I think they know if it (at least some of them) but they are not aware of how to actually have it activate.

Na they don't know, they know they're not "normal" cause the daycare people wouldn't raise mons for them. Now they think they're just racist 😅

I'm guessing he was more so asking to identify the problem or cause better. But it seems like the save file is indeed corrupted. You can look up in the forum how to use your back up save file. Just rename the save file with the highest number on the left game.rx and you should be good. Right @Walpurgis? 🙈

Find an ice cream vendor and just keep talking to them then canceling until they sell Blue Moon ice cream. If you speed up the game you'll probably get it in a minute or two which seems like the quicker and easier option if you ask me.

lol never knew that. Whenever i needed one i just kept buying the first option of the machine until it dropped a blue moon with it. I softrestted the game whenever i spend too much money and try again. Would take me around 20 minutes i guess to get one. The day before yesterday the lady in front of the grand hall was finally selling the blue moons so i spend all the money i had to get 6 of em.

@jalil1m I would deffinitely go what @Gheist said.

Its spacial rend. The move rends (tears apart) space.

lol, I know, i know what it does, what the purpose is of the move and how you spell it. Guess I wrote it wrong in excitement cause of my native language.

Thanks for the advice! Reborn is a really interesting game, so I want a different team to take advantage of it, instead of a more standard OU team. I want my team to be able to handle a variety of terrains (hence Nature Power, Lava Plume, Surf).

I'm not interested in trading with other players to get more starters, Pokemon with TMs I don't have yet, etc. because I want to handle the challenge as best as I can from inside my own game.

Should I be trying to breed 5IV Pokemon? Do other trainers, gym leaders, etc. have good IV/EV Pokemon?

I understand that, but a Typhlosion without Eruption isn't near is effective. And Eruption makes a lot of use out a lot of field effects as well (i guess). But you can always run both if you'd like.

Well, cyndaquil is available pretty early in the game i guess, but i'm not sure but froaky is only available as your starter. So you could just start a new run and choose froaky as your starter 😋

Breeding 5IV pokemon is deffinately not necessary to complete the game. I did softreset a lot of static mons and wild mons which i planned on using to get decent IV's. 4 IV in speed or 22 or higher already makes a huge difference but again this is not necessary but does help you a lot.

What i've read on the forum is that the gym leaders won't have max EV's until Charlotte. That's why people start having a lot of trouble with Charlotte. For the IV's it's like first mon, 10 in all stats, second 15 or so. and their ace 31 in all stats (i'm not sure, you can look it up on the walkthrough/playthrough topic on this forum).

EV training your mons isn't necesarry either but does help you out a lot. But to EV train effectively you'll need a lot of stickers from the departmend store to get the power items (right?) so those will be available in the game later on. Otherwise EV training is going to be a pain. When i started EV training i never heard of power items so i EV trained a Goodra to full HP and sp.attack. Took me like 4 hours. You could buy friendship berry's to "control" the EV's on mons a bit by bit to gain more EV's on the stats you want them. But you'll need some leftover money cuz those things got expensive. 1200 per berry and 1 takes 10 EV's away.

I never tried a strategy with Nature Power, but in my view, something so random would not benefit too much. You don't have anything that change the terrain like Grassy Terrain or something like that so you would wait to a proper terrain to use the move. Something pretty useless, in my opinion.

Well, if you read the field effects, nature power can be really fun to use. For example, when you fight kiki, the field effect changes nature power into meditate. Meditate becomes a +3 boost in attack in the same field so that would be very usefull for such a bulky mon with decent attack as tangrowth in that fight.
Overall the fields turn it in powerfull attacks as, T-bolt, Dark pulse, Energy ball, Flamethrower, ice beam, wood hammer.

Another big example is in the mirror field. You play against the ice type gym leader on this field and nature power becomes mirror shot in this field. The field also doubles the power mirror shot and makes it never miss.

In the new world it even becomes special rend! And the field effect doubles the power of special rend. That's extremely powerfull.

So to say nature power is useless is totally not true. A fast special attacker (like typhlosion) could benefit a LOT from this move now that i think of it and look at all the field effects.

  7. Looks like a good team!

Typhlosion with holding what? I'ts Modest so i'm assuming scarf? If so i would always run Eruption for maximum damage. Actually Timid specs should run eruption as well.
And maybe switch swift out for hidden power grass for some extra coverage?

AV Tangrowth is always fun to use. I'm guessing max attack and max hp? You could consider to make it a bit more defensive and have it run Giga drain with knock off. You'd have a bit more recovery and knocking some items off is always helpfull.

I personally prefer slowbro over Vaporeon. Max hp max def. bold natured with calm mind psyshock scald and slackoff is a pretty good core. And it gives your team a potential mega evolution.

I don't really see why clefable is on your team though. It's another quite defensive mon and for the special power are way better opportunities. I'd recommend to swap it out for greninja. It's also a special attacker with a lot of coverage moves but is a lot faster and also hits a lot harder. You don't need the bulk cause you have vaporeon/slowbro and tangrowth already to tank hits.

Krookodile is awesome especially ingame! Too bad that your set is so thrash no offence xD. You don't really need inimidate cause of your defensive mons. Krookodile has amazing attack so why would you use other mons' attack with foul play? Give it knock off or crunch. Break break hit steel rock ice and normal. 2 of those are already covered by EQ. I'd say give it Iron Tail or stone edge to cover ice and fairy or ice and bug. After 2 moxie boosts you probably won't have to hit an iron tail or stone edge anymore to just OHKO mons so most of the time you only have to hit 1. Last move is for you to decide, could even be Stealth Rocks to set up some hazards.

If you make the changes i stated above. you'll be pretty week to bug attacks (you could also switch out krook for dragon dance flygon which is gr8 behind screens). I get the idea of screens and you probably like to use it so i would swap out your bronzong for a sylveon. It also gets both the screens in its moveset and a pixielate hyper voice can still hit pretty hard. Last move can be wish for the extra support. You could also choose for veil ninetales with nasty plot blizzard and moonblast. Also a hard hitter with a screen. You could also give slowbro the screens and make the last mon a fast hitter which resists bug. You can make that choice on your own.

Overall your team looks fun to use and pretty decent but in my opinion it's too defensive with screens. You'd be stalling your own screens out while you should be hitting harder with some more fragile mons behind the screens.

    No problem.

I'm just about done with my Pokédex so, if you need any other Pokémon just send me a message and I can make it happen.

    Wow nice!

Of you could give me a giratina, an Arceus and a mewtwo that would be nice.

    Thanks in advance!

@N1Dude oh! I guess I could spare the mother than. about the same but instead of the 31 Speed she has 31 Sp.Def. does that work?

    That would be awesome :),

And again which shiny do you prefer?

I have what you need right here. Not shiny but 4 perfect IVs in HP/Attack/Defense and Speed. It also inherited a Net Ball, has Adaptability but Modest nature. I can throw in a heart scale so you can try your luck at the nature changer in 7th street.

anyway, I'd like a shiny just to add to my collection but no need for amazing IVs

I just hatched some so i can give you one, they're not shiny though

Wellp, i did not think straight while typing this post.
Forgot to mention that it's for a TR team so 0 speed IV's or anything less than 10 actually would be awesome as well.

So 31 IV's in Attack and HP and less than 10 IV's in speed with aqua jet are needed.

Well if you can miss the heart scale that would spare me some time getting one ^^.

    Which shiny do you prefer?

  11. Hi there people,

I'm looking for a good IV'd Aqua Jet Corphish. Shiny or not would be awesome but doesn't really matter.

I'm willing to trade a lvl 1 shiny rhyhorn

a lvl 22 shiny lucario with perfect IV's in hp, att, and sp. att.

or a lvl 1 pineco with perfect IV's instead of sp. attack.

I don't know if it's fair to ask for a Perfect IV's (or 5 perfect IV's except sp. attack) corphish with aqua jet (shiny or not) compared to what i can offer you guys.

I'm curious to see what you guys will give me for my offer :).

After defeating the pulse swalot and cleaning the water, there is a path in the room with Titania with half a dozen double sided gates. I have already explored everything and am unable to proceed further as the gates will not allow me to pass to free Titania even though they are double sided.

Have you cleared all the water? Is every room full of water and blue again? Then you will be able to pass the "double sided" gates.

The main team is Ferro (Spdef spikes leech seed), Aegislash (Hp/Spatk with shadow sneak), Excadrill (SD life orb), Garchomp (Jolly max spe/atk fire blast Firium Z once I get it), Hippo (toxic/rocks), Rotom-W (Max Def/HP wisp signal beam (alternatively trick choice scarf)). All of them have perfect (in relevant stats) IVs except Rotom is 30 def and Chomp is 29 Spdef.

    SO much hype for E18.

Wow you're hella stacked. The only thing that I can think of your team is besides signal beam you can't really touch dark types but you've got enough to cover for that cause it's such a solid team.

I'm one of those who likes a lot of mons so I've got like almost 2 boxes full of EV-trained mons but I can't be bothered to breed for perfect IV's, I just feel like it's a lot of work for little result so I just softreset or hatch eggs till i get decent IV's preferable in the stats I'm going to EV train ofcourse. But with all those mons I can build like a counterteam against the opponent.

Some of them are build to be a team like a trickroom team, sticky web and weatherbased teams but most of them can be just put together and form a decent to good team.

I'm also sooo hyper for E18 I can't wait either!

  14. 12 minutes ago, Gheist said:

You're probably assuming he has 31 IVs on those calcs and also that OP is actually gonna bother to EV train his mons (or even knows how to).

Haha I definitely was not assuming that. I was just going on a rampage and wanted to see how good Claydol Could be with good EV's and IV's versus max IV's and EV-trained mons of Terra. Could've gone to the walkthrough page to look up their exact stats but that would be too much work and ruin the fun for me lol. And yeah I already said that this wasn't a simple solution anymore 😅. I'm definitely not expecting OP to breed a Claydol to max IV's and then EV-train it to that set but I thought it was fun to calc it just to see how good Claydol Could be in this game cause let's just face it. Claydol actually kinda sucks in-game and in competitive plays.

  15. I'd say keep honchkrow, 2 immunities with sucker punch and moxie plus you love the Mon and I always encourage people to use the mons they love.

Maybe switch out espeon for a Sylveon? Pixie plate pixilate hyper voice hits pretty hard and with max hp and max defence invested in can be a really bulky Mon with wish support. You can also choose to run lefties on it.

You can also choose to switch out azu for A-ninetales. Nasty plot blizzard can hit hard plus you can set up veil so the rest of your team can take hits better as well.

You'll definitely need your magnezone to tank some steel and poison types with these 2 though.

  16. 4 hours ago, LemonJones said:

I'd recommend you to keep it simple. Get something that can setup and sweep 1v6 like a dragon dance user. Flygon would be the easiest one to get.

I agree with @LemonJones. No offence but if you give your delphox a psychic memory to hold you probably don't know much about pokemon and it's mechanics. Keep it simple for this gym and after that learn some more about everything and what pokemon are good and nice to use.
Flygon would be a good pick but keep in mind that dragon is special in this field (gen 1 mechanics). Good thing that her whole team is grounded so you can just click EQ.

You can even just use something like claydol. The glitch field makes it that whichever stat at the special side is the highest gives it the special stat. Claydol has levitate so is immune to ground type attacks and has base 120 special defence, so this makes it 120 base special attack too. In this field psychic attacks are boosted by 1.2 times and it gets Extrasensory so this becomes a 96 base power + STAB move. Give it a Synthetic seed to boost its defence and special stat even more so you hit even harder. Claydol also gets cosmic power which boosts special defence and defence so in this field it also boosts your special attack so you can set up. It also gets heal block so you can even prevent Palossand to shore up and Quagsire to recover. Last i'd run Explosion. It's a 340 base power move in gen 1 so you'd hit hard anyway.

Oefff i'm getting excited! It would be so much fun to use this in the glitch field!
You even completely wall her whole team!

Nidoking, does not OHKO you but you DO OHKO him with extrasensory after the boosts of the synthetic seed.
    252 SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Nidoking Blizzard vs. +1 252 HP / 252 SpD Claydol: 143-169 (44.1 - 52.1%) -- 13.3% chance to 2HKO

Hippowdon, Literally can't touch you. Setup Fodder! Click cosmic power! You easily 2HKO him after the seed boosts but why not get more?

Excadrill, Can only click x-scissor. Good thing it isn't a steel type so extrasensory isn't resisted. He is faster but you OHKO him with extrasensory after the seed boosts as you can see:
    +1 252 SpA Mind Plate Claydol Extrasensory vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Excadrill: 378-445 (104.4 - 122.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

And he doesn't OHKO you even with a crit.

    252 Atk Life Orb Mold Breaker Excadrill X-Scissor vs. +1 252 HP / 4 Def Claydol: 151-179 (46.6 - 55.2%) -- 67.6% chance to 2HKO

Palossand, His Giga Drain is tricky because it has amnesia and the synthetic seeds. You 2HKO him with Extrasensory and 3HKO him if he gets up 1 amnesia. But after that he 2HKO's you and gets hp back so you don't 3HKO him anymore actually. You will need 1 cosmic power boosts so you'll be +2 in the special end defence stat to beat him. Good thing that shadow ball won't hit you because psychic types are immune to ghost type attacks in gen 1.

Quagsire, Okay this mon has unaware so that's just not fair. His blizzard will 2HKO you and your extrasensory 3HKO him so that's a battle you won't win unless he misses 90% accurate blizzards. You could heal till he misses or runs out of pp and set up but that's just kind off an Unorthodox method isn't it. I'd say heal block and boom with explosion (you're faster) so that your other mons can clean him up for you.

Last is Garchomp, Garchomp won't do NOTHING to you.

    +1 252 SpA Garchomp Draco Meteor vs. +1 252 HP / 252 SpD Claydol: 111-132 (34.2 - 40.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO (+1 cause of assault vest).

You can even come in on him without the seed boost and he still won't 2HKO you with craco meteor.

    +1 252+ SpA Garchomp Draco Meteor over 2 turns vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Claydol: 265-313 (81.7 - 96.6%) -- not a KO.

LOL i got Waaaaaayy tooo in to this. Was going on a rampage lol. Got me way too excited. And i know it isn't simple anymore and it won't probably help him but it just looks so great doesn't it? Is there a way to redo the battle so i can use this without having to do a whole new run?😋

Anyway i hope you beat him soon enough so you can progress with this awesome game!

Now that i got into it Colour change Kecleon with Synchronoise looks fun and effective as well :x

Saved my life xD, I´ve battled them countless times but didn´t know you could actually steal those life orbs! Thanks, and thank you to everyone else too.

By the way, how do you teach the elemental monkey those three moves? I can only teach him recycle...

They get fling at level 28 and recycle at 37, teach them thief by tm.

  18. 6 hours ago, thatoneguy9718 said:

Arcanine should be fine but I've always been more of a Talonflame supporter, Im assuming youre on Samson and Talonflame wrecks shop especially since it gets Acrobatics and has a boost in the gym that you will be fighting in, on the other hand Charlotte will destroy you brutally so what Ive ended up doing is picking up a cyndaquil in an upcoming event, get it so it has Flash fire with high speed and have it have eruption, it will work wonders for you

I agree with this guy. His adamant Haxorus with base speed 97 is his fastest mon. He really needs some overall speed control if he wants to win against Charlotte and Samson I guess. Talonflame is a good pick indeed for both Samson and Charlotte. It also helps Swampert with clicking EQ.

  19. Well, Life Orb can be obtained quite easily through the thief - fling - recycle glitch. Just use one of the elemental monkey's (or another Mon who learns those moves) and battle one of the grinding people in grand hall or the clown who gives you shards if you win in the circus.

Find an opposing Mon with life orb, use thief, then fling and then recycle and you'll keep the life orb after the battle ends. Keep in mind that this is a glitch and you should feel bad if you're going to abuse it.  I'm just telling you to get a life orb, not to get 99 Life Orbs 😋

Then 1. Be specific when asking for help with the team, state that "I'm trying a challenge of etc x y and z."

    2. That isn't a tangible approach to reborn with a fixed party of 6. You wanna do that kinda challenge runs on reborn, you're gonna need close to 10-15 mons that can be rotated in and out of your team.

    1. I think it's kinda unfair to the person who's asking for suggestions to just say to him to get rit of recover and use items. He knows he can use items and stuff but with him having recover and other moves like that on his team kinda tells you that he doesn't like to use items that much doesn't it? So i think you're not helping him when you say to him to just use items.

    2. Totally agree with you on that one.
