heavy hitters of your own choice, i don't know your pokemon that well so you know best what pokemon will hit hard. If you get your first Trick Room up you'll be able to do some damage so it is up to you to try out what pokemon will do the most damage. Probably Greninja and Swanna or something. Don't forget that Swanna isn't effected by Sticky web cause it's flying typing so i hope it isn't too speedy.

Edit: Totally forgot about Lanturn lol, Lanturn and swampert could work as well. But again it's up to you what works for you the best. As long as you lead with probably Kasib Berry Slowbro or Kasib Berry Jellicent.

    252+ Atk Thick Club Marowak-Alola Shadow Bone vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kasib Berry Slowbro: 160-190 (58.6 - 69.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

calced with 0 ev's in defence and hp for slowbro.

Calced the same thing for Jellicent, but with the berry it still has a chance to knock it out, it deffinitely wouldn't be able to live a surf from your teammate after so you'll need to lead with slowbro.

I hope i helped and got you motivated again!

It’s the starter Pokémon it feels wrong to throw it away. I play through the entire game with my starter and get attached to it. My starter is my ace my own signature Pokémon. For me my starter is the first Pokémon I get and the Pokémon I bring to the end.

So breeding is off the table starter love is unbreakable.

    That's cute

    Just make it Roost-3 attacks.

    Dragon claw/Outrage

    Flare blitz

Thunder Punch/Steel wing/Iron tail/Earthquake, something that helps the coverage and gets boosted by tough claws (besides EQ ofcourse).

    Roost

(Or even Return, max hapiness is 102 BP return, with Tough claws makes it a 130 BP move with 130 Base attack stat, not bad)

If you are an in-game healer potions type of guy you could switch up roost for Swords Dance later on when it gets available.

Or you can do it with work up ofcourse.

Make sure your Charizard is a speed boosting nature while lowering one of the defences. Your normal charizard is mostly going 2 be a special attacker. Only until you get the Charizardite X he/she will become a physical attacker. So make it Hasty or Naive.

At least that's what i would do.

So, I just beat Hardy with a main squad consisting of an Infernape, Azumarill, Hydreigon, Decidueye, Magnezone and Mamoswine. However, I'm not all too pleased with the performance of some of my mons (specifically, Decidueye and Hydreigon; especially Hydreigon), and am looking to replace them. I'm pretty content with the rest of them, though. (Especially Azumarill, this thing is just incredible! Well worth the wait!)

As of right now, these are their current roles:

Infernape, Azumarill, Mamoswine, Decidueye, Hydreigon: All out attackers

    Magnezone: Field setter, status setter.

I've been thinking about diversifying into a different dark type special attacker of a sort, since my team is overly reliant on physical attacks atm. Any thoughts, or mons you might recommend?

    Thanks in advance!

Well, I usually don't know why people would want Ghost AND Dark type coverage because they cover exactly the same. Ghost and Psychic.

And if you want a special attacker i would recommend you Gengar.

It's a Ghost type special attacker, it's fast and powerfull, gives you a new typing in poison and even gives you a potential mega.

That leaves 1 spot open for you. Maybe something that can take advantage out of the field Your magnezone is setting? Maybe Alolan-Raichu is a good choice? It gives you another new typing in Psychic, set up with nasty plot and a great Z-move user.

Edit: I think Gengar is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT for your team (it also gets energy ball for the ground types).

But raichu gives you a third weakness to ground types, a very strong type attacking wise so i suggest you'd pick something else for that.

Considering you're THAT weak to ground types, i'd suggest you'd pick a ground immunity. Like a Flying type or a Levitating mon.

I'd suggest a Dragon type considering 2 of your pokemon are weak to fire, grass and water. Which neglates those as well.

So you should be thinking about a Flygon or a Noivern (or Hydreigon but that's a dark type as well and you're net very happy about that beast appearently 😛 ). Flygon has OK stats and gets dragon dance for a good sweep. Noivern is just Super fast, has OK attacking coverage but a great Z-move user. But then again so is Flygon.

    So I'd suggest

Gengar and Flygon/Noivern to replace decidueye and hydreigon.

I checked with the friendship lady, and it said my Naganadel looked scared. When I raised it at the salon and checked again, she said it felt lost. Are these normal friendship messages?

Well technically you got yours "traded" from Bee. So his friendship starts at 0 right? I don't know how long you have it but Just level it up and walk a lot with it and it should be fine

Have you tried using a trick room set?

Your team isn't very fast and you have multiple pokemon that can definitely set up trick room, such as your Gardevoir. Setup Trick Room a turn before you knock out the Klefki, and destroy her with your fire and fighting types.

I personally hate using X-items, I despise them actually.

So i would definitely go with Trick Room. But I don't know if it will work with Gardevoir because Titania runs Flash Cannon on her Klefki and i'm guessing that 2HKO's her. So i'd go with Bronzong.

Give your Bronzong levitate and it should be able to live Excadrill's smart strike and X-scissor for an easy Trick Room. Then Scrafty's High Jump Kick should be able to OHKO him. Or Darmanitan's Flare Blitz ofcourse.

I wonder traded and got a dratini with e speed so idk

Well, with a mod you can reteach egg moves at the move relearner as well. So without this mod it's unobtainable if you don't trade.

If your Krookodile has Moxie it might be able to sweep a good number of Charlotte's team, at least if it's fast enough. Earthquake should be enough to KO both of Charlotte's leads and the two Moxie boosts from that will allow it to do a number on Charlotte's other Pokémon.

Wing Attack is a pretty weak Flying stab, a neutral Outage has the same power as a super effective Wing Attack.

Charlotte's pokemon are EV-trained and have good IV's.

    Typhlosion's base speed is 100 and Darmanitan's 95.

    Krookodile's only 92 though,

So depending on the natures of Typhlosion and Darmanitan it shouldn't be able to outspeed those. I might be able to look up what their speed stats are.

  11. 2 hours ago, Teto said:

Dragonite : Dragon Dance. Just Dragon Dance. You will learn it soon. Then, you will learn Outrage. With Fire Punch and Extreme Speed, you can hit almost anything.

E-speed is an event Dratini and thus unavailable for Reborn.

Flare Blitz > Blaze Kick. Because if your Blaze Kick doesn't K.O, the opponent will strike back. Since Blaziken has zero bulk, being a glass cannon is a better option.

If He's going to run bulk up he might as well run blaze kick over flare blitz, he'll need turns to set up, and since a +1 blaze kick is stronger than a neutral flare blitz you might as well get rid of the recoil. I do agree on the brave bird criticism though. Bulk-up - speed boost blaziken is OP.

    moonblast

You might wanna run Hyper Voice Pixylate. It's stronger than moonblast and could be useful in double battles since it hits both opposing mons.

I get why your Alakazam's moveset isn't all just yet. The tms an Alakazam needs are available later in the game, like focus blast and dazzling gleam.

If you have the time and know how to do it you might want to consider breeding aura sphere on your Blastoise, it would probably  help you out a bit.

    Tips for Charlotte:

Try to teach 1 or 2 mons rain dance, it will help a lot. Also teach your krookodile bulldoze to help you out with the speed of her mons.

  12. 12 hours ago, Trufa said:

against Amaria Trick Room maybe aren't good, as almost all of her mons are slow. It'll work on other battles.

You battle on the water surface field. This halves all the pokemon speed unless they're a water type or have swift swim, surge surfer or are airborn (flying types and levitate). And in the Underwater field all pokemon who are not water type have their speed reduced to 1/4th. Also the elemental seed boosts their speed by 1 stage Underwater and applies soak to the user. Every water type will probably outspeed or your mons have a speed stat that's higher than 4 times their speed or 2 times when you're above water. So Trick Room should work pretty good. And I didn't even mention the mons who have swift swim like ludicolo, kingdra and mega swampert.

But yeah, a lot of her mons are slow but the fields make your mons a lot of the time even slower.

So i'll have to use 2 more ability capsule for Togekiss? 😂 I wanted to use Ferrothorn with Power whip, stealth rock, gyro ball and leech seed or something like that, with Iron Barbs and Rocky helmet, I thought it could be useful, but I can obtain It only in once upon a time... Thanks for Infernape, later i check that thread. Thanks for bred Pokémon, but i should train until a very High level, don't I risk to have an under-levelled team? And you can trade only in agate circus right?

My Ferrothorn runs Ingrain, Power whip, curse, gyro ball.

With ingrain, leftovers and it's natural bulk (252 EV's in HP as well) you can live a lot of turns. And curse is just great for gyro ball. It lowers your speed and ups your attack which is just beautiful for gyro ball. 2 curse's up and you can OHKO almost anything with gyro ball. Even if it's not very effective (with 252 EV's in Attack).

With your slow Ampharos you could add a Reuniclus or something and make it semi trickroom so your Ferrothorn outspeeds and OHKO's everyone with gyro ball. I have a Trick Room team and i just love this strat.

You could also add an Exeggutor or a Trevenant, those 2 learn Trick Room as well. Or a Bronzong if you want some extra support options as well (like screens, stealth rock, trick, and all kinds of usefull moves) and if you don't want a second grass type.

By the Way if you're not using Trick Room and you want to do well against Amaria, maybe you should add the move Agility to your Ampharos.

  14. Well, a pretty fast bug flying type with compound eyes, sleep powder, quiver dance, hurricane definitely is a good combination. And with the upcoming Bug type gym he might end up being usefull. Although he gets quiver at 45 and hurricane at 50 but, it's up to you. You can always use him and decide for yourself.

  15. When i first started reborn, i didn't know Skill link was a thing.

So when i battled Noel, i was like: Okay if this Cinccino just hits me with 3 or less hits with Tail Slap (or idk what move) i should be good.

And i restarted the game sooo many times and every time it hit me 5 times and i got soooo angry 😂😂

Then i looked it up, and i was like omg i'm so dumb.

Figured out a strategy to live Cinccino's hits. Only to find out that it was holding a king's rock.

So it would take me again so many tries to not get flinched.

That sh1t literally made me take a break of Reborn for a couple of weeks. I was so pissed 😂

It's always interesting to hear of people who choose to trust El over Radomus 😛 I could never do it in any of my playthroughs cause I just like Radomus as a character way too much haha

Saphira! I think her hair is on point but she wouldn't be someone I'd befriend cause there's no space for "friends" in her tight sister circle. I do like her as a character though. Sharp as a knife, much like Tania.

Yeah i do admit that i regret not taking the time to find a way to defeat the arceus but at the time i was just too lazy and too excited to see what would happen in the story that i just could not make myself to find specific items or pokemons because trust me, my team was ass 😄  I really like Radomus too so E18 made me regret that decission even more!

I agree on the Saphira part, but again. Who knows what happens in E19 haha. But for now i do like her badass and protective attitude over her sisters.

But now i remember, i do not like it that she just coldblooded killed those meteor guys on the lake, might've been needed but in my opinion a bit far.

I'd take a look through this topic, it should show off every spot where you can gain/lose relationship points

    lol, never knew that existed.

Boy does that ruin my sort of discussion idea.

How dare you make me look like a fool 😛

For real though, i'm not interested in that. I'm interested in what other people have and what they think without them having had a look at that post to start like a little discussion and to make people think about their own relationship points. Because seeing the relationship variable guide, that just makes it boring in my opinion lol.

  19. Hi guys,

So while downloading the modular episode 18 modpack i saw that i could see my relationship points with (almost) every character in the game.

So i was like, lets take a look and i was actually by some of them really surprised.

That got me thinking, how do you guys feel with your relationship points? And how different are they going to be from mine?

Also i'm not sure how the points system works but let's get into it anyway.

    Here are my relationship points:

    Spoiler

    Adrienn: 2

    Amaria: -4

    Anna: 2

    Arc: 4

    Aya: 1

    Bennett: -2

    Blake: 1

    Cain: 6

    Cal: -1

    Charlotte: 1

    Ciel: 2

    Elias: 4

    Eve: 4

    Fern: 1

    Florinia: 1

    Gardevoir: -3

    Hardy: 4

    Heather: 4

    Julia: 1

    Laura: -1

    Lumi: 3

    Luna: -1

    Noel: 4

    Radomus: -1

    Samson: 3

    Saphira: 2

    Serra: -1

    Shade: 2

    Shelly: 6

    Sigmund: -3

    Taka: -2

    Terra: 1

    Titania: 2

    Victoria: 3

So let me first say that I definitely do not remember every encounter with every character. But some of the points do bring up some memories. But some of them just don't make any sense in my eyes.

    Like;

    Amaria: -4,

I chose to not battle Taka, so that's the Reshiram route? So i guess that's the route where Amaria tries to kill you and is not happy with you? Cause that explains the -4.

    Aya: 1,

I expected hers to be higher, but then again she was not happy with me when i beat her in the gym battle. But we fought team meteor together and had to go through route 3(?) together so i still expected it to be higher.

Blake and Cal: 1 and -1,

so this one made no sense to me. Why would i have a positive relationship value with Blake and negative with Cal while Cal helped me with finding heather and battling team Meteor, his brother, Blake? Blake is a total douche while Cal is trying to get on the right path.

    Cain: 6,

This one just wants to f*ck me lol.

    Elias: 4,

I couldn't defeat Arceus so i decided to side with Elias. Call me weak and lazy i don't care 😛 .

    Fern: 1,

This one being positive surprised me as well, but i guess that is because i probably begged him to let me out of the nuzleaf cage. Not sure though.

    Gardevoir: -3,

not sure why. Is it because I battled her and made her blow up for Radomus at the glassfactory? Guess me believing Ell didn't help either.

    Heather: 4,

Heather being that high surprised me as well, because at the beginning she was pretty pissed off with me for beating team Meteor before her at Beryl.

    Laura: -1,

No idea why this is negative. Probably has to do something with leading Solaris to her so the kids were save in their house? I don't know.

    Luna: -1,

Again, no idea why this is negative. Is it because the glassfactory and because she thought i led Bennett to her in her gym? No idea.

    Radomus: -1,

Again, i'm sorry i couldn't defeat the Arceus okay, jeez leave me alone.

    Serra: -1,

I remember her being a bit bitchy in the glassfactory, i guess she doesn't really like me because i kinda led her son Bennett away from her and led him to leaving with El?

    Shelly: 6,

She's like my little sister ❤️

    Taka: -2,

Oh he mad cauz i didn't battle him. And probably because he died.

    Victoria: 3,

Expected hers to be higher as a good friend and rival.

So there you have it. My thoughts about my relationship points. Let me know what points you guys have, what you think about yours and what you think of my thoughts about my relationship points. I can't imagine your points to be way off of my points but i guess we'll see. People who have done more runs probably know the answer about that already haha.

Thank you guys for reading and let me know!

    N1Dude,

  20. Why did you go for a Z-Draco with an Adamant Chomp while you can easily make him run Z-Outrage for way more damage?

Your only fairy resist is your Aegislash, so i think that you're kinda forced to run iron head on it.

By the way why did you make it speedy with jolly nature? In my opinion you want your aegislash to be slower so you take the hit before you change to your blade form. While King-Shield has priority so you don't need any speed. My aegislash runs max attack max hp adamant with king shield SD shadow sneak and sacred sword. But you lack fairy coverage so i'd suggest you run Iron head over sacred sword.

    About the scrafty:

    252 SpA Gardevoir Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Roseli Berry Scrafty: 270-318 (99.6 - 117.3%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO

So if you want it to live a fairy attack you should give it some sp.def investments and make it intimidate. Or it has to be behind the screens ofcourse.

I get that you have ice punch for the upcoming dragon types but otherwise i'd definitely run Iron head over it purely because you have a mega-gardevoir over there.

But overall it looks pretty solid 🙂
